Good and caring customer service is so rare these days and she gave great suggestions on how to solve my problem. This young lady, provided she keeps it up, will go far! Hearts and Halos
Los AngelesWe lost our precious 13-year-old girl, Sheena Marie, two weeks ago. Our amazing vet handled her final moments with us, and Hearts & Halos took care of her individual aquamation and ashes from there. We got her back this week and I am completely blown away by the care that went into everything. The handmade biodegradable paper urn with her name on a little wooden heart, the engraved paw print keepsake, the plantable seed paper hearts, and her beautiful certificate. Every single detail was thoughtful and gorgeous. We don't have a yard just yet, but when we do, we'll bury her urn and let her ashes nourish the earth. Her soul is already out in the universe, and someday she'll help grow something beautiful too. For now, she's back in her favorite corner of the house, right where she belongs. If you're facing this heartbreak and looking for a service that truly honors your pet, Hearts & Halos is it. Thank you for treating our girl with so much love and dignity.

Cahuenga Veterinary Hospital
825 N Cahuenga Blvd, Los AngelesUnfortunately, this was not a good experience. We arrived on time for the appointment and were taken back to the treatment room, but then were not seen, while other pets were seen. When I checked back in with the front desk, they appeared to not know who we were, when our appointment was, or when or if we would be seen. Bad all around.
UPDATE: This issue was promptly--and graciously--resolved with a follow up appointment the following day and free exam. It is refreshing for a veterinary practice to acknowledge and address a concern so quickly and directly. We will be returning.

Brentwood Pet Clinic: Carvalho Kimberly DVM
11718 W Olympic Blvd, Los AngelesI've been going to VCA Brentwood Animal Hospital since I moved to LA, 25 years ago. Everything about the operation is first-rate, but the REAL reason I've been so loyal, despite moving further away from the Olympic Blvd. offices, is Dr. Carvalho!! She's a terrific vet - gets to the point, doesn't shy away from bad news, doesn't look for it, either! Neither complacent nor alarmist, Dr. Carvalho has navigated me through all kinds of crises and near crises with a number of beloved dogs and cats. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

BeWell Animal Hospital
275 S Atlantic Blvd Unit B, Los AngelesI’m extremely happy with the care my cats, Eva and Julian, receive at this veterinary clinic. I take them here for all their treatments, including vaccinations and their sterilization procedures, and everything has always gone wonderfully. They recovered very quickly and were treated with so much care.
Everyone at the clinic is transparent, knowledgeable, and genuinely kind—from the reception staff to the doctors. The veterinarians are gentle, caring, and very attentive with the animals, and they always take the time to explain everything clearly. Their prices are fair and straightforward, with no surprises.
I truly recommend this clinic 100%. I’m very grateful and feel very confident bringing my pets here.

Home Pet Doctor
1905 Wilcox Ave Unit 133, Los AngelesI can’t recommend Dr. Steve enough.
My cats were dealing with severe vomiting and diarrhea, and because they’re diabetic, it was a high-risk situation. I was trying to manage it myself for weeks and even tried an online vet—no real help. I didn’t want to stress them further by taking them into a clinic, so I looked into at-home vets and found Dr. Steve.
I emailed him early Sunday morning, he responded within hours, and was at my home the very next day.
He examined all three cats, handled them calmly, got bloodwork done, and most importantly—got them the exact medications they needed, fast. He approved my Chewy order within hours (something that usually takes days), and also introduced me to Mixlab, where I was able to get medications in forms that actually work for my cats (like injections instead of pills).
The turnaround was incredible—orders approved and shipped almost immediately.
Dr. Steve is direct, efficient, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. No pressure, no unnecessary add-ons—just solid care.
His pricing was also very fair. I expected to pay much more and was pleasantly surprised.
If you have cats—especially ones that get stressed at the vet—this is 100% the way to go.
I’ll definitely be using him again.

Pet Sitting & Training

The Wags Club
11860 Mississippi Ave, Los AngelesThis place truly feels like a second home for my pack. I’m so grateful for the loving and caring staff, who not only look after my dogs but also make me feel welcome. Though I may not be as sunny and cheerful as my pups, seeing them interact with some of the kindest and most patient people has really deepened my trust in this wonderful dog care facility. It gives me peace of mind that’s hard to find anywhere else. Finding a place that can handle my dogs' size and their need to stay together has always been a challenge, but here, they get plenty of exercise, and I love getting cute updates on Instagram. They even take care of their meals and make sure they're cozy at night with blankets and pillows. The traffic can be a bit tricky, but it’s so worth it knowing my gentle pups are happy, safe, and lovingly cared for during daycare or overnight stays.

Happy Heart Pet Care
1730 Camino Palmero St, Los AngelesI cannot put into words how happy I am with Happy heart. Not only because my boys, two younger miniature schnauzers, had a great time and came back, tired and excited and full of life. But because I had a horrible experience at another pet hotel, so I’ve been incredibly trepidation about leaving them with anyone.
From the moment I spoke to Anna Marie I was taken in by her energy and passion. When she met my boys They acted like they had met her before and she was an old friend. She is incredibly communicative, professional, and kind.
If you were looking for training or boarding or any service that they offer, I cannot recommend them enough as there are certain people who are born to do what they do And we are also so lucky that she has services here in West Hollywood.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for taking my fear away and for creating a safe place for my boys to play and learn.
The two photos are of them right when they came home from being with her.

