“Went in this hidden gem as usual for every HMB visit. The sweet lady working was so kind and friendly. My hubby found this 3D butterfly magnet which the lighting in my pic does it a horrible injustice. We also found this ceramic fish which we put in our kittys water bowl and they love it!! There are little odds and ends for our fur babies and for kids and even for adults. A true gift shop. We plan this as one of our HMB stops and prepare to at the least spend $10. It's a must so we highly recommend ❤️”

“If you're looking for the perfect New Year's Day vibe, look no further. We stopped by the San Gregorio General Store on January 1st and it was absolutely the place to be. Live band playing, energy was high, and the whole atmosphere just felt like a celebration.
There's something special about this spot. It's got that old-school general store charm but comes alive with music and community. Everyone was in great spirits, the band was fantastic, and it reminded me why these hidden coastal gems are worth the drive.
Can't wait to come back on another weekend with live music. If you haven't been, make the trip.”

“If you love the hunt for a great book, B Street Books is the place. Even with the move to Burlingame, this is still my go-to for unique and obscure finds. The selection is wonderful and the staff is the perfect mix of expert and hands-off—they let you browse in peace but are there when you need them. It’s a great way to spend an hour, and you’ll inevitably walk out with something special you won't find anywhere else.”

“Harrison was working when I arrived about 20 minutes til closing time, and he was incredibly helpful and friendly! He even kept the shop open about 15 minutes later just to chat about the book shop’s history, recommend books, and discuss other AAPI topics. 10/10 experience!”

“I walked in right after they closed and the volunteer still let me browse for ten minutes ... that was really nice of her honestly, im glad she did that becuase I found a great cookbook for five bucks. Most books are really cheap and they had a decent selection of fiction and some older nonfiction too, though it was a bit cramped near the gardening section. Definately check the back tables, they have bags of children's books for like a dollar each which my niece went crazy over. They also have a section of local history books that they clearly took good care of, bindings are all intact and no mold ... some of them looked almost new. The only thing I would change is the lighting in the back corner by the mystery novels, its a little dim and hard to read the spine titles. Still walked out way happier than I expected for a random wednesday, this place is worth stopping into if youre in the area.”

“I love this place so much i could live in it

This is an edit to a review I’ve already made and I still love this place and I’m writing it because I love this place so much and I almost always have amazing experiences with the staff here they’re so kind but today was a little different and it was someone I had never seen before. It was an older lady and she was just kind of rude to my friend and I it was kind of jarring because I’ve never had an experience like that there. For example, my friend tried to ask her a question and she held her finger up to her. I still love this place and still gets five stars. I just wanted to write a little review because it just doesn’t seem to align with what Barnes & Noble usually is like.

But I love the selection and there’s so many fidget toys and other things that’s an amazing store. I love it and again I could live in it”
