“Communicative shop, texted me throughout the repair process. Great customer service, friendly, and explained the process step by step. The shop area and office area and parking lot are super clean. They obviously care about their appearance. They gave me a ride over to Enterprise to get my rental car in one of their trucks and the truck was super clean inside. They obviously take care of their equipment. Love to see that! My car was ready on time and was clean when I picked it up.”
“Wow, two words, extremely CUSTOMER ORIENTATED!. I had an overheating issue in my Acura, was able to find a day to come and drop it off in the morning before I went to work, they replaced all the parts and I was able to pick it up the same day after I got off work and they even stayed a little after closing to accommodate a card issue during payment as well as put air in my tires. Arnold and his team are very solid, would definitely recommend.”

“I have used Preferred several times over the past few years; one to detect and repair a transmission sensor issue and most recently to detect and replace an electronic power steering rack and wheel bearings in my 2016 F-150. They are accurate and quick in their diagnostic capabilities and were able to handle the repairs with minimal delay. Excellent top notch shop. Friendly, very knowledgeable and professional. “I recently purchased a 15 year old used vehicle and brought it into Gilroy Auto Repair to get a full inspection/service done. They texted me a quote with every suggested repair, and I got to hand pick what I wanted done. The prices were super competitive and the work was done quickly. I’ve been back twice for oil changes and various maintenance, and they’ve been nothing but premium. They’re kind and don’t speak down to you if you don’t understand what’s wrong with your car. I’d highly suggest at least getting an oil change here to experience the great customer service and quality work!”
“Great service they are open on Sundays where as everyone else was closed. I got two patches on my tire and 4 new lug nuts for sub 100$ very awesome!! highly recommend you go here first even if you have to drive a bit.”

“Jesus is a life saver! Someone on opposite side of road got into an accident and projected a bunch of timber onto our side of the road. The rental drove right over it and a piece of plastic became loose, scraping against the ground. My wife immediately called Jesus and we were able to bring the car in right away. At the shop, Jesus diagnosed the problem within minutes and helped me secure the loose piece of plastic that gave me so much trouble. He noticed the radiator on the rental was also loose and helped me put a temp “Mickey mouse” fix on it so it wouldn’t bounce around. Best I could hope for for a rental. Honest, and full of integrity. My family vacation to Disneyland was saved by Jesus. 5 stars!!”
“This was back in March 2025, but we had a wonderful experience. Tire shredded on the freeway and my daughter and her boyfriend were stuck 2 hours away. The wonderful workers here stayed past closing to fix all the tires for us after some issues with the tow, did so quickly and were amazingly priced. Wish it was closer to home so we could go more often. Highly recommend.”

They didn't charge me for any of the parts and the total bill came in at $55 dollars. Super honest folks as, when I dropped the truck off, I didnt even ask what it would cost to fix, I just wanted it done. Best customer service and integrity!”
