The technician, Ozzy, helping me was honest and thorough right away. He explained that my bumper needed to be properly replaced along with new brackets and a new headlight—something the previous shop failed to address after multiple repair attempts. He also pointed out that the prior shop had used glue on my bumper and even added an unnecessary third screw to the headlight.
This team corrected everything properly and professionally. My bumper is now fully secure, aligned correctly on both sides, and has held up exactly as it should after normal driving.
I really appreciate their honesty, quality work, and professionalism—especially since they had to fix someone else’s mistakes. After a very frustrating experience elsewhere, they gave me peace of mind and restored my confidence. I’m beyond grateful and would highly recommend them!”

“I have used Preferred several times over the past few years; one to detect and repair a transmission sensor issue and most recently to detect and replace an electronic power steering rack and wheel bearings in my 2016 F-150. “I recently purchased a 15 year old used vehicle and brought it into Gilroy Auto Repair to get a full inspection/service done. They texted me a quote with every suggested repair, and I got to hand pick what I wanted done. The prices were super competitive and the work was done quickly. I’ve been back twice for oil changes and various maintenance, and they’ve been nothing but premium. They’re kind and don’t speak down to you if you don’t understand what’s wrong with your car. I’d highly suggest at least getting an oil change here to experience the great customer service and quality work!”
“This was back in March 2025, but we had a wonderful experience. Tire shredded on the freeway and my daughter and her boyfriend were stuck 2 hours away. The wonderful workers here stayed past closing to fix all the tires for us after some issues with the tow, did so quickly and were amazingly priced. Wish it was closer to home so we could go more often. Highly recommend.”

“Wow, two words, extremely CUSTOMER ORIENTATED!. I had an overheating issue in my Acura, was able to find a day to come and drop it off in the morning before I went to work, they replaced all the parts and I was able to pick it up the same day after I got off work and they even stayed a little after closing to accommodate a card issue during payment as well as put air in my tires. Arnold and his team are very solid, would definitely recommend.”

“Everyone here is very professional, helpful, and extremely kind. Erik & his manager - who I didn’t get the name of - stayed about an hour past close working on my car to find the cause of an issue I had with my brake light coming on & off. Originally, we thought it might be due to a recent brake fluid exchange, and they re-did the service to check if that was the issue - and even though it turned out to be the fault of another shop, they did it free of charge. They explained the actual issue thoroughly, topped off my fluid, and even offered to drive along on my way home to make sure I made it there safely. I’d give 10 stars if I could. Great guys and great service.”
