The customer service is always top notch. We’ve never had anything but a fantastic experience here. Depending on what and how much you buy, they have frequent buyer programs.
I gather from another review that some people think it’s fine to let your toddler run around a store and grab at living animals, but that’s just questionable parenting. I can totally understand how the staff would maybe be a bit frustrated by this parental oversight. It’s a business, not your play place.

6063 Melrose Ave, Los AngelesI honestly cannot thank Esme enough. I had two surgeries and for about two months I physically couldn’t move or lift, so my dog’s grooming unfortunately fell behind. I felt terrible bringing her in like that, but Esme handled everything with so much compassion and zero judgment.
The transformation speaks for itself. My dog went from matted and uncomfortable to looking absolutely beautiful, clean, and happy again. You can tell Esme truly cares, not just about how the dogs look, but how they feel.
We bring both of our dogs to her, our 13-year-old and our 1-year-old, and she always knows exactly what each of them needs. She adjusts her approach, takes her time, and treats them like her own. That level of attention and understanding is rare.
Esme is not just talented, she is kind, patient, and genuinely compassionate. I truly couldn’t ask for a better or more caring person to trust with my dogs. If you’re looking for someone who will go above and beyond, this is it.

The owner comes to every pets first appointment as an extra check on your pet to ensure things go well. I learned our cat was actually a short hair cat and grooming not recommended for now and to try a leave in conditioner which worked great. It saved money, got the job done and our cat is happy. It's hard to find businesses today that do the right thing over the quick sale, this one does.

Most importantly, they are very patient and gentle with each pet. My dog is quite finicky and anxious and they have always taken the time and care to make sure he stays safe and calm, I even once heard them singing to him to reassure him during a nail clipping, I recommend them to all my friends and will never take my dog elsewhere.
George is also so friendly and has taken the time on multiple occasions to recommend products to me (which were all great recs), always explains exactly what they can do and what my dog needs, and is just generally a really guy. He clearly cares about each animal and wants them to have the best experience possible.
I trust George and his team with my dog completely and that peace of mind means the world to me! Photos attached of his most recent cut, but they do a great job with nails, teeth, and everything else.

- Appointments: Make sure to call ahead to make an appointment or book one yourself online. At this time, they seem to have a shorter wait time for short coats that just need a bath/no trim versus a longer wait time for appointments with pups needing hair cuts. I'm usually able to get an appointment within a few days from when I call.
- Parking: They're located in a little shopping Plaza and have a shared parking lot with the other stores. They have 1 or 2 parking spots reserved for them right in front of their store.
- Personal experience: The owners and front-staff have always been wonderful towards us and our pups. I know they treat my doberman well because he walks into their salon happy and not afraid/hesitant. They were not intimidated by my pups sizes and were friendly/respectful when greeting my dogs. They usually call me between 1.5-2.5 hours later that he's ready for pick-up. Even though my dog is short haired, they do shed a lot. When we still had our senior dog, she was also sensitive to getting her feet touched (not aggressive, she was just really squirmy) and they were very patient with her grooming. They do a fantastic job at deshedding and doing their nails. When we pick our pup up, they are happy and don't show any signs of fear, which makes me happy to know they were treated with care. We definitely plan to continue coming back!

