“Hotel is better than blue lake for sure. Winning at the casino not as good as blue lake and I used to curse blue lake and praise Bear River . Definitely flip flopped on casino. Food is good . Service is outstanding.Rooms: Great , clean rooms.Safety: Totally safe”

“There isn't enough words to say on how much I loved this place. The lady met me and helped me with my luggage to the 2nd floor. Super quiet and homey with fireplaces going. The rooms are amazing. She said I was able to look at any rooms with the doors open and they were so cool unique! So big and nice. My room was so cute and the bed had a stool to get into the bed. They are so high and comfy. I can't tell you enough about how comfortable the beds are. Slippers and robes for you to use. And clean! So clean! Big bathroom. 4-6 is free apps and wine and water. It was so nice . She had it all set up and so beautiful and I sat by the fireplace drinking wine and eating apps. And you can for 2 hours! And lots of appetizers to choose from. Finger foods but couldn't be more perfect. Ferndale is a very small town. One strip of shops and restaurants and one saloon bar. The mansion is walking distance to the strip. Perfect location. All the cable channels you need and I had the best sleep. I can't say enough how homey it is for it being so huge with so many rooms. For breakfast that is included it's all set up in another room with pre set menus . I am dairy free only and saw the menu and thought oh well I will pick and choose what I can eat. She walked up and said I saw your note on the reservation I made you an entire dairy free breakfast with blueberry muffin, eggs with vegan butter , potatoes, bacon etc. I couldn't believe how nice that was that I gave her a tip which I know wasn't required. But it was the sweetest thing. This is well worth seeing and staying . I spent one night at the casino across the river and one night here for a more restful night . Perfect weekend!”

“We had a wonderful quiet night in a beautiful room. We enjoyed chatting with the friendly owners over breakfast. They even filled up our coffee thermos with no extra charge! It's so nice that this historic inn is being lovingly cared for. Easy to walk the historic main street with all its charming shops from this inn. Thanks!!!”

“The comfort inn & suites and Fortuna California is one of the better hotels I've ever been to not only for myself but for my kids as well. They have tablets in the rooms so the kids can watch something or play on those and you don't have to watch cartoons all night lol. The service is great as well I have not met one helper that was rude or gave me attitude and I use to go there 3 times a month for 2 days at a time for about 7 years. So check them out plus they have a little snack room(that cost $) that's open 24/7 and then the breakfast which is free of course. I highly recommend them”

“I had a kickback at the Social Club. There is an indoor bar, outside grilling. Purchase salmon, shrimp, hamburgers, hotdogs, oysters, charcoal, lighters from the bar to grill outside. Hawaiian Food truck had been on location. You can bring your dog and children. There is space to rent for private parties. It's an over all good time for friends and family. There are also rooms to rent. Real vintage feel.”
