“This gym is a hidden gem. Joining TFT has been one of the best decisions of my life! It has made me stronger and less prone to illnesses and injury. Additionally, I have found a community of friends at the gym who are welcoming and encouraging. I completed the Spartan Race at the SF Giants' stadium in December 2022 with a team of TFT members, without whom it would have been impossible for me to complete the race. I have also lost weight based on my participation in a wellness program with Eric. Eric has a wealth of knowledge and is great at providing input when needed. Do not be shy to ask him.”

“Long overdue review after moving away.. O2 is a very special gym. I first stepped foot in this gym 4 months postpartum to my second child (was a member for about a year) and was the best gift I gave myself at that time. I miss working out at O2 and want to share reasons why you'll love working out here too. The space (hangar style, spacious, CLEAN), the coaches (motivating, fun, knowledgeable, helpful with modifications when needed), the community (they are the type of people who you'll enjoying working out with, they are friendly, encouraging, welcoming), the workouts (super fun and challenging, using the latest equipment + all great condition, and I really appreciated the WOD emails they sent the day before to prep you or scare you lol). If you're looking for a gym to get excited about working out for the first time or trying to get motivated again, don't skip on O2.”

“I have been training at Opex San Juan for almost a year and a half. During a recent work/vacation trip to San Francisco, I s for in the atea anound Opex Kura. Melissa promptly answered all my questions and welcomed me to visit her gym. All the equipment and machines are in excellent conditions and neatly organized. Furthermore, the floor coaches, Melissa and Josh, were astounding…those kind of trainers that not only advise you on the adequate position for your exercises, but further explain why, when and where you should move, push, extend, and feel the pressure. Definitely, having other Opex gyms focused on individualized training (not a crossfit box) while traveling is another benefit for joining this community. Thanks Melissa and Josh!!!”

“Amazing outdoor fitness facility with a wide of variety of equipment for all sorts of workouts. I had hesitations about workouts outdoor, but it turned out to be very refreshing and freeing. I highly recommend trying it out. There's also an indoor facility (feels dark coming from the great outdoor facility) that includes workout machines, bathrooms, water, snacks for purchase, and even a shower. There's plenty of parking on the gravel parking area as well as some street parking.”

“Hands down the best CrossFit gym I have ever been to besides my home gym here in Chicago. I visited as a walk-in last week and loved HGX so much that I came back for a second class... while on vacation, no less. I had Jazmin and Julie as my coaches during my two visits - they were welcoming and gave me excellent feedback on form. The broader HGX community is also incredibly friendly and diverse in profession, age, race, culture, and CrossFit levels. Thank you HGX for being a highlight of my Bay Area trip.Advice for travelers: Eat all the good food the Bay Area has to offer, and work it off at HGX :)- Matthew, Chicago”

“I found Morph Fitness online when I was looking into getting my fitness and diet on track. I'm so grateful I didn't let my hesitancy stop me from meeting with Wayne for my initial assessment. It's been two months with Wayne now and it's been one of the best decisions of my life and truly transformative.Wayne not only possesses an exceptional level of expertise in fitness and nutrition but also has an unmatched ability to tailor workouts to my specific needs and goals. His personalized approach ensured that every session was challenging yet achievable, pushing me to surpass my limits and reach new heights. I especially appreciated the attention to rehabbing old injuries and focusing on weaknesses I didn't know existed.I've attempted many diets before and unsurprisingly none of them stuck. Wayne's diet program is simple and approachable but incredibly effective. The easy-to-follow guardrails are exactly what a diet requires and made it a success for both me and my wife. Eight weeks in and I'm down 16 lbs of FAT, upped my muscle mass by 2 lbs, and all confirmed by a DEXA scan yesterday! For reference, my starting point was 154 lbs and somewhere between 18-22% body fat. Thanks to Wayne, I have not only transformed my body but also gained a newfound confidence and strength that extends far beyond the gym walls. His commitment to my success has truly been genuine, and I cannot thank him enough for helping me achieve my goals. If you're looking for a personal trainer who is not only knowledgeable and skilled but also truly cares about your progress and well-being, look no further than Wayne. He is simply the best in the business, and I cannot recommend him highly enough. Thank you, Wayne!”