Los AngelesWe lost our precious 13-year-old girl, Sheena Marie, two weeks ago. Our amazing vet handled her final moments with us, and Hearts & Halos took care of her individual aquamation and ashes from there. We got her back this week and I am completely blown away by the care that went into everything. The handmade biodegradable paper urn with her name on a little wooden heart, the engraved paw print keepsake, the plantable seed paper hearts, and her beautiful certificate. Every single detail was thoughtful and gorgeous. We don't have a yard just yet, but when we do, we'll bury her urn and let her ashes nourish the earth. Her soul is already out in the universe, and someday she'll help grow something beautiful too. For now, she's back in her favorite corner of the house, right where she belongs. 825 North Cahuenga Boulevard, Los AngelesI’ve only truly loved two veterinary hospitals in my life, and Cahuenga Veterinary Hospital is one of them.
When our newly adopted kitten was diagnosed with FIP, we were devastated. The team at CVH guided us through one of the most stressful experiences we’ve had as pet owners. They carefully managed the necessary testing, medications, and expenses with both professionalism and compassion. Thanks to their excellent care, our kitten is now nearly two years old and has remained in FIP remission ever since.
Beyond their medical expertise, their communication, scheduling, and genuine empathy are exceptional. Every interaction has made us feel like our pets—and our concerns—truly matter.
Most recently, we accidentally showed up on the wrong day for an appointment. Even though the mistake was completely ours, the staff still went out of their way to try to accommodate us. That level of kindness and customer service is rare.
I also want to mention that we used Fetch Pet Insurance during our kitten’s FIP treatment, and it was invaluable in helping cover the significant costs of care. While that’s separate from the hospital itself, it made an incredibly difficult situation much more manageable.
I recommend Cahuenga Veterinary Hospital without hesitation. If you’re looking for a veterinary team that combines outstanding medical care with genuine compassion, this is the place.

It sometimes gets extremely busy and I marvel how the receptionist manages to answer the seemingly never-ending phone calls, schedule appointments, greet pet owners, assign rooms, wipe up dog messes, and magically stays organized, friendly, and efficient. I would be overwhelmed to be honest. Yes, it gets extremely busy sometimes and you have to stay on hold for a while when you are on the phone, but I’ve seen her in action in the office a lot of times and am amazed how she handles everything.

My adopted dog Ash came with multiple health issues, the most problematic being GI (stomach upset, diarrhea) and hip dysplasia problems from a previous surgery. Ash had issues with diarrhea and vomiting and I could not find a vet who could help. Dr. Steve was able to get the situation under control. After he solved the initial problem, there was another complication. Dr Steve solved that problem too! His staff is efficient, helpful, and fun.

My cats were dealing with severe vomiting and diarrhea, and because they’re diabetic, it was a high-risk situation. I was trying to manage it myself for weeks and even tried an online vet—no real help. I didn’t want to stress them further by taking them into a clinic, so I looked into at-home vets and found Dr. Steve.
I emailed him early Sunday morning, he responded within hours, and was at my home the very next day.
He examined all three cats, handled them calmly, got bloodwork done, and most importantly—got them the exact medications they needed, fast. He approved my Chewy order within hours (something that usually takes days), and also introduced me to Mixlab, where I was able to get medications in forms that actually work for my cats (like injections instead of pills).
The turnaround was incredible—orders approved and shipped almost immediately.
Dr. Steve is direct, efficient, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. No pressure, no unnecessary add-ons—just solid care.
His pricing was also very fair. I expected to pay much more and was pleasantly surprised.
If you have cats—especially ones that get stressed at the vet—this is 100% the way to go.
I’ll definitely be using him again.

Olympic Pet Hospital

My dog was misdiagnosed on a Saturday with pancreatitis at a national veterinary chain company, with that vet insisting she needed to be hospitalized for 3 to 4 days, minimum cost $5000. I love my dog dearly, but she is quite elderly, has major spinal issues and dementia problems, and she needs to constantly be with me or she stresses. Putting her in hospital would break her. That vet acted as if I were a horrible human. Worse, though that vet prescribed pain medication for her, he didn’t give his required vet code. Since it was a controlled substance, the pharmacy wouldn’t give it to me. So though he went on about how intense her pain was, he made it impossible for her to get the pain reliever he insisted she needed! Thank goodness Olympic Pet Hospital was recommended to me: They got me in at 10 AM on a Monday holiday! Dr. Lucia Kwon was kind and diligent. She truly listened to me. Not only did she prescribe an effective non-controlled substance but she made sure it would help with my dog’s spinal and nerve pain. When she discovered I had given a friend’s cat subcutaneous IV daily, she assured me I could do the same for my dog if her condition deteriorated and she needed help with fluids. That way, I wouldn’t have to hospitalize her if things got worse. I cannot speak more highly of this woman — knowledgable, thoughtful, gentle with my baby and reassuring to me. My dog was better in 1.5 days under her treatment protocol. I just wish I would have gone to her on Saturday; that would have saved me the $40O I wasted at the substandard national chain. And my dog wouldn’t have suffered for two days. I would give this clinic and vet 10 out of 5 stars if I could.

