The young lady who answered the phone (unusual name), was upbeat, and extremely helpful, smart and kind. Centinela F&P didn't have the product I needed and she was great in suggesting other sources when asked. Good and caring customer service is so rare these days and she gave great suggestions on how to solve my problem. This young lady, provided she keeps it up, will go far! Thanks for hiring such a person at Centinela Feed and Pet supplies. She made me think well of this business and I will shop here in the future.

Los AngelesNothing could ever prepare me for the day I lost my soul pet. Hearts & Halos supported us immediately because of how quickly my baby’s health declined. I am crying as I write this because of the kindness and patience they showed me on the hardest day of my life. Overland Veterinary Clinic
3465 Overland Ave, Los AngelesI go out of my way to travel to Overland Vet Clinic for my dog's healthcare because of their care and competence. I have seen several different vets and all have been attentive and thorough. It's not a corporate-held entity, which is becoming rare these days.

Cahuenga Veterinary Hospital
825 N Cahuenga Blvd, Los AngelesUnfortunately, this was not a good experience. We arrived on time for the appointment and were taken back to the treatment room, but then were not seen, while other pets were seen. When I checked back in with the front desk, they appeared to not know who we were, when our appointment was, or when or if we would be seen. Bad all around.
UPDATE: This issue was promptly--and graciously--resolved with a follow up appointment the following day and free exam. It is refreshing for a veterinary practice to acknowledge and address a concern so quickly and directly. We will be returning.

Brentwood Pet Clinic: Carvalho Kimberly DVM
11718 W Olympic Blvd, Los AngelesI've been going to VCA Brentwood Animal Hospital since I moved to LA, 25 years ago. Everything about the operation is first-rate, but the REAL reason I've been so loyal, despite moving further away from the Olympic Blvd. offices, is Dr. Carvalho!! She's a terrific vet - gets to the point, doesn't shy away from bad news, doesn't look for it, either! Neither complacent nor alarmist, Dr. Carvalho has navigated me through all kinds of crises and near crises with a number of beloved dogs and cats. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

BeWell Animal Hospital
275 S Atlantic Blvd Unit B, Los AngelesI’m extremely happy with the care my cats, Eva and Julian, receive at this veterinary clinic. I take them here for all their treatments, including vaccinations and their sterilization procedures, and everything has always gone wonderfully. They recovered very quickly and were treated with so much care.
Everyone at the clinic is transparent, knowledgeable, and genuinely kind—from the reception staff to the doctors. The veterinarians are gentle, caring, and very attentive with the animals, and they always take the time to explain everything clearly. Their prices are fair and straightforward, with no surprises.
I truly recommend this clinic 100%. I’m very grateful and feel very confident bringing my pets here.

Pet Sitting & Training

Happy Heart Pet Care
1730 Camino Palmero St, Los AngelesI cannot put into words how happy I am with Happy heart. Not only because my boys, two younger miniature schnauzers, had a great time and came back, tired and excited and full of life. But because I had a horrible experience at another pet hotel, so I’ve been incredibly trepidation about leaving them with anyone.
From the moment I spoke to Anna Marie I was taken in by her energy and passion. When she met my boys They acted like they had met her before and she was an old friend. She is incredibly communicative, professional, and kind.
If you were looking for training or boarding or any service that they offer, I cannot recommend them enough as there are certain people who are born to do what they do And we are also so lucky that she has services here in West Hollywood.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for taking my fear away and for creating a safe place for my boys to play and learn.
The two photos are of them right when they came home from being with her.

K-9 KATS PET SITTING
9854 National Blvd #1140, Los AngelesI can’t say enough good things about Charlotte! I hired her through K-9 Kats for cat sitting and Kitty Shrink for behavior support while I was away, and she was absolutely wonderful. I have two very “spicy” kittens who can be a real challenge, and I was honestly amazed by the progress I saw. They became noticeably more affectionate and there was a lot less hissing by the time I got home.
What I especially loved were the detailed messages and photos Charlotte sent after each visit — it made me feel completely at ease while I was away and kept me connected to what was happening at home. She was kind, professional, and truly a pleasure.
I’d highly recommend her to anyone looking for not only reliable pet sitting, but also real results with behavior support. My kittens and I are so grateful!