“I've lifted for a few years now, spread out over time. But coming to Coach Mark's gym I quickly realized I don't have a few years of lifting experience, I have the same year of lifting experience repeated for a few years. What happened? Poor form, injuries, overtraining, ego. In my first session with Mark I immediately learned that my form led to instability. Fixing that, I felt my squat secure and confident. This is the theme of Fullgrip. Low ego, form focused, and strategically shifting to heavier weights so its sustainable in the long term. While I lifted, I saw around me both beginner, novice, intermediate and heavy lifters. One person was squatting 500 for one, while another was repping less than a plate. I would recommend this gym highly if you are someone who resonates with the above. If you have commitment issues, and needs a more personal touch to kick your ass if you start getting off track, I would say a more 1-1 personal trainer is probably ideal. But if you have the right commitment to show up a few times a week on schedule, and are looking for someone to level you up past plateaus in a safe, long term effective way, I highly recommend FullGrip Barbell and coach Mark.”

“I've been training with Jean on and off for past couple of years, as my travel schedule allows. I enjoy the small group training environment, because you form the comradery that helps motivate the whole group. The groups are much smaller than typical gym classes, so that I get plenty of one on one instruction time. This is important for me, because I have recurring right knee pain from an old soccer injury, so I'm always asking for guidance on how to improve my condition and alternate exercises that won't aggravate my knee. Jean is very knowledgeable and I'm happy to say my knee has improved under her guidance. I will continue to enjoy her positive teaching style and my improved health.”

“When I learned that I would be having a major surgery this summer, I decided to start working with a personal trainer because I wanted to get as physically healthy as possible for my recovery. What I found at Sol Gym completely exceeded my expectations! I spent about 10 weeks training, and as my surgery date approaches, I feel stronger than I've ever felt in my life. I worked primarily with Lori in virtual personal training sessions, so this review will highlight this experience. Lori is an incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and supportive trainer. I was so impressed with how she tailored our sessions to meet my specific goals and situation. Lori truly prepared me for my surgery recovery. She brought her expertise to the process while also making me feel heard. As we worked together, I was so happy to reach milestones and feel myself getting stronger. Thanks to her guidance and support, I built core and arm strength and met all my other goals as well. I always looked forward to our sessions and genuinely enjoyed working with her. Additionally, I've felt strong and grounded enough to reconnect with running, something I love that I can finally do without knee soreness for the first time in years! I'm so grateful that I got to work with Lori. I'm also grateful that I had the opportunity to work with Mike a couple of times at the gym--his knowledge is amazing. I had a great session with Keaton as well. This is the best gym and I highly recommend it!”

“I've been going to Fernando for about a year now for personal training.I've had several coaches in weightlifting, bodybuilding, yoga, and crossfit. I've also worked with several physical therapists over the years for injuries both acute and chronic (broken arm, neck pain). My goals have changed over the years. I'm in my 30s and work at a desk most of the day. My primary goal now is health and wellness. I want to be strong and mobile. No coach has contributed to my wellbeing as much as Fernando.I haven't felt this capable and pain-free in years. Many of the things he notices and addresses remind me of sessions with extremely talented physical therapists, and the workouts he develops challenge and engage me in ways workouts often haven't before.I could write a lot here but I'll cut it short there. If you want to hear more, or are a desk worker with a lot of chronic pain, reach out to Fernando. I would be more than happy to personally reiterate these things and more. You are not likely to find another like this dude. 100% well worth it.”

“Anyone who knows me knows that I. Do. Not. Exercise. But in January 2023, I figured it was probably time to find an activity that I enjoyed. Came across ILKB offering 5 trials classes for $40 and it was an immediate no brainer. Five months later of 4-6 classes a week, I can safely say I am hooked and kickboxing has now become the routine. All the instructors are great and I love that depending on the instructor, I'll get a different intensity level. I also love that I've become part of a community and how we celebrate all the little wins and birthdays together. At ILKB, we workout together, groan and complain together, eat together, and do those damn burpees together.”

