“I have two separate experiences with Young’s Auto Repair that were very positive and for so long I drive in Los Angeles I will go to him and recommend Young’s Auto Repair for fixing and what not.
Experience one: my car had a service error that said that gas fumes were leaking from my gas tank. A smog issue. I had initially went to a different auto repair that with their smog diagnostic tool said they’d need my car for over night and it would cost 200+ but they didn’t have space and to come back.
I went to Young’s Auto Repair where John assessed the situation and said I need not any sort of fixing and that the smog issue was most likely from not screwing on my gas cap on tight enough. This was all within five minutes. Although the other mechanic may have come to this conclusion upon further examination, his failure to do so initially makes him inferior to Young’s Auto Repair.
The second is more recent. My splash guard was bent and scratching the floor when I was braking. I initially just wanted to get that clipped back onto my car but John said I needed to also replace my brakes and rotors (I haven’t touched my brakes in 100k miles ?) so I knew there was no upselling involved. He did all three services in a professional and timely manner and I was able to go to work after. He also recommended I order my own parts for some other issues I had and to come back in to get them fixed.
Overall each experience I have had has been very positive and has someone who is not car experienced it’s a relief to go somewhere where I am not getting scammed. There is integrity I can sense in John.”

“Being in a car accident is VERY stressful, especially when it's just me as a single woman with no help, who doesn't know sh** about a car and what needs to be done to fix it. All I knew was I had to move my car off the street parking until I could get it fixed, and I had to move into my studio (which is why I do not have the funds to fix my car right now due to an uninsured motorist hitting me). So I got a storage parking spot so I could leave my car safely parked until I can get it fixed (the front end bumper etc. )I searched on Yelp for a trustworthy tow company that had good reviews so I could make sure I would not have been taken advantage of with pricing.I came across Compas Gruas, I read the reviews, and I actually reached out to a few places I saw. I called Campas Gruas and from the moment the lady answered the phone, she was very helpful, patient with me, and gave me a very good deal and made sure that my car would be able to be towed, she advised we needed the flatbed tow truck. I knew from speaking to her that was definitely going to be the company I dealt with.I got the money a few days later (today) and called them back, and they even remembered me!! I texted him the address where it needed to be towed and a picture of my car so he could be aware of what was going to be towed. He gave me such a good price, and he took care of my car with care. He even advised me that we could swing by an auto shop to get a quick quote, which we did and now I even know exactly what needs to be replaced/fixed. He even reminded me that even though at times, times are hard, no matter what God has got my back, he even made me cry, it meant so much everything he did for me and to even care. I can go on for days typing the good things, but I will leave it as this... If I ever need a tow they will be the only tow company I call, and I highly recommend that anyone that needs a tow truck to call Compas Gruas, not only because they can tow your car, but because they actually care. “They did a great job, I called them.on Sunday and they picked up the phone rightaway and even though my towing wasn't urgent they were there within an hour with a flat bed, helped to navigate a parking lot with alot of parked cars and recover my car that was damaged. Overall can highly recommend.”

“June 2025: Had a tire blow out near the shop, newer cars have no spares and no jacks. Used another car to drive over, the shop loaned me a jack and a tire iron/4 way, went back to my car, jacked up and removed the wheel. Took the wheel back to the shop, the shop had a similar tread depth used tire, mounted, installed, returned the tools. The whole ordeal from tire blow out to back on the road was just shy of an hour, which was amazing as we had a flight to catch and if we needed a tow to a dealer or different tire shop I don't see how we could have caught the flight. The guys here worked with me to give me the means to make this happen.”
