“The hotel is beautiful!! The room was spacious, the bed was very comfy. The staff was pleasant. It was fun to be there in a Friday night for the farmers market and after party at Phatsy Klines, but Saturday morning was so so so sad. I didn't realize that the rescue mission is a block away as is the vets center. The homeless situation was very distressing.”

“Excellent small restaurant. The menu is straight forward and relatively simple. The food was very well done and delicious. It is a small restaurant in the first floor of the Carter House Inn. A small hotel with a surprisingly lively bar scene. I recommend it if you are in the area.”

“Exceeds expectations at this price point-- recently refurbished rooms are quality remodels and very clean; hot tub area and gym are nice; and has full time help at the desk. Road noise is fine despite proximity (we've never had a room right on the hwy). Breakfast includes fresh eggs, fruit, and waffle machine. Carpet cleaner smell in the room was a little intense(opening window for an hour is sufficient), but no other complaints. Quick walk to the historic eureka downtown for quaint shopping and bars. UPDATE: They are still working hard to provide the best motel experience in Eureka. +We used the limo this time to get to dinner, was great. -Our mattress had minor ruts (room 254).”

“My family and I enjoyed staying at this hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful with any questions we had. The pool was heated and was clean. The hot tub felt amazing after a long day. The complementary breakfast was delicious there was a wide variety of food. The location was in a good spot. This was a fantastic hotel. And we would stay here again.”

“We stayed for Three night in this Hotel in June 2026. One of the best Holiday Inn Express hotels we have stayed in. Rooms were modern, solid beds, clean hotel on the main Road national 101 road. Costco across the way for gas and others more things. A wall around the parking area adds security. Breakfast was one of the best and the same started at 6.00 AM in the morning. they have fresh brew coffee machines for perfect coffee. I would look no further for a stay in Eureka. Nice Hotel to stay when you are going to see the Redwood forest or Eureka city itself. Swimming Pool also in the Hotel for all age group.”

“For the price point, cannot complain. Stayed for two nights. Used as place to rest after long days exploring the redwoods. Rooms were small, but were as advertised. It is right off of a main street, but We stayed on the first floor on the backside and did not hear much noise of the cars passing by. Village Pantry is in the same parking lot which was great to eat at before heading out for the day.”

“Eureka inn is a truly beautiful place. Built in 1922 and hosted many celebrities and politicians. The decor and furnishings in the hotel just makes you feel like you went back in time through some type of a portal.

We stayed there for a week and it was perfect for us as far as price and location to my brother’s house.

Lots of nice vintage shops near by and the BIG redwoods are about an hour north of Eureka.

Beautiful swimming pool, but close during our visit in February, burr a bit cold.

The hotel has a lot of sitting areas in the main lobby, set in different groupings.

They have a continental breakfast with good selection to choose from and open is from 6:30-9:30.

They don’t make the rooms up every day, but they will upon request, which is okay with me because I’m just going to jump right back into bed.

The hotel was very quiet, no late night drunk people talking loud and no kids running up and down the hallway.

Unfortunately the restaurant in the hotel has been closed since the Covid scare. Too bad it looked like it would have been great place to eat. Hopefully they can reopen it again.

Thanks to Rachel and Kayla. You were great hosts!”

“We had a family suite (room 160)for our family of 6 while visiting the redwoods national park. Our room was in a ring that looks like an addition . Only negative is we had to go up a step with luggage with no elevator😩. We did it though 🤣. The room was spacious. For two adults, 2 teenagers and two children. The location was great for walking to restaurants around. The staff was fantastic as well. The place is old but they travel good care of it. We will definitely stay here again. Our experience was very good. We mostly stay in Hyatt but we were treated very well here.”

“Very nice hotel. The person that helped us on 06/15 and 16th was super duper nice and very professional at his job. He was amazingly friendly! The room is clean and a good size. The water pressure is good in the shower too. The bed size is a little smaller than i imagined but still big and comfortable enough for two people. And right next to a Dutch Bros haha”
