“A small mom and pop store with a variety of snacks and foods from the Balkans (many popular snacks and items from Croatia and Bosnia). I was able to find a Milka chocolate bar with fruit and nuts (very hard to find in the U.S.) Also picked up a box of Bosnian lokum (biscuits that pair with coffee). The shop owner is very friendly and also gave me a free sample of Balconi Mix Max chocolate cake with coconut cream--thank you!”

“Our go to Ethiopian supermarket for all of our needs! Injera is good, got Ambo mineral water, also all sorts of spices and condiments etc… they also have some snacks like sambusa (not samosa!) I find them to be different!, ambasha, baklava, dabo kolo… the list goes on!”

“This is such an amazing part of the Lawrence Station community! I love having a grocery store within walking distance and this Nob Hill is so pleasant and safe. The workers here are delightful and so helpful whenever you have issues. They recently upgraded the checkout machines too. I love the monthly raffles they have set up and it's so cute they let kids have free fruit. Never once have I had a negative experience in the last four years I've been frequenting this Nob Hill. And they have a filtered water fountain if you need to refill your water bottle on the go! Lots to love about this Nob Hill.”

“I stop by here at least twice a week before work, right at 5AM-5:10AM. They're always open on time and the employees are all busy at work. Some have their airpods on and keep to themselves and you can tell which ones are the social ones just talking about random stuff. The employees are very diverse and the age gap is pretty big. They're always stocking up in every department and keeping everything clean and organized. Of course during the morning there's plenty of parking but I still imagine even during the rush hour Rivermark Plaza still has plenty of parking. It's shared with a ton of businesses so it can accommodate that. One little hiccup is when I went to buy a couple quest bars the cashier immediately said we don't have enough cash for cashback. I didn't want any cash but it didn't really matter. Just caught me off guard. There's also a Wells Fargo just a stone throw away anyways. Overall very clean, bigger than normal selection and everything is organized. Props to the Director and Managers.”

“I was at hole foods just to return a item I had bought from Amazon. Was fast in and out in just a few minutes. That just had to scan the bar code Amazon sent me. But it was a super clean store. Even had a nice place to order food for like lunch maybe Dinner. Thought I seen a guy sitting there eating and had a Cold Beer. Nice!!”
“They have a bread slicer! Every Safeway needs one. It definitely helps if you are portioning your meals or just want sliced fricken bread, you know what I mean?? High five whoever chose to invest in one, you deserve a raise!”

“Amazon lockers are conveniently located at this Safeway. It's hidden on the side closest to the donuts and bagels. With all the porch thefts happening in our neighborhoods, I think it's best to be on the safe side. Placed my order on Sunday and picked up my order here yesterday with no issues. Then, went grocery shopping right after. It's a win-win!”

“The inflation has caused the fresh bake bread up from 99c to $2.99 in couple years. But they also make it smaller or less solid (more holes inside) when I compared it with the other stores in other county.”

“Good prices honestly and way better than Safeway. The herbs are 40 cents to $1.25 while in Safeway it’s around $1.89-$1.99. Really saves me money. I don’t recommend ordering and picking up in here if you’re in a hurry because mine took around 20minutes from the moment I arrived and called about 3 times just for them to come and give me my order. Not sure if that’s typical or there was just really a mistake on their part that took them so long since it’s my first time trying this store for order and pick up. The woman who handed my order was nice and apologized though, so it’s fine. I’ll definitely shop at smart and final again coz the prices are worth it.”

“The place is great the decoration for ramadan is beautifull the product is awesome the staff is amazing and nice and its an amazing store and amazing food spot my one complaint is how expensive the food is for how much you get. Very little meat for a steep price”
