“I went to the AutoZone on 10th Street in Gilroy looking to purchase an alternator for my 2003 Lexus sedan. The person who assisted me sold me the wrong alternator. It took me days of trying to figure out what was wrong and I finally went back and spoke to the manager Esperanza at this particular autozone. She took out the original core that I had taken in when I purchased the original alternator. She noticed right off that it was not the right one, researched it and made it right. She apologized profusely for the error and for all the time I spent trying to make this wrong alternator work on my lexus. Excellent customer service!! Esperanza, you are an asset to that AutoZone on 10th Street in Gilroy.”

“I was in Gilroy Ca with the wife on a shopping trip. My car dash indicated that my left brake and tail light was inoperable. While the wife shoped, I decided to find some bulbs and fix the lights. Looking at the map of the area, I noticed a Napa about a mile away from my location. I drove over, but I couldn't tell if they were open. I gave them the old bulb, and they went off to get a replacement. In the meantime, the owner and I talked about food, all kind of beans and other southern delicious foods. The bulb showed up and I departed with a warm feeling resulting from the interaction I had with some great folks.”

“These guys are awesome to work with. Had to have my retractable lid resealed as the body shop that repaired my truck didnt reinstall properly. Needed some parts as well. They didn't charge me for any of the parts and the total bill came in at $55 dollars. Super honest folks as, when I dropped the truck off, I didnt even ask what it would cost to fix, I just wanted it done. Best customer service and integrity!”

“Attending person, think name Fayaz, is great person to interact with. He is calm in demure and patiently attending to customer queries.

Services used - oil change
Auto center is on the side, away from the normal shopper traffic and has ample parking around, including enough space at service-entrance to drive in and park in line (if you have appointment).

Auto center might be understaffed since only 1 person was attending (not sure if due to holidays or that's typical) and that too everything (services checkin/checkout, customers trying to buy/inquire auto products - tires/batteries etc., going out to open the locked cages of precious items that Walmart thinks should be locked up :( ) appeared to being handled by 1 person, so there might be wait time, even if one has an appointment (hope they start online check-in for customers with appointments).

From looks of it, think mechanics themselves don't interact (or at least didn't appear to man the terminal when there was a queue forming) with the customers.”