“If you don't want to join a regular gym and want some guidance on strength training and a supportive community look no further! I've been working out here pretty consistently over a year. It's long overdue to write a review. The strength camp gym been nothing but amazing for me. Mostly because of community and coaches. I increased my strength and gained substantial amount of muscle since I joined. It's fun, always feel great after a workout, been a life-saving having those workouts in my daily routine. You just show up the rest assured. Also love that this gym is staying away from politics of any sorts. way to go!”

“I've never done a rowing class before and took a class with a friend of mine who is a member. It was a great workout. Staff were friendly, provided a tour of facility and walked me through everything I needed to know as a newbie. It's a smaller, boutique gym so there aren't showers but they have clean and spacious bathrooms where you can change. They went over membership pricing and bulk/individual class costs without being too pushy.”

“Small business gym. Gets the job done for most of your needs. I especially like the fact that they don't play pop music like most other gyms do. Early afternoons are the least busy”

“I have been taking classes from Kelly (HIIT, Boot Camp, Kick Boxing, Spin...etc) for years. I am the type that needs the class to be fun, filled with good music, and throw in a few laughs. Her classes check all the boxes, and the group/community there is a huge bonus. She is great at encouraging you to push yourselves, but the classes allow you the flexibility to dial up or down the intensity based on your comfort level or how you feel that day ;). I highly recommend giving this place a try. I find fitness is important for the health of your mind and body. I leave my classes here feeling like I have achieved both.”

“IMPACT is a great kickboxing gym for all levels. My husband I joined a year ago with different experience levels (I have a black belt in taekwondo, whereas he was completely new to this kind of workout). Both of us have grown over the past year thanks to the instructors at IMPACT. They're all really friendly and knowledgeable! I've been to all kinds of gyms, and none of them match the culture at IMPACT. Everyone feels welcome here.”

“I've been working out here 4x a week for the last month from around 9-11am. It's basically always nearly empty, which I love. They have all of the barbells, bumper plates, training plates, many squat racks and lifting benches and all of the machines I'd consider using. If you like to lift it's basically perfect. The environment is more chill and personal than a. Corporate gym but less pressure than a personal training only gym. I have been doing the semi private training which is ideal for helping me get back into lifting after a 10 year break. I didn't know what semi private training is; it's not a class, it just means they get you all set up and check in form and help with workout design and check in on you several times during your workout and see if you have questions and are using good form but they aren't hovering over you every minute of the workout (which I did not like from personal training in the past.) there are personal trainers and their clients from time to time and they seem to have fun but that's not really my thing. I expect that in 6 months or so I will have a solid foundation and will transition to a regular gym membership here. It's great to have that flexibility.”

“MyGym San Carlos is awesome!! The staff are incredible, the space is both adventurous and safe, the programs are creative, fresh, and fun -- we even had a birthday party here, and it went wonderfully! Just an excellent spot, can't say enough good things!”

“I am 38 and have always hated the idea of working out. I also have suffered from severe anxiety my whole life. I decided to do the 6 week challenge and I can't believe I'm saying this but within the first week it changed my life. I haven't had an anxiety attack at all for the last month and SO MANY other things are happening (job offers, money randomly coming in, old friends contacting me). This place is magic. From someone that didn't believe in this shit before I'm telling you it's real. Mike and Jess (trainers) really care about you and help you. I can't believe it took me so long to do this. The past is the past. Let the dead bury the dead. Now is the only time that exists. I am finally becoming the person I have always wanted.to be. THANK YOU!”

“I've been a member for about 5 months and it's definitely been worth it. The facility is clean, front desk is nice, and this location has good groups of people to workout with. Cancelled my membership for now since it became a little repetitive with rowing and treadmill. You'll have fun and lose weight but it was time for me to move on. Highly recommend giving it a try to see if it's for you.”
