“My first time going to Grocery Outlet. I liked that the store had so many different aisles of items. The pricing was definitely a lot less than your regular box stores. I was told by a friend that they offer discounted items for items that were closer to expiration, but I found that the items still had 2-3 years of shelf life! I was overwhelmed by how much they offered, so it took me a bit of time to sift through the store, but I like that they offer so much. They have produce, frozen items, seasoning, dry goods, toiletries, kitchen tools and more. I loved that everything was at a discounted price, so you don't feel as bad for buying certain things. I did not go in with a shopping list since I was just exploring, but the next time I go, I plan on going with a list of items that I need missing in my pantries or just some everyday items. I liked that everything was brightly colored with signs and the pricing was neatly shown, so you know what price you're paying for all the different items. The employees were very helpful in pointing me to certain products in the aisles. You could truly get lost just looking at the many things that they have!”

Their skirt and flank steak with chimichurri sauce is also amazing! I usually pair it with their kale salad, Brussels sprouts, couscous salad, and/or sesame noodles. “I've been to this Walmart many times during my lunch break and haven't had to wait too long to checkout - thanks to the self checkout line. Since this location is a Supercenter, it's more stocked than your average Walmart, which offers a wide selection of choices. I like that there's a grocery attached to this one, which allows me to check many items off my grocery list. I sometimes like to check out the clearance aisle, which they put off-season products marked down at super low prices. I once bought an advent calendar of dog treats for just $1, which was still good for another year.I like that the customer service line goes by pretty quickly. The manager who is on shift during lunch hour knows when to step in if the line becomes too long. Parking is very easy here since it's located in a big shopping area.”

“Truthfully I know it's not always a good experience going to a Walmart store. Today I had one of the best experiences at this Walmart store. So I was shopping for a Christmas tree for my brother and his family who are living in a homeless shelter and recently fell in hard times. Bring as that I'm in between jobs I only had so much money to work with which isn't much. I asked a Walmart associate which way to the Christmas trees and he went out of his way to take me there personally. I told him my budget and the trees they had left were out of my budget. We looked for a bit and he asked me if I didn't mind who was the tree for. I usually don't open up to just any body and I felt like I could with him. I told him my brother and his family's situation and he immediately told me, say no more on behalf of Walmart I'd like to buy this tree for your brother. He then told me he's the manager and that he's been blessed to work at this Walmart and it's only right to bless others. Man it hit me pretty hard. You only see this stuff on social media. Well Marco I'd like to thank you brother and the other employees who helped my brother with this Christmas tree and toys for the kids. Man you guys are awesome. The Cincinnati-based supermarket giant will open about 110 new stores in fast-growing markets by 2029 and introduce three updated store formats, executives told investors Oct. 20 at the company’s Investor Update in New York. Kroger already runs about 2,700 stores in 35 states. The formats come in three sizes, a bit like small, medium and large, matched to each market. Mary Ellen Adcock, Kroger’s executive vice president and chief merchant and marketing officer, walked through the lineup.
Walmart shoppers want a head start on the holidays, and money explains a lot of it. Some 44% of respondents call affording the holidays their top stressor, and 61% say holiday costs shape their shopping mood. Asked what would make the season easier, 70% picked lower prices and 57% picked more deals and promotions. Convenience ranks lower: 30% want one-stop shopping across categories, and 20% want faster delivery.
Walmart wants your groceries at the door before the ice cream softens. On May 29, the retailer said its 30-minute-or-less delivery had reached 33 U.S. markets, adding a wave of new cities across the Northeast. Shoppers in those areas can order from more than 100,000 items, everything from fresh produce and baby formula to pet food, electronics, cold medicine, and prescriptions. Behind the scenes, the service leans on Walmart's store network and an algorithm that factors in order size, available drivers, and distance from the store.
Trader Joe's keeps adding stores, and shoppers keep showing up. The California grocer has marked nine more locations as "opening soon," pushing its expansion into new corners of the country. The grocer also took first place in the American Customer Satisfaction Index's 2026 supermarket rankings. It has held a spot near the top of that list for years.
Target is rolling out its most ambitious store overhaul in more than ten years, with plans to remodel over 130 locations and open 30 new stores across the country this year. The retailer is also putting money into supply chain technology upgrades to keep pace with how shoppers buy today.
