“Jatinder was very helpful and efficient when we came for our passport appointment. She even caught an error for me on my form so I have her to thank for saving me from a lot of future stress and issues. The kindness and patience here goes a long way - thank you!

I've been trying to call this location but can't reach an agent. I left a large pink water bottle there with animal stickers on it. Please save for me and I will come pick up ASAP. Thank you!”

“Gotta drop this review after my visit.

Their hours are updated so don’t worry about what others said in their review.

I’ve been here twice and served by different staff member. They are SUPER FRIENDLY compare to so many locations I have been to. Enjoy coming here everytime. There’s generally no wait in the morning.”

“Tony, What an energetic person he is! Extremely calm, patient, and deeply attentive with customers. I have never experienced this type of outstanding service before—he handles the entire business so smoothly, almost single-handedly. USPS truly needs more people like him to achieve even greater milestones.”

“feels like it’s stuck in the past — think government throwback vibes lol
But the customer service is very much in the present, and clearly aiming to do its best for the future
Overall, an outdated edifice with genuinely good staff.”

“These postal workers take so much abuse from customers, but they always help people to the best of their ability! Every time I've had some complicated question or didn't know how to mail something, they've helped me out. I come to this location for all my USPS needs.”

“I mistakenly went to the wrong USPS. The staff was friendly and helpful in telling me which postal office location was for my address. Thank you so much for your hard work postal workers!”

“This is one of the main locations in San Jose and they’re most definitely a one stop shop. There’s a bunch of booths for fast service (just don’t show up right before closing) and they stay open later than most other USPS. They have a Dropbox for packages and mail during after hours. Lastly there’s a Passport Office located on the side of the building, just be aware of some potential homeless people with RVs. Not trying to bash them I’ve never had a bad encounter but just a heads up!”

“I dropped off an important letter for certified mail and they ended up losing it. However the manager was apologetic and told me that they were truly sorry and they try to hit the 100% percent mark and that they would refund me for it. Which they ended up doing! The service was great and he came out right away and even investigated what happened. The service was quick for sending out a letter! It cost almost $5 for certified mail.”

“My package said delivered but I didn’t receive it so I filled out an online form from usps site. My local post office investigated and called me within 1-2 days. Turns out the address was not to me. Seller’s mistake or on purpose? But thank you post office for looking into it.”

“This post office has been a lifesaver for me since it's open all day on Saturdays—the only time I’m able to go.

So far, every staff member I’ve interacted with has been incredibly kind and professional. Really appreciate their service and extended hours!”

“A small convenient post office if you're a student, the man behind the counter is always very nice and helpful. It seems they only have one person staffed here, but if you need to drop something off quick or pick up stamps it's a great spot.”

“I found my experience here nothing less than 110% given to solve the problems I was experiencing. They even tracked down a package that was marked 'return to sender ' for me in a matter of 16 hours and had it waiting for me at 9am. A great group of people doing their job top notch ! Thank you again !!”

“Good for pkg drop off. This is NOT a postal service office-it’s a post “office” which is different than United Postal Service* (USPS). So if you already have it packaged, and labeled correctly, it’s a good drop off location especially because they’re open late most days. Later than USPS”

“We visited this facility for our child’s passport. It was super quick and easy.

Pro tips:
1. *Do not* visit without an appointment.
2. Carry all documents with you to make the process quick & easy.
3. Document list: DS-11 original filled (do not sign), birth certificate original + photo copy, both parents passport + photocopy, child photo, carry a check for application fee payment (credit/debit card works too) & finally a credit/debit card for usps acceptance fee payment.
4. Regarding child photo, prefer to take it at home (using your phone) on a white sheet and then get it printed at Staples/etc.”

“Went to this post office recently to mail a package and was so grateful for the staff member I was helped by (thanks Jessica!). The previous day I tried to make sense of my options using the website but only ended up more confused at the number of options and price points. Thankfully, despite not being sure about which mailing option I wanted to go with, the staff member was kind enough to walk me through the options that made the most sense for my situation. She was super knowledgeable and understanding of my needs/helping me make a final decision. She even recommended I take a picture of everything being mailed so I would have a confirmation of sorts in addition to the tracking number. When I went it was quite busy but the 2 members on staff were efficient allowing for the line to progress quickly and for everyone to get on with the rest of their day.”

“I was here for the passport. If you did some research you know all locations nearby are taking sign ins at 6am. That's unavoidable for walk-ins. Online booking doesn't work sometimes, so walk-ins is my only option. I have a lot of complaints for that system, but it's not the workers fault in post office. The lady Luna working there is the goat. She told me she changed the rule for staying in post office after sign up for better experiences meanwhile some other locations you need to stay in line for the whole time. I got there at 5am, only 1 gentleman in front of me. And by the time 6am hit, only 9 in line and we take 15 applicants here. I went home after signing in, came back at 8:45am. Two dozen people showed up, and she tried to make sure everyone can get their paperwork in despite going above the required limit. Truly the GOAT. Overall she's super nice and quick. It could be because I'm the first customer there. But I can tell she handled everything professionally. If you are preparing your passport documents for the first time, get your stuff ready. Make copies for your supporting documents. When you get everything ready, it's super smooth. 1 star for the system, 5 star for her”

“The supervisor went above and beyond to help locate my package on a Saturday even after the post office was closed turns out I put the wrong unit # on my package. “A beautiful bit of San Jose history, this Post Office was built by the Franklin D. Roosevelt administration in 1933! Walking inside is like stepping back in time. All of the old teller windows along the one side that are now unused but still intact are a crazy sight to see here in the middle of Silicon Valley. I also found it to be quite a pleasant experience from the service point of view. The gentleman working the window was quick, efficient and very friendly. I work close by so this is my new postal office for mailing packages! They have all of the usual postal supplies that you might expect to find in the post office like the pack and ship boxes for first class shipping. Lots of supplies. Even if I have to wait, that just gives me more time to enjoy the building I'm standing in. As for parking, I had no problem finding a spot along the street. A quarter will buy you 9 minutes of time. That was more than enough for me to do what I needed to do and take all the photos! The only negative I would have to give is the location is directly across the street from St. James Park which is a place where a lot of our unhoused population spends time. Not generally a problem but just be aware.”
