“I have been going to Ace Auto Care since I moved to Lafayette, and continued going since I moved to Concord. They are respectful, honest, and fair. It may not be as convenient for me to bring my car back to Lafayette, but I know they will take care of my car.An example of their integrity: I have many stories of them being upstanding mechanics, but this one stood out to me the most. I brought my car in for a fix, they did their repairs and I started driving away. I noticed an odd sound, so I turned around and brought it right back. They looked at it, saw there was something they missed, and fixed it right away with no additional cost (it was a minor thing). I have been to other mechanics who will charge for absolutely everything. Ace Auto Care charges for parts and relevant labor.Services: Auto battery replacement”

“Had a flat tire so I took it to B&G to get it fixed. Enrique showed me where the hole was, on the sidewall so it could not be patched. I bought 2 new tires and was extremely pleased with the price of both and the service. There is a nice parking lot with disabled spots close to the front doors. There is an adequate seating area with benches. Be prepared for the overwhelming smell of rubber in the waiting area. I will always go back to B&G for tires and brake work.”

“Their service is excellent, fast, and professional! I requested a smog and it was done within 15 minutes! It was so fast and they were very polite. I unfortunately didn't get any employees' names, but the lady at the front desk and the gentlemen who serviced my vehicle were very polite and courteous. I was hesitant going in because I've seen some reviews mentioning poor service, but I didn't experience anything of the sort. Unlike most smog shops in Vallejo, they didn't offer a coupon. There is also a charge whether your vehicle passes or fails. I thought the price was fair and typical of smog checks I've had in the past. The service was excellent, so I don't mind paying a little more. They send your information to the DMV and they are STAR certified. The waiting area is quite small so you may need to stand outside and wait. I went at 8:45 and they already had quite a few customers. They do not schedule appointments and operate on a first-come-first-served basis, so it would be best to go early in the morning if you're in a rush. I would recommend OCM and will likely return for my next smog test.”

I work in orinda and have had this nasty noise coming from my rear wheel. 2 mechanics before taking it here told me they were “unsure” what the noise was. Jaimie, an incredible service advisor got me in within an hour of talking to him. Come to find out I was basically driving around a death machine due to bad prior mechanic work. Pete was the tech that got me all fixed and back on the road in an hour ! Would 1000000% recommend if you are looking for a fair, competent shop to take care of your prize possession, or even just your daily driver. Great price too!”

I always feel that Terry is looking out for MY best interests. We always have good conversations about what work needs to be done vs what work could be done and the pros, cons and risks (if any). I have especially appreciated this during lean times when we could only afford the minimum. The place is NOT fancy, you aren't paying for amenities, just quality work at a reasonable price. They have EARNED our loyalty.”
