The Hot Box BBQ
16155 Drake Rd, GuernevilleAmazing food at a reasonable price! I stopped by and ordered the original BBQ sandwich and ribs—both were outstanding. The meat was flavorful and tender, the coleslaw was fresh, and the bun was perfect. The ribs were a great size and incredibly tender, and the BBQ sauce on both items was excellent. The man preparing our food (I believe his name was Andre) was very personable and provided excellent service. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Porter-Bass
11750 Mays Canyon Rd, GuernevilleThe absolute best experience. Do yourself a favor and skip all the big name wineries and visit this absolute gem of a place. Had the best time visiting with the owner, Mrs. Sue. So knowledgeable and hospitable. Wish I could have stayed longer. Will definitely be back. Highly recommend.

The Farmhand
15025 River Rd, GuernevilleThe Farmhand in Guerneville isn’t just a café—it’s basically a gourmet hug disguised as a sandwich shop. I ordered a sandwich so stacked it looked like it was training for a strongman competition. I’m pretty sure it was taller than my nephew and had more layers than my last relationship.
The vibe inside is “rustic chic meets cozy cabin,” which means you’ll feel both cooler and hungrier the moment you walk in. The baked goods? Flaky enough to collapse your self-control in 0.2 seconds. The coffee? Strong enough to convince me I could finally start that novel, build a treehouse, AND become mayor of Guerneville all before lunch.
The staff are basically culinary therapists—they hand you food that makes your problems disappear, at least until you run out of sandwich. Then you just order another one, because that’s self-care.
Final verdict: The Farmhand is less a place to eat and more a lifestyle choice. If you leave without crumbs on your shirt and a goofy smile on your face, you probably did it wrong.

Korbel Winery
13250 River Rd, GuernevilleI am absolutely enchanted by the Korbel estate and by their delicious, port, bubbly, and brandy. The deli is delightful, chock full of delightful sweets and savory sides and sandwiches. I wandered in and never wanted to leave. The view! The rich history! Did you know that the train stopped at Korbel in the late 1800’s and early 1900’s? I wish I could jump back in time. The ladies at the tasting room are my new best friends too. I was so cozy by the fire, sipping a rare rouge ? Defnitely don’t skip this wonderland on your visit. If you’re local, be a member!

Guerneville
16355 Main St, GuernevilleQuaint and cozy... fresh and creative light fare. We had the halibut dish and it was terrific. Brussel sprouts were a bit to tart for both our taste but we drizzled the juice off this onto the fish which needed a bit more bite to it and all was perfect! Love the garden in the back that serves the restaurant. I would go again and do recommend. I would give 4.5 if that were an option bc I reserve my five stars for Michelin level amazement, but this is such a small venue and there I so much energy and love put into it that I'm going to lean to 5.

Pat's International
16236 Main St, GuernevilleWe were on the way to visit Armstrong Forest and stopped in here for lunch. We chose Pat’s based on the amazing reviews and it didn’t disappoint. The menu is interesting and after seeing it, we understand the name of the diner. They have an ecelectic mix of nationalities highlighted on their menu. The items we chose, the Salmon BLT and their “KFC” (Korean Fried Chicken) Sandwich were pretty good. Their donut is amazing! The sauce and slaw on the KFC sandwich were incredible, flavors overall were great, but the chicken was just a little too thin. The fries that came with it was incredible! Save room for dessert and get that donut – WOW!
The venue isn’t much to look at, except for the large map of the Russian River on the wall – which is really cool. Otherwise, it’s just a very dimly lit diner style restaurant that seems to have been last updated in the 70’s filled with picnic tables inside. But, it’s comfy enough to enjoy their amazing food, so stop in!
