    “Popped into Grocery Outlet in Fairfield for a quick run and left feeling like I’d won a small, unexpected lottery. The place has that wonderful scavenger-hunt energy—you never know what you’ll find, but you’re almost always pleasantly surprised. The staff were friendly and the checkout line moved fast, which counts for a lot in my book. My only mild gripe, and I say this with a grin, is that the treasure-hunt vibe can work against you when you’re trying to remember exactly what you came for. I wandered out with a cart full of happy discoveries and absolutely none of the things on my list. But honestly? That’s a pretty good problem to have. I’ll be back, probably with a written list next time.”

You can tell by the way they greet customers and how customers greet them, like they are greeting a close friend. Everyone is kind and helpful, the store is clean, and it is a pleasant store to shop in.”

    “I was shocked it was open 24 hours. I didn't think they were. I went there and was half way expecting the doors not to open. But sure enough, it was open and the store was clean, had good deals, and i was overall very impressed. I asked the guy who was checking out my groceries how long they had been open for 24 hours. He told me only about a week so it is new that they're open all night. The bags of popcorn were two for a dollar, The Laffy Taffy was three for a dollar and the package of Wafers was $0.99. I also got some sugar-free Water flavors that were only a $1.29 for six of them I was very happy with the prices.”

Also, I bought Claritin, which is located by the pharmacy and had the ticket for it. I waited until they got back from lunch and was told I had to take it to the register. The sign did say that, but didn't specify if it was up front or at the pharmacy register.”

    “It's a good store but someone really needs to train the people working in the deli to slice roast beef, pastrami, etc.. ACROSS the grain! This is the 3rd time I've ordered roast beef and just my luck, each time they had to open a new package. They sliced it, I got home and it was sliced WITH the grain. Long fibers, stringy, chewy... for $19 a pound? NO! Nobody slices meat like that.”

    “This review is solely for my guys and girls working the drive up. I've never had to wait for more than ten minutes to pick up an order. The drive up is always seamless; whether it is in supreme cold weather or on a super hot day. The drive up team is always smiling, greets you and thanks you. Thanks drive up team for being A+. One cautious tip: Be careful to keep an eye out while waiting to make sure you don't mistakenly open your car for any crazies. This area of Fairfield is sadly a downhill battle. Anything to the right of the freeway is highly populated of drug users, with some having really erratic behaviors. Others can be suspiciously getting into criminal activity. Let's just say I once had a rando looking into my car and then realizing I was sitting in it.”

    “On this visit I was most interested in the $5 Friday specials. I like to research which items I will purchase prior to visiting. The deli was busy. The chicken is always a hit so there's usually a wait. I was surprised my roasted chicken selection was available. They also had the coleslaw. There were no potatoes which I understood however, it they were in the processing of replenishing, it would have been nice if the counter person mentioned it. Next I visited the bakery for the advertised cake. There was only two left so not too much of a selection but I picked one as I really wanted this cake. I went to check out and the chicken and coleslaw calculated correctly however the cake did not. I involved the teller since I was at the self check out and she came over to assist but wasn't sure about the price either. She went to check the bakery and came back and said the cake was in the wrong location but would still offer the sale price. I mentioned the advertisement for $5 Friday at which time she went to customer service to check the paper. I helped her to locate the ad and she fair about it. Due to the length of time waiting, she offered me the cake due to the lengthy checkout process. In my eyes, this was a great example of customer service. I certainly appreciated it and it made me feel that customer service does still exist.”

    Walmart wants your groceries at the door before the ice cream softens. On May 29, the retailer said its 30-minute-or-less delivery had reached 33 U.S. markets, adding a wave of new cities across the Northeast. Shoppers in those areas can order from more than 100,000 items, everything from fresh produce and baby formula to pet food, electronics, cold medicine, and prescriptions.
