837 Lebec Rd, Frazier ParkStopping at nearby Fern Lake, part of Pine Mountain Club, we had just arrived with our terrier mix, Keiko, when she gobbled some jackass fisherman’s discarded fishing lure, including what turned out to be a very large hook that lodged at the back of her throat!
Mountain Aire Veterinary Hospital came to our rescue in every way. We called and were invited in on an emergency priority, traveling the 30 miles to their hospital where they stood ready and waiting to help. And they were great to both Keiko and us, explaining next steps and risks, and working step by step to sedate her for xrays, then interpret the results and prepare the next step.
Keiko was lucky. The hook set just below her tongue and Dr Cosko was able to remove it with heavy sedation. It’s two days later and Keiko is already back to her old (she’s nearly 13 but acts about 5) self!
While we want to throttle some careless fishermen for leaving fish-scented tackle for our curious dog to swallow, we can’t say enough good things about Mountain Aire Veterinary Hospital! Their facility had everything Keiko needed.

3221 Mt Pinos Way, Frazier ParkBest place I have gone to in a long time. They are so welcoming! Everything on their menu looks so good but we got the mushroom stroganoff and the vegan Cesar salad. So delicious. You can really tell they out love in their food. Which a beautiful place. Based on this first time experience we decided to book a cabin and come back for NYE.

6930 Lake Pl, Frazier ParkI had the best experience with Mike's Pizza. The non-profit I work for opened a new location in Frazier Park, and we selected them to cater our open house. We have built a great relationship with Carolyn, the owner, over the past few weeks. Mike's Pizza opens at 11am but she was able to accommodate with our timing and had our order ready by the time they opened. We ordered pizza, wings, mojos, and salad. Everything was delicious! The pizzas were full of flavor and perfectly cheesy. The wing sauces were amazing, we had BBQ and Buffalo. You can tell everything was made from scratch with fresh ingredients. Carolyn went above and beyond for us, we couldn't be more happier with the service and food.
