The furniture got delivered yesterday and it was amazing! Paid for the full service delivery which included staff building the furniture, delivering it, setting it up in your space and taking away all trash, which was amazing and so worth it! I wanted to specifically highlight Rebecca's customer service. I will definitely be coming back to Living Spaces specifically because of the amazing customer service!”

“My delivery associate was Dave Dragoo and he was super friendly and professional. They arrived a little bit early but was kind enough to wait for me in their truck as I had a meeting during that time. They were very careful of not damaging your floor while assembling everything and even explained how to dissemble it if you ever need to move the furniture. As I purchased an extendable table, they showed me how to put the leaves in and even helped to find out locations to store them in my house. They were very fast in moving everything in but made sure everything was in place before they left (unlike a lot of moving companies I had in the past-always in a rush). I am very happy with the service and will highly recommend room and board for making your furniture purchase.”

“I wanted to recommend Nordic Nest to those looking for knitting supplies. Anette, the owner, was absolutely lovely and incredibly helpful to my 83 year old mom who was looking for yarn and knitting supplies for a gift. Two other local stores completely blew her off when she called for assistance, but Anette was very kind not only over the phone but also texted back and forth with her a few times. We purchased some beautiful yarn at a reasonable price there today from Anette, and shortly after we left, she (as promised) even sent my Mom links to a number of websites where we could purchase patterns. Anette was great in person too, had terrific suggestions, and was very patient with my Mom. The store itself is lovely too, and we will need to return to look at the various artisanal gifts on display and available for purchase. Anette & Nordic Nest are keepers for sure!”

I asked one of the employers, his name is Fernando if they sell any snack at the store.... he told me , I will look. He came back with a turkey cheese sandwich a bottle of water and a napkin....... “I love Maggie! Aside from being just a really nice person, her work is also top quality! I asked her to sew a custom white linen slipcover for my Ralph Lauren sofa in 2009. She came to my home, took all the measurements and returned a few weeks later with beautiful slipcovers that fit like a glove. Five years later, my slipcovers are still like new. I have a toddler and needless to say, we wash our slipcovers frequently. They are so sturdy and holding up so well after 5 years. Thank you Maggie!”

“If you want quality, custom work look no further than Cecilia (owner) at Sans Souci. She worked with me on creating new slipcovers for my outside furniture cushions using Sunbrella fabric. She made the patterns using my existing cushions, replaced the interior batting with product made to hold up to outside weather (original cushions did not have this and mold and mildew was the result), and fashioned beautiful cushions with zippers and now my patio furniture looks BETTER than new! There is no comparison between an upholster and the final product produced by Sans Souci. Was easy to get to her shop in Pacifica from SF - 15 minutes - freeway all the way. And FREE available parking! Can't wait to work with Cecilia on custom window coverings next...”

Deceiving from the outside, I thought it was going to be a small shop... but there was so much to explore and admire. I tried my best to keep hands off because as most of us know, antiques can be pricey. But they have some affordable stuff as well!”

“This is a relatively new addition to downtown Millbrae, and though I don't see myself buying anything from here in the immediate future ... never say never, especially because not only is our house full of all sorts of Southg Asian and Asian decor, but there've been all sorts of occasions when we've popped into one of these places. It's neatly laid out, and I get the sense that they're still ironing out the kinks in their interior. When we wandered in, they were fairly busy setting stuff up, and I didn't see stickers of prices on the items. I can imagine (and for their sake) hope they manage to do a brisk business here. Though I would've rather a food place had popped up here, for what it's worth, they have a large, albeit limited repertoire of decor and furniture items, that range more on the aesthetic side, than purely functional, though this might change as they expand their inventory. Btw., the space is fairly large, though it doesn't look it from the outside, because it's deep and vertically stacked, so it might be worth your while to walk all the way to the back.”