K-9 KATS PET SITTING
9854 National Blvd #1140, Los AngelesI can’t say enough good things about Charlotte! I hired her through K-9 Kats for cat sitting and Kitty Shrink for behavior support while I was away, and she was absolutely wonderful. I have two very “spicy” kittens who can be a real challenge, and I was honestly amazed by the progress I saw. They became noticeably more affectionate and there was a lot less hissing by the time I got home.
What I especially loved were the detailed messages and photos Charlotte sent after each visit — it made me feel completely at ease while I was away and kept me connected to what was happening at home. She was kind, professional, and truly a pleasure.
I’d highly recommend her to anyone looking for not only reliable pet sitting, but also real results with behavior support. My kittens and I are so grateful!

Puparazzi
1933 Pontius Ave, Los AngelesSo incredibly sad that this facility is closing! We brought our 4 month old puppy here for 20 nights while we were getting married. We were SO apprehensive with his age about boarding him somewhere, but did not have any choice. Puparazzi went above & beyond from the minute we first contacted them to the minute we picked our little guy up. They communicated to us when he was running out of food so that we could order more, watched out for him in play time and at night, and went above and beyond to spend time with him since he was so little. The cameras and daily report cards were such a nice touch. We will miss this facility so so much!

Azai Hand Roll Sushi
8036 W 3rd St, Los Angeles5 stars for the delicious and high quality sushi. plus i have a gluten allergy and the chef/ server was super considerate and knew exactly what needed to be modified. my favorites were the bluefin tuna nigiri and the yellowtail hand roll (with soy paper), and i don’t typically like yellowtail.
however, i did not realize there was a 16% service fee included in the bill. it says so on the menu so that’s my oversight but at kazu nori, for example, the server tells you not to tip because of the service fee. so on the little screen i tipped 20% on top of the 16% service fee and tax. it’s my bad for not paying closer attention but they don’t verbally tell you either.

3165 Los Feliz Blvd, Los AngelesWhat an amazing place and amazing group of people. My husband and I adopted two kitten brothers that were rescued by Sante Dor when they were tiny babies. They were bottle fed and raised by their foster parent Jody with love, care, and experience. And being first time cat parents, our coordinator Morgan really held our hands through out the whole process, she is always SO patient, helpful, and knowledgeable with all-cat-related things!! We also got help from Heather and Amy, when we thought one of our boys got seriously sick (when it turned out that he just ate too fast and got nauseous…..silly boy) and brought him in, the ladies were real pros handling him and checking him out. They calmly and pleasantly comforted us and eased our nerves. I really can’t express how much we appreciate them all. On the way back, my husband was urging me to write a nice review, so here I am, and we almost never leave a review for anything! Anyways, WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND SANTE DOR TO ANYONE WHO’S LOOKING TO ADOPT.

Bluff Creek Dog Park
12604 Bluff Creek Dr, Los AngelesBluff Creek Dog Park is one of the better dog parks around. The entire park is turf, there are water station, and there’s plenty of space for dogs to run and get their energy out. They also have separate areas for big dogs and small dogs, which makes things a lot easier and safer.
There are shaded areas if your dog needs a break from the sun, and street parking is free and usually pretty easy to find. It can get busy depending on the time of day, but overall it’s a great spot for dogs to run, play, and socialize.

K911 ResQ
6201 W 87th St #1541, Los AngelesThis is the best dog rescue I have ever known. They really care about every animal they find and get homes for. There are many that are all about the money they get for adopting out an animal but not K911 ResQ. You can tell they only do it for the live of the animals.

Perfect Pet Rescue
10737 Venice Blvd., Los AngelesSo lucky for this rescue to have Rene as part of this amazing cause. I can imagine she has years of experience in rescuing thousands of dogs and she has been along the way with us through every single process step when adopting our lite Truffle.
I can not thank this shelter enough for their hard work, diligence and help. I only hope for them to continue with these projects for years.
Thank you Perfect Pet Rescue, but primarily thank you Rene.

Vanderpump Dogs
8134 W 3rd St, Los AngelesI am finally coming around to writing a review about my absolutely perfect bachelorette party at Vanderpump Dogs.
I was looking for an alternative bachelorette activity that didn't involving partying or drinking and wanted to do some sort of group volunteering. Vanderpump Dogs happily welcomed myself and my friends on this special day. Emmy was incredibly kind and Chad was lovely to work with. Both Emmy and Chad were attentive and taught us all about the importance of dog rescuing. We spent the day playing with the dogs on the roof and in the pens and lots of puppy love.
Vanderpump Dogs is a gorgeous facility and the dogs receive the top quality care. They are a 501(c)(3) organization. I will keep them in mind for gifts in the future as a portion of the funds go back into the organization. I highly recommend for anyone to adopt, foster, donate and volunteer here. It is a gem of a place and can't wait to go back and visit. Thank you to the wonderful staff and volunteers here - you are all super stars.

Fur Baby Rescue
3030 S Hill St, Los AngelesI usually read reviews before I shop anywhere, but this time it just didn’t cross my mind. And to be honest, after reading some of the negative reviews 2+ years ago it may have changed my decision to go through here had I read them first, but fortunately that wasn’t the case.
We had a great experience. We would’ve never guessed our amazing French Bulldog would be here waiting for us because the place is pretty easy to miss. I found the listing for our dog online through “Adopt a pet” and contacted the number listed. Dawn was very communicative and responded back very quickly to my questions. We scheduled a meet and greet and within minutes of meeting him knew he was for us. She gave me his records from his previous owner & adoption fee was incredibly reasonable considering how much this color and breed go for.
