“I needed a little simple help with my sound system in my smart car. I did a quick search while I was down in Burlingame one day and found rock and roll. This guy is super stand up. I had no appointment, I just showed up and he stopped what he was doing and helped me. He solved my problem which was fairly simple in a few minutes and I was on my way. But that said, the real value here is the customer service. With the pandemic destroying businesses like these in large swaths, I was very happy to find this place. Great guy super knowledgeable, and if you have any old cars or hot rods, he's a specialist and electronic wiring in that sort of thing too. I wish I could recommend this place twice. Give him your money you won't go wrong.”

“So the range of opinion here is valid in terms of customer service and selection. It isn't really a typical hardware store. An odd mix of contractor oriented wholesaler and an old school neighborhood hardware store in terms of parts and "hardware".The reason for my high(er) score, is that if I am looking for plumbing/faucet parts, or nuts/bolts/screws, I am more likely to find it here than one of the Ace Hardware stores, or even Home Depot or Lowe's, which really surprises me.”

“Came here for a cup of Extra Large 7-Eleven's own blend of coffee. Really good coffee and i added hazelnut creamer. Super yummylicious. This was at 3:30am on a Friday. 1/20/2023. Not sure why the bad reviews on here. Staff here are superb at what they do. They are awesome!! Super nice and helpful. The guy with the limp is so hard working. He made sure i got the freshest brewed coffee. He told me to pour what i got, in the sink so i can fill it up with fresh brewed coffee. Yes, the store is super small for the amount of items they carry. They try their best in keeping it organized and it is organized. Just a lot of items. At least they are good in keeping things stocked. It looks like a really old building. But it's clean. Lots of parking. Convenient location. Put the cosmetics of the store aside and look at what they have to offer. Good service and good products. You are not going to find hot food here at 3 am due to little foot traffic. I definitely recommend this 7-Eleven in San Mateo.”

“Great service. I got the 2 pizzas for $2 and my friend got a hot dog. Parking is more truckable than it looks. Pizza was decent and my friend did not like the hot dog. What was great about the service was that they gave us napkins without us asking - we sure needed then.”

“My son's iphone had a severely damaged screen. I have TMobile 360 coverage, but since it's under Apple Care, I had to go to Apple for repair. I set an appointment for Best Buy through the Apple website. Best Buy didn't have the parts, so they sent me to the Apple Store. My experience at the Apple Store was smooth. All the employees were super nice and helpful. They took me in as "walk in" and repair took around 90 minutes as promised.There's easy parking in a lot and on the street. Sometimes gets busy, so you might need to circle a little. Next time, I'm going the Apple Store first, if the phone within the first 2 years and it's still covered under Apple Care. No need to go the the carrier for insurance repair.”

We were greeted right away and offered help, but when the person assisting us looked at the iPhone the issue magically disappeared, which was awesome. Highly recommend coming here for great service and awesome store ambience.”

“There's usually a large contingent of people standing out front, and I'm not sure how many of them are waiting for their laundromat tasks to be done and how many of them are just watching people try to navigate one of the goofiest parking lots known to man. If the parking lot is full, which it usually is, I guarantee you will accidentally go the wrong way and end up facing another car head on. It's embarrassing, but probably also fun to watch. The 7/11 itself has standard issue stuff, but also a comically large selection of laundry soap and accessories and inexplicably expensive Red Bull.”

I've bought grocery type items there, purchased home goods, picked up medications for relatives and prescription needs, handled a bit of legal work for their midwestern office many years ago and recall hearing nothing but positive reviews about their many years of service. It is a classically great name.”
