“Monarcas Supermercado is the newest Mexican grocery in this space. the infrastructure has been totally renovated. a larger grocery, produce, dairy, soft drinks, and beer sections are clean, well stacked. there's also some mexican bakes, a coffee/drinks section, a meat counter, and a taqueria take out counter. the taqueria doesn't have it's menu nor proteins availability posted. eats: pastor, lengua, asada tacos (3/$5) -garnish: radish, lime squeeze, onions, cilantro, salsa-doubled grilled tortillas was toasty, fillings were amply-lengua was moist, juicy, pastor was deep fried, asada was dry tasting.*good value, the scoop ready protein section was slightly off, tastewise.one table available for eat in.”

Their prices aren't what I would call bargain friendly, but when you want to grab a bottle at the last minute and don't have a ride, they are great to have around. The owners and staff are all super nice and helpful. They make me feel welcome every time I stop by. “Buying dumplings like this is a bit of a new experience for me as I have historically gone to a grocery place and bought some frozen ones there.. but these I was really impressed with. The quality and plump, juiciness of the dumplings is so delicious that I don't think I can go back to my old ways again. I really enjoyed their mini pork and shrimp, pork, chives dumplings. I am pretty sensitive to porkiness if the protein isn't great but here there is none of that, something that made me wanting one more dumpling after one more. Really recommend and love how easy it is to drop in and pick up a bag. Cash only more or less”

“Love this little local spot for both the market and carnicerÃa. I can pick up carne asada steak, chicken, marinaded taco meat, ribs and much more from the butcher. The grocery market is good too because you can also buy bread, canned goods, tortillas etc... it's basically a little local market. The people working the cash register and at the butcher are always very nice.”

“The most recent owners are really awesome, not to say the last family that owned it weren't, they were awesome to, but the current owner is the right type of dude to own a liquor store right by campus and he's a family man in a good way that shows going in there. It's the closest liquor store to East Bay and the only one at that tier of the hidden beauty of that is the Hayward Hills I grew up in and love so dearly if not because my alma mater or the decades I lived up there, then because of places like this tucked into a beautiful stand of eucalyptus and redwoods with high quality and reasonably priced beer, all the munchies snacks you could want and whatever tobacco products the state isn't making illegal. Prices are not different from the 711 down highland, but the area is a lot better and the family is the type you want to do business with. Liquor selection is also decent and they have an aisle for wine. None of which is my thing but grabbing stuff for family when over that way, the prices and selection are hard to beat. Highly recommended.”

“This store is very clean & neat. Very easy to get too from the mission. If there's something they aren't in stock of just ask an associate they are very helpful. I always have the nicest cashiers and fast services as well. Soon as the line started another associate was on another register. I always find what I came for and more. But save even more which is a plus for a single parent household feeding a child these days. My top favorite store in hayward.”
