“I was born in San Francisco and have lived here a number of times. I always saw those cars but they seemed too tourist oriented. Coming back for a visit after 10 years and renting a GoCar to see the city was a lot of fun. My wife just laughed most of the time.
I recommend it as an option, if you have 3 hours to just hangout together and want a quick tour of the city.”

They were super helpful and even suggested local spots to visit where we were traveling to. I left my purse in the car on accident and flew out of the city before I realized. City Rent a Car found it and priority shipped it to me in 2 days across the country!! In more than 30 trips, they have never once been late for a pickup. They also track incoming flights, which makes airport pickups smooth and stress-free. On the very few occasions when I had to wait longer than expected at the SFO Arrivals lane (less than a handful of times), they were apologetic and even adjusted their pricing—something you rarely see in this industry.

“I walked in in a weekday just after the place open, but still need to wait for a long queue. it'll be much quicker if you place an appointment and arrange everything through internet. Then only basic license check needed there. It's a not big garage compared to airports rental center, but I got an American Muscle there Dodge Challenger. This beginning lighted on my West Coast road trip.”
“Picked up our car when leaving SF for a 17 day tour of California. I'd booked a Full-size SUV (Group Z) through Budget UK website as was nervous as to what we'd get. Ended up being a 2025 Chevy Tahoe LT with 1400 miles on it. Absolutely perfect - the car was amazing and I couldn't have been happier with it. The service was efficient but perhaps a little brusque - I tried to confirm excesses, insurances, no toll tags etc but the lady wasn't that interested. However, booking through UK gave me all that I needed without requiring extras. Drop off at LAX was super easy and efficient as well.”

“Thought I had to swap cars with a front tire with low pressure this morning.
Location didn’t have enough cars to swap, but offered to refill the tire air with their compressor and said to monitor. Should I see a low tire alert again suggested a few locations in the direction I’m headed.
White glove treatment for someone who didn’t even rent from this location. I appreciate them especially in the name of safety going that extra mile to make sure I was okay. Thank you!”
“I had a great experience here today, and what a stark difference from my last rental experience at a different agency. The check-in process was fast and easy (I reserved online), and the folks who helped me were very courteous and professional.
Reading other reviews just now, I sort of understand people's frustration when things don't work out well for them because I've been there before too, but their complaints seem to have more to do with Budget corporate or reservations and not reading the business hours in advance. To me they were quite clear that the business would be closed at noon on Sunday.”

“Overall rental experience was good. Return was complicated, mainly because the place was *very* jard to find for an out of towner. The lot was small and overcrowded, and the office was not very hospitable. But the attendant was friendly and did his best to help me. I was grateful to find a 1-way rental at all, so on balance and overall pleased with the experience.”

“The Avis/Budget office is located in the parking garage of the Hilton Hotel (not the main entrance of the hotel itself). It is a small office, nothing fancy, but sufficient.
The employee working there was friendly, efficient and did the uttermost to get us the rented car as quickly as possible.