The ASPCA Los Angeles Spay/Neuter Clinic

A few days later, the surgical site became inflamed. I took him to a veterinary hospital near my home, but I was quoted around $2,000 for treatment. Unfortunately, I simply couldn’t afford that, so I brought him back to the clinic where the surgery was originally performed.
Although appointments are required, scheduling one over the phone was quick and easy. I didn’t have to wait long, and the staff helped me get everything arranged smoothly.
I’m about to leave my dog in their care again, and I’m hoping everything goes well. Thank you in advance for taking care of him. 🙏

I asked Dr Vasquez if the incision was going to be large on my female because my dog had gained weight and was pretty rotund and I was worried that she would have a ten inch incision like my last dog. He immediately answered: “the incision will be appropriate for the surgery”. A very smart answer!
The incision ended up being really small, like less than two inches in my 35 lb dog. The office is modern and bright, exceptionally clean, and the team there is courteous, excellent and the office is efficiently run. Had to wait for check in and pick up but had an interesting time chatting with the other clients and their pets.

1101 E 14th St, Los AngelesI cannot recommend Riley’s Doggy Daycare enough! My shy rescue started going here last year, and the transformation has been incredible. When we first started, he was terrified of people and extremely timid around other dogs. Thanks to the incredible patience and care from the team at Riley’s, he is now a much more confident pup.
It’s reached the point where he actually gets a little 'pep in his step' the moment he realizes we’re heading to daycare! He absolutely loves the staff—he especially goes crazy for Isabel—and he’s even made a few regular friends to sunbathe with.
Aside from the amazing socialization, the facility itself is super clean and always smells really nice. I love that the pups get a nice wipe-down before coming home so they stay fresh!
The service here is truly above and beyond. One time when I was sick, I texted the staff and they were kind enough to bring my pup right out to me so I didn't have to go inside. They have the best hours and prices in town, and their special events (like the Halloween contests) are so much fun. The entire staff is attentive, kind, and genuinely invested in every dog. If you have a nervous or shy pup, this is the place to go!

Since we travel quite a bit, we went looking for a sitter in the area and found K-9, and we've been with them since. Honestly, having them from the start made settling in so much easier. Our cats adore the entire team, which says a lot, and we know they're in good hands every time we leave. The team is always super responsive and flexible, and we just couldn't imagine better sitters to take care of our cats. Highly recommend.

Though I may not be as sunny and cheerful as my pups, seeing them interact with some of the kindest and most patient people has really deepened my trust in this wonderful dog care facility. It gives me peace of mind that’s hard to find anywhere else. Finding a place that can handle my dogs' size and their need to stay together has always been a challenge, but here, they get plenty of exercise, and I love getting cute updates on Instagram. They even take care of their meals and make sure they're cozy at night with blankets and pillows. The traffic can be a bit tricky, but it’s so worth it knowing my gentle pups are happy, safe, and lovingly cared for during daycare or overnight stays.

The Aloo Tikki was crispy and perfectly spiced, the Chana Chalupa was a fun twist, and the Noormahal Lasagna was something I haven't seen anywhere else. The Veggie Fun came out at exactly the spice level I asked for, and they were happy to swap in garlic naan. Everything was well cooked and the flavors felt genuinely authentic, which is hard to find in LA.
The service really stood out too. The staff was warm, attentive and super sweet the whole night. You can tell they care about their guests. Highly recommend Roots Indian Bistro, and I'll definitely be back.

This place is absolutely amazing and definitely a must-try if you’re in the area. Even if you’re not, it’s worth the trip. Everything we tried was delicious, and the espresso drinks were delightful— not too sweet, just the right balance.
We’ve actually been back three times since our first visit, and the experience has been amazing every time. The staff is super friendly and helpful, which makes the experience even better.
The location might surprise you. This gem is tucked away in a somewhat random location, with no real storefront, in a small downtown-style corridor. The seating area is next door, which is also a little unexpected, but it’s very cute and nicely done.
The food has bold, explosive flavors and is truly something different. Everything we’ve tried has been delicious and memorable.
Even though I live about 45 minutes away, I’ll definitely be coming back with friends and family. This is one of those places I’m happy to make the drive for.

