“The nicest people in town own this business. They are so helpful and kind. I have had a mailbox here for at least 10 years. Even when I moved out the area I still kept my box here because of the customer service. When I moved back to town I was glad I kept it because the word was out that this is the place to do business. I absolutely adore Tim and Marry Tess. Now their children work there too and they are the sweetest. The apple did not fall far from the tree. “I needed a document notarized and overnited to a title company in Washington. I found the closest UPS store in the Richmond Marina area and called. Voice mail. You know it's not going to get answered when they ask you to leave the date and time you called. Surprise, they never called me back. Instead, I headed over to see them in person. No notary there and they were not sure when she would be there. Great. From the parking lot, I called the UPS store off San Pablo. They answered and were ready to help. In about 10 minutes, I pulled up in front. Fantastic service. Very fun to talk to and would do business with them again in a heartbeat.”

“I don't usually comment on places but I experienced my first male Karen moment. It was thrilling. So thrilling that I fumbled with my phone and only caught the last part as he did his walk of shame out of the door as everyone was left in silence. This man clomped up to the counter and the woman working, Phoung, kindly greeted him and asked him what he needed. The man cut her off and said, I DONT NEED YOU TO ASK ME ANYTHING. I DON'T NEED STAMPS. I JUST NEED YOU TO DO WHAT I ASK YOU TO!! He spoke to her like they were in the middle of a heated argument. This woman, mind you, had her scale to weigh packages malfunction, her computer decided that it didn't want to work anymore and had to restart it working ALL BY HERSELF on a Friday around lunchtime. She really wanted to do a good job so she managed to work it out while the line grew. If anyone reading this were spoken to the way he did you would've had to use all your God given strength not to go nuclear, hop over that counter and made him eat those words. I was on the side ready to say something but Phoung had it covered. She responded in kind with the addition of respect saying, I just asked what you needed so there wouldn't be any misunderstandings!! Then SHE apologized for the miscommunication for reasons unknown. Be kind people or you might just run into someone who will give it right back to you. Thanks Phoung!”

“The manager and staff at the store went above and beyond to help us with a same-day urgent printing for the wake of a dear friend of mine. We had tried to get it done with four other printing stores in Berkeley and North Oakland prior to going to the Berkeley gourmet ghetto UPS location, and none of them were able and/or willing to help. There were some technological challenges both getting the file to the store’s computers, and in terms of the specs for the printing, and the manager and staff took all the necessary time and found creative solutions to work them all out. It made a huge difference to my friend’s family to have the beautiful booklet to be able to treasure, and to pass out at the wake itself.”