Traci and her team know all of the dogs, their personalities , quirks and what makes them happy. My dogs can't wait to go there and their sleepovers are the best. I called Urban Dog and explained my dog's demeanor and play style and they were confident they could meet Dobby where she's at. Kim, who is the oh-so-knowledgeable owner/dog trainer ran the temperament test which I was able to watch on the webcam. She went slow and took things at Dobby's pace. Over the past few visits, my girl has become more and more confident. She runs circles around those dogs for hours!! The staff is always very attentive and kind. Couldn't recommend this place more!

Pet-Friendly Restaurants

Azai Hand Roll Sushi
8036 W 3rd St, Los Angeles5 stars for the delicious and high quality sushi. plus i have a gluten allergy and the chef/ server was super considerate and knew exactly what needed to be modified. my favorites were the bluefin tuna nigiri and the yellowtail hand roll (with soy paper), and i don’t typically like yellowtail.
however, i did not realize there was a 16% service fee included in the bill. it says so on the menu so that’s my oversight but at kazu nori, for example, the server tells you not to tip because of the service fee. so on the little screen i tipped 20% on top of the 16% service fee and tax. it’s my bad for not paying closer attention but they don’t verbally tell you either.

ecco un poco | Natural Italian Gelato
8318 W 3rd St, Los AngelesLast time I went I had the fior de latte, pistachio, hazelnut flavors which are absolutely amazing. They have so many interesting seasonal flavors like tiramisu, peach, truffle, and even rhubarb. Its amazing the amount of international presence in the ice cream. All natural ingredients, nothing artificial, everything tastes so organic, smooth, and exactly like the base flavor. And the owners are so charming and hard working. However, it is VERY expensive for ice cream, id go back everyday if 3 scoops and waffle cone wasnt almost 20 bucks. I understand it is because everything is to the highest standard and super amazing quality, unfortunately the price is just very high. So all in all, amazing treat, amazing place, with high price tag.

Pet Pride Cat Shelter
3350 S Robertson Blvd, Los AngelesA lot of 1 star reviews act angry because you have to pay a fee during in-takes. They're a private rescue who can't cover all the vet or health related costs themselves. If you think up to $2,500 is expensive, imagine taking in several cats. Most other rescues who cover that cost are full. I have seen several high quality rescues either charge roughly this amount for take-ins. Those will do a 2 week quarantine for vet visits before intriducing to the whole cat group. I implore readers to do their research before hunting for a pet or for a rescue to drop off a stray.

K911 ResQ
8726 S Sepulveda Blvd, Los AngelesThis rescue does nothing but good in this world! The rescue injured doggies and the pay for surgeries and treatments where others would have walked away. I can't thank the people of K911 ResQ enough for what they do. They rescued Vito, a paralyzed pup, got him physical therapy and now he's been able to move a little more than he used to. God bless you!

Santé D'Or
3165 Los Feliz Blvd, Los AngelesI volunteer here, and I can say that this shelter truly does outstanding work. The staff is highly attentive to each cat's individual temperament and medical needs, both in the shelter and foster. The space and crates are frequently cleaned, and the cats are all doted on. At the point I am ready to adopt, I will be going with Santé D'Or.

Vanderpump Dogs
8134 W 3rd St, Los AngelesI am finally coming around to writing a review about my absolutely perfect bachelorette party at Vanderpump Dogs.
I was looking for an alternative bachelorette activity that didn't involving partying or drinking and wanted to do some sort of group volunteering. Vanderpump Dogs happily welcomed myself and my friends on this special day. Emmy was incredibly kind and Chad was lovely to work with. Both Emmy and Chad were attentive and taught us all about the importance of dog rescuing. We spent the day playing with the dogs on the roof and in the pens and lots of puppy love.
Vanderpump Dogs is a gorgeous facility and the dogs receive the top quality care. They are a 501(c)(3) organization. I will keep them in mind for gifts in the future as a portion of the funds go back into the organization. I highly recommend for anyone to adopt, foster, donate and volunteer here. It is a gem of a place and can't wait to go back and visit. Thank you to the wonderful staff and volunteers here - you are all super stars.

They gave me enough info to make an informed decision and a voucher to get her fixed once we spent time together. 6 days later my dog and the new baby have formed a playful bond. Thank you Fur Baby Rescue. We gladly paid the $feea to support dawn and their work in south central.
