“Found this little gem passing through heading home. I'm a sucker for Jamaican food. The food and service were good. I really enjoyed their homemade juices. Next time I'll have to come back and try the oxtail.”

“overall the new lay out of the store looks great and sure hope it stays clean and stocked. More checkout lines should be opened and someone always supervising the self check out. More help on the floor for customers who have questions or need assistance in finding things. The bakery department declined my cake order two days prior to the event because the decorator was on vacation. I had to go to the other store location and was also turned down because the cake orders needed to be in 3 days prior. I'd ordered before in the past with 24 hrs notice. I was highly disappointed and my son didn't have a cake on his 8th birthday party.”

“Rice with Pork Monggo beans just like my Moms Filipino Family recipe. They have many family favorites. On the other side of the Seafood City market is now a Boba Shop serving Filipino Style Burritos.”

“I read an on-line article about how the best fried chicken in S.F. is served up by a gas station. Krispy Krunchy Chicken, or KKC for short. I'd never heard of this brand of chicken so I did a search on Wikipedia. Interesting story and it turned out that there is a franchise at a Bon Fare Market in my town. I'm familiar with this business, it used to be a "Cheaper" market, (remember them?). Based on the generally favorable reviews I had to try this chicken. The KKC operation is a stand alone operation inside the store with their own dedicated order/pickup counter and cash register. You don't have to stand in line behind the guy buying smokes and a fifth of Wild Turkey. The selection of chicken was a little slim when I went in and I didn't feel like waiting for them to fry up fresh batch so I took a four piece order consisting of two thighs and two drumsticks. The order also came with a biscuit. The chicken was good and moist. The breading is light, not near as heavy as Popeye's, and is advertised as a Cajun seasoning. Now I'm not sure what exactly constitutes "Cajun" seasoning but this chicken had just the very slightest hint of heat. So slight that its almost isn't worth mentioning. All in all the chicken was good. The biscuit was interesting. It was like a sourdough biscuit with a sweet glaze on it. No need for "honey sauce" on this biscuit. Business was slack and the store was devoid of any customers when I made my purchase. The lady behind the counter was polite. My go to place for chicken is still WinCo but they're about ten miles away. This place is within walking distance. A good alternative to Popeye's and Kentucky Fried.”
