“Was in the area and in the mood for a sandwich. Decided to give them a try after finding them on Yelp. Glad I did, food looks like the pictures and tastes as good. Service and food was excellent. I saw a sign in the window saying they have been open since the fifties. I can see why. I got the turkey/avocado/bacon with pepperjack cheese on Dutch crunch roll. Their sandwiches are massive and reasonably priced. Will be back! (Have already been back once)”

“Really great selection of foods in such a small store. Generally smaller grocers are more expensive (understandably) but this store manages to have really reasonable prices. The produce is generally very good though it sometimes looks a little dated. The staff are friendly and helpful.”

“This place is only for a business that has a smoke shop, liquor store, supermarket gas stations. They have different items for your store to sell to your customer and make money. They are a very organized warehouse. It has a vast parking lot. Very organized and very clean. They have excellent customer service. They have a ten-piece cashier at the same time. they are They have an expansive parking lot with a security service so he can bring the stuff, says Siri, inside, and you can choose whatever you like in your store. Here is a one-stop shopping center for your store, and most are reasonably priced. They have ice cream. They have T-shirt. They have cigarette they, and they have Tobacco”

“I have only been here twice. Purchased once. I remember when they first opened I came to check it out. It was pretty well stocked then. I went there last week and it was stocked well with a lot of beers consisting of a good variety! I did not have time to look at the mixers for the hard liquor but they seem like they had a good variety of hard liquor as well. They have a pretty good selection of microbrews I've never heard of before. The owners are very nice! I would definitely come back again! And their prices are very reasonable. I would recommend this place! I do need to dive a little deeper into looking at their inventory. But so far I like what they're doing!”

“I am very glad to have this convenient market/taqueria in the neighborhood. Not always good for a large grocery run but they have a lot of the basics and nice tacos, nachos, burritos, etc. My only complaint would be the grandpa type figure who always sits by the door. Everyone else is very friendly but he never even smiles whenever I try to say hi. It's just uncomfortable having to see him each time being an unhappy looking grump.”

“Himalayan FoodMart is where Bancroft Foodmart once was. store still being stocked. new sign not up yet. india groceries are stocked in far right corner. produce coming soon. with 2 new indian eateries opening in san leandro and one in hayward, not surprising to see an indian grocery too. brew: Alameda Island Brew,,"Sea Haggis Scout Ale", 24 oz. 8% alc.(6.65 total, better than bevmo.) -nice smooth brew with some buzz -Alameda Island has come a long way since it's early pale ale days. -not many craft beers, none priced. just the usual sticker specials. Hamalayan Foodmart is on it's way to becoming a go to destination for unique brews, foods, mexican ices...”

“They have a pretty great selection of sugary breakfast cereals, hardly any organic section except olive oils. They have almond milk most of the times I've been there. This company is a meat market deli, and there is a Mexican foods restaurant at location inside store too. Love this! Parking lot departing is sort of strange or awkward to leave in certain directions.”

“I like that I have no idea how most of the ingredients manifest themselves into Mexican meal. There's a meat and fish counter and some lunch bites to go. I come here for limes vegetables and the occasional toothbrush. A little bit if everything. They are polite”

“Small to mid sized, asian grocery store located in a shopping plaza on the west side of San Leandro. Parking lot gets surprisingly busy and crowded. Store is tidy, bright, and organized well inside. Selection is moderate for produce and meats. They have a hot food counter for bbq and roasted meats (pork belly, soy chicken, roast duck etc) too. Prices seem reasonable and comparable to other asian grocery stores like New Sang Chong, 99 Ranch etc. Their seafood/fish counter has a nice large numbered menu with listed varieties of how you can have your fish prepared and wrapped for you (i.e. scaled, filet, etc) and they also can deep fry fish here. Was in the area to pick up dim sum next door at DT Dim Sum so it was convenient to grab a few additional items for my Sunday brunch at home.”

“I have no clue why this place was marked as closed because I just came here last week. It has a good variety of mostly snacks and drinks and everyone is friendly. The prices are also pretty reasonable as well. I would totally come again next time I pass by.”

“A hidden jewel. I wouldn't have known it was there, if it wasn't for Facebook. It is a well stocked little store and produce. It has so many different types of Mexican candies and snacks in wholesale and retail quantities. Vast variety of products too much to list. We need to support small struggling local businesses.”

“This is some og place that only grannies know where to get some bang for their buck. I only know cos my nanny brings her mom here to shop :D There is barely any service here unless you're an equally cranky elderly who has sass or a frequent customer. This is more of a wholesale place that sells bulk restaurant goods like plastic utensils, take out containers, baking aluminum supplies, old school plastic round washing tubs and chairs in primary school colors (iykyk), bulk baking soda and other seasonings/condiments, Chinese cooking sauces and oil in large gallon tin cans or jugs, lotus seed paste in bulk, dry soup herbs, and old school snacks like garden coconut cookie rings, sesame candies, plastic snack tubs of star sugar biscuits. There's some regular size commonly used Chinese sauces, aroy-d coconut milk $1.59 that usually sells for $1.99-2.29 elsewhere. Also saw Prima Taste brand laksa paste in bulk bag for $15!! that'll be good for at least 5 meals but it says use within 3 days. Definitely more for restaurant use or a large event. There's also veggies in a stand format at the front but not a lot of choices like your regular Asian supermarket. Four stars for cheaper prices but you're gonna have to navigate on your own in the narrow aisles which is open to the public but not really meant to be customer oriented. Probably not English speaking either fyi. They have frozen produce too but idk they look questionable in terms of how long they've been sitting there. Most of them are in these ice cream like chest freezers vs the usual store large open door freezers in supermarkets. There's only 3 or 4 parking spots near the entrance. Otherwise street parking which isn't difficult but may need a shopping cart or some help carrying in case you end up buying a lot.”

“I can never make jjajjangmyun (black bean noodles) the way you get when you order delivery in Korea. But Kim's noodles and sauce is legit and reasonably priced. Their spinach noodles are so good. I used to get them from Hankook market but now K Market has it, so I don't have to go as far (and better parking/traffic).”
