“I went in looking for a simple, but sturdy plastic board to support the end of a cage that was an inch longer than the end of the counter. Sam made sure I chose the right kind of plastic (I didn't know there was even a difference) to survive what this board would be exposed to (bleach, cleansers). Well, the board is perfect and thank you, Sam, for suggesting one corner be rounded. I could not think of anything I would have done differently. It's perfect.”
“Customer service is #1! Finally moving out of the city and somehow attaining a backyard, my hunt for a new grill led me to Jackson’s as they are one of the few distributors of the brand I was interested in. From the moment I spoke to an associate on the phone, I knew I was working with qualified and passionate people. Chris was super knowledgeable and validated (as well as expanded) much of the prior research I had done online. Not pushy, yet professional and (again) passionate. My timing was fortunate as it lined up closely with their big annual sale. Since it was shaping up to be a larger purchase, they scheduled an early sale private shopping session for me before the official sale started. Chris made the extra effort to be there during my shopping session and continued to be a huge help. I look forward to having Jackson’s as my go-to hardware store. If you value customer service, you should make them yours as well.”
“I love this place! Ok, I love hardware stores. It's got just about everything you'll need (no it's NOT home despot, which has its place in the annuals of hardware stores.) They have a lovely garden section with great help, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable (Ask for Peter.) They always have great seasonal selections as well as vegetable starter plants. Plus they always have good holiday decorations and inspiration. Their crew is a bit eccentric, which I think is a plus!”

“Needed some applewood pellets for my smoker. I called, they told me they stored the pellets away for the season but happy to check to see if they had the applewood. They did and brought up a bag from storage and had it at the counter for me when I came to pick it up. Needed it because I'm making homemade bacon”
“Great place to pick up Benjamin Moore paints. I order online and pick it up to avoid wait times (which aren’t that long but I always end up leaving with things I didn’t intend on buying ?). Great customer service and they do occasional sales! Grateful this is my neighborhood hardware store.”

“I have always received excellent customer service from Ace Hardware in Marin. Yesterday I was greeted with the comment, “May I help you?” And the service provided could not have been fully anticipated. John Troller went to the source; that is, the instruction manual of a new faucet available on the shelf. Three of us at home had worked on this faucet trying to fix it. John was able to fix it quickly, efficiently. I am very appreciative of his assistance. Now I do not have to call a plumber. The whole experience was actually enjoyable for me. Another fine Ace visit.”

“They have everything you might need for property/ apartment repairs.
I have come here to find pieces of lumber. They are great at cutting lumber to the requested measurements.
The workers are always polite and helpful when it comes to pointing you in the right direction. There is commercial parking right in the front for easy loading. They also have a warehouse right across the street which contains more lumber.
Great location and a helpful place to go to if you are in the city.”

“the other day i went to goodman's to get some parts to fix a wheelchair handle. i could not fix it with the parts i bought and asked for help. one of the staff took it back there and fixed it, including a spring that i had missing, for nothing but the cost of the spring. we have got to treasure our treasures like goodman. five star”
“The quality and workmanship is tops. With in 6 weeks we had two new sliding doors and six windows installed. Including permit the price point was very fair and the windows look great.”
“I've been coming here to this location for the past 7 years. A few years ago the customer service wasnt great, downright super frustrating 3 years ago at the customers returns and online purchase pickup/returns desk; because the employees were a bit disinterested and unmotivated. In the past 2 years theres a notable improvement on the customer service at checkout area and at the returns desk. Employees are more attentive and better trained.
+++Theres a great employee, name unknown, running the tool aisle #15, he was working on fathers day early morning - kudos to him for being knowledgeable, interested and diligent in helping me find ryobi tools.
+++Stephon in the parking lot is excellent! He goes above and beyond in wrangling dolleys/carts and working hard to help customers load and unload materials. Stephon, withoout solicitation, noticed my brother Ioading 20ft pieces of lumber and literally jogged over to help him out. A+!
There could be a few more employees in the store aisles helpimg customers, and another floater employee on the returns desk when the line gets above 4 people waitimg in line.