The people at their Los Angeles location, and at the St. Bonnie's animal sanctuary in Canyon Country (Santa Clarita) are some of the most caring, understanding, animal loving people I have ever had the pleasure to meet.
I am so grateful to them for their assistance in getting mine & my boyfriends 2 dogs spayed and our cat neutered. The cost at the veterinary clinics in the Los Angeles and San Bernardino Counties are astronomical, and their support for pet owners in these areas is above and beyond what most programs are able to assist with.
The Lange Foundation truly cares about animals as do the people that work and volunteer there!! If I could, they would get a 100 star review! The entire park is turf, there are water station, and there’s plenty of space for dogs to run and get their energy out. They also have separate areas for big dogs and small dogs, which makes things a lot easier and safer.
There are shaded areas if your dog needs a break from the sun, and street parking is free and usually pretty easy to find. It can get busy depending on the time of day, but overall it’s a great spot for dogs to run, play, and socialize.

They were bottle fed and raised by their foster parent Jody with love, care, and experience. And being first time cat parents, our coordinator Morgan really held our hands through out the whole process, she is always SO patient, helpful, and knowledgeable with all-cat-related things!! We also got help from Heather and Amy, when we thought one of our boys got seriously sick (when it turned out that he just ate too fast and got nauseous…..silly boy) and brought him in, the ladies were real pros handling him and checking him out. They calmly and pleasantly comforted us and eased our nerves. I really can’t express how much we appreciate them all. On the way back, my husband was urging me to write a nice review, so here I am, and we almost never leave a review for anything! Anyways, WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND SANTE DOR TO ANYONE WHO’S LOOKING TO ADOPT.

I was looking for an alternative bachelorette activity that didn't involving partying or drinking and wanted to do some sort of group volunteering. Vanderpump Dogs happily welcomed myself and my friends on this special day. Emmy was incredibly kind and Chad was lovely to work with. Both Emmy and Chad were attentive and taught us all about the importance of dog rescuing. We spent the day playing with the dogs on the roof and in the pens and lots of puppy love.
Vanderpump Dogs is a gorgeous facility and the dogs receive the top quality care. They are a 501(c)(3) organization. I will keep them in mind for gifts in the future as a portion of the funds go back into the organization. I highly recommend for anyone to adopt, foster, donate and volunteer here. It is a gem of a place and can't wait to go back and visit. Thank you to the wonderful staff and volunteers here - you are all super stars.

Westside German Shepherd Rescue of Los Angeles
3016 South Hill Street, Los AngelesReally nice and amazing rescue. I got my female German shepherd many years ago and she is just wonderful: very beautiful and sweet, great with small dogs, super friendly with people she knows and kids.
I highly recommend this rescue because they truly work with you to help you find what you want. Some people criticize them for doing an in depth assessment but it’s normal since these dogs already experienced difficulties and now want to be part of loving home that won’t bring them back again. I personally think they are doing a great job, as opposed to breeders, who place dogs anywhere as long as the owner pays.
They have some many pure bred dogs that are absolutely stunning. I honestly haven’t seen nicer dogs anywhere else. I highly recommend looking on the website and write down names of dogs you want to meet or just have an idea of what you want.
Definitely to go place for a new family member addition ❤

And to be honest, after reading some of the negative reviews 2+ years ago it may have changed my decision to go through here had I read them first, but fortunately that wasn’t the case.
We had a great experience. We would’ve never guessed our amazing French Bulldog would be here waiting for us because the place is pretty easy to miss. I found the listing for our dog online through “Adopt a pet” and contacted the number listed. Dawn was very communicative and responded back very quickly to my questions. We scheduled a meet and greet and within minutes of meeting him knew he was for us. She gave me his records from his previous owner & adoption fee was incredibly reasonable considering how much this color and breed go for.
