“This is a great little thrift store located across from Lafayette Park. There is a large variety of clothing, including men's clothing. There are lots of toys for kids of all ages.I went there looking for a choker necklace. However, I found a beautiful bracelet and lightweight animal print shawl. They have lots of helpful volunteers. The profits go to local charities. --”

“I'm not one to leave reviews, but this place should get noticed! Found an awesome deal on a used mannequin here. The owner, Judi, has a fun personality and is really knowledgeable and helpful in finding what you're looking for. A good selection of mannequins to choose from. These were actual real store mannequins and you can't beat the price. Don't buy one from Amazon. Well worth a trip to her Oakland warehouse to pick one out. I would definitely go back. Thank You!”
“Many hidden gems here. Get there early, so much to see and all proceeds support the Oakland museum of California. You do need to really take your time though. So plan for a half a day at least. No junk, great finds.”
“I loooove the store , I always find whatever I need ,the personal is very nice and kind , stuff is very affordable, I have several pets and I always find good stuff for them here . ??”
“My favorite Hospice Thrift Shoppe! Everything is so neatly organized and the staff is friendly. They have a huge selection of clothes, furniture, and so many more.”
“Love this store! This location is further from my home compared to the Danville and Alamo shops but they have more clothes. Great selection, quality, and prices! Worth the drive for me.”
“Great help from the staff. I needed a walker for my Mom but didn't see any until I asked. Debra showed me where there were and helped me pick the right kind. She understood what I was going through with my Mom and made getting the walker enjoyable. A few minutes of compassion made my day since sometimes you feel alone when it comes to caring for your sick parents. Thank you for your support Debra. This place is fantastic I always receive excellent service from everyone and I appreciate all the volunteers”
“Great small-medium size nonprofit store, clean and well-kept with polite and friendly staff (volunteers). Good organization with almost all good quality / gently used pieces. (Always nice when stores do quality control.) If you like books, make sure to check out their art books, cookbooks, kids books etc. Best bets today were women’s clothing & accessories.”
“AMAZING. They have so many good finds vintage, new, and y2k. You definitely have to hunt but it's worth it. They have cute little carts you can push around which are convenient. I got like 20 things for $60 which was a steal. Very good color tag deals and low low prices. Apparently you can coupon online for more savings! HIGHLY RECOMMEND FOR BACK TO SCHOOL SHOPPING ETC.”
“Always some fun new rotating items! Makes me feel like I’m at the able sisters shop from animal crossing with their displays changing. The staff/volunteers are friendly and make good conversation. Decently priced home goods too!”
“(Translated by Google) Very nice place with a good base to help children and adolescents.(Original)Muy bonito lugar a parte buena basa para ayudar a los niños y adolescentes.”
“Great place to shop. Whenever I'm looking for something special, I go to the discovery store in Oakland. I am always pleased and amazed at the selection! Check it out!”

“Children’s resale boutique with a thrift store feel. Reasonable prices, they have a good rotation, every time I go in I find something. A great place to trade your kid’s clothes for the next size up or donate stuff you won’t use. A great asset to the community with friendly owner. It feels good finding second hand goodies here.”
“The American Cancer society Discovery Shop in Walnut Creek is the cleanest most well-maintained and curated thrift boutique I have ever been in. The items are high quality desirable and price to sell. The manager does an amazing job with the visuals and displays and Donna, the sales associate is absolutely delightful. She is very knowledgeable and helpful, I always make a point of stopping here whenever I'm in the Walnut Creek area. Also, don't forget to sign into the loyalty program every time. It is the most generous loyalty program that I have ever enrolled in!”
“This location has the nicest staff! They are always helpful and welcome you with a smile. It's also very clean and you can tell they keep things organized. Always great deals to find here. A gem!”
“We were driving by and decided to stop by here. There's a small parking but there is a lot of street parking. This store is really clean and was fully stocked. There were a lot of new items. I noticed the store was well organized so it's easy to find things. The book section was really good highly recommend. The people who worked here were really nice. Overall had a great experience.”
“This is the best place to donate. It's a good cause and the volunteers keep the shop clean and maintain a good vibe. They are starting to price a bit high. Some things are higher priced than new in the store. Other than price they get a 5”
“This is a very cool place for the community. There is a plethora of random freebies outside, and inside is a curated shop of hidden vintage treasures and beautiful plants for sale. I love the concept of both inside and out! Outside you have to dig and that is so fun, and I especially like finding bits and bobs for my many art projects. Inside I have found beautiful plants and some really nice decor at a reasonable price. I always enjoy chatting with the owner and she will give you good tips on how to care for your plant.”
“The store was clean and organized. The merchandise were clean and in good shape. I especially loved their book section. It was very organized and easy to browse as they were alphabetized by the author's last name. The team members were friendly and helpful.”
“I have been donating items there since they opened. Community concern for cats is a county wide effort to help as many kitties in need. I want to give to this location again and again because I love cats and they need to be cared for and loved and found good homes for. Thank you guys for always being there. I’ve moved away, but I’ll always come back.”
“cute items for home clothes and accessories. priced well! i may come shop and donate
here! proceeds go to
women in shelters. great mission and vision and style!”
“I have been to this Goodwill countless times over the last 6 weeks to drop off items. The very first time I was greeted by Delvon who was helpful, friendly and working hard. I had the pleasure of seeing Delvon often who was continually welcoming. Over the course of my drop offs I was also assisted by Rashon and one of the managers, Dot. There were many other workers who were equally as efficient and welcoming. I highly recommend this goodwill store to anyone needing to drop off items. They are organized, helpful and a pleasure to see! Thank you to a great team!”
“Donating my clothes is easy, and I always find something to take home with me. Compared to your more typical chain thrift store, I appreciate how well layed-out the store is. Items are organized by size and color, racks aren't overpacked, and backround music is quiet. It makes for a much more pleasant experience. I also enjoy that they always have tag sales on their items that have been around a bit longer, as it ensures you can always find a good deal!”
“I've read most of the reviews here and want to offer a new facet in the way most of the reviews are critiquing the volunteers. Had anyone considered that the unhappy grumpy volunteers could be program recoverers? These women could be survivors of trauma and they get hope while working there. We really do not know what someone has been through. Maybe we need to look at their giftings, etc. And compliment them with our smiles and generous words of encouragement, or a fun joke, etc. Take a risk to cheer, uplift and leave sparkle. I had a career in retail and most customers expect you to be their therapist, wailing wall, servant, or doormat. Our first world problems are so small compared to other places, aren't they? Chin up, cheerio and sparkle for someone else who may need it. :-D”
“Lovely little shop that’s crammed full of wonderful old (mostly) things! They were very friendly and helpful, when asked; otherwise, I was left to browse peacefully…which I did for a very long time. There’s a lot to see!
I felt that some prices were a bit high, but overall reasonable and fair for the market. And I did buy lots of things: jewelry, beaded necklaces, and some antique sterling silver.
I will definitely be returning!”
