“My miata NB was having a growling noise at high gear + low RPMs. A generalist auto shop spent 4 hours looking at it and diagnosed it as a transmission related issue. This surprised me because the car shifts pretty smoothly, despite the noise. I called up a transmission specialty shop, described the issue, and was told to get a second opinion, and that's when I brought my car over to Exact Motorsports.
Since I went on a weekday it wasn't terribly busy. I was only there for a total of 20 minutes. What's great is that the mechanic actually invited me to drive my miata while it was on the lift. To my surprise the sound totally disappeared. He explained how it was just the heat shield rattling against a exhaust moment and was doubtful there was anything wrong with the trans.
If my miata ever starts having issues or making other weird noises, I'm definitely bringing it here first. The transparency and honesty demonstrated left a good impression on me.”

“I have tested their honesty very please with them. I have Lexus I brought to Envision Toyota at Milpitas for yearly service maintenance. They recommend to change all my breaks and of course it’s costly. I decided to have Alvin’s Auto Repair Shop to have them change . I’m suprised Michael said your breaks are still good to go for 25,000 miles ! Thanks for Michael ‘s honesty. This year I have them replaced for a fraction of the price from what the dealer quoted me. The original owners, Jim and Don, could have sold to anybody but instead chose to sell the business to someone who would preserve the values they built into their business: quality service, fair prices, honest recommendations, and trust. They intentionally sold to Kris, who is maintaining the same values. If you value the same attributes I mentioned above, check out Bay City. Today, I had my car (Toyota, but they handle almost all brands) serviced and Kris did extra things like topping off fluids. I looked under the hood later and believe he also removed corrosion from the batttery terminals. Attention to detail and going the extra mile! No, I'm not getting paid for this endorsement, and I'm sure Kris will be very surprised when he reads this!”

“I've come to Smog Pro Milpitas twice, once for an oil change and another time for an oil rotation. For each service, they had me in and out in less than 30 min, completed the services requested well. The price for the oil change for a sedan was $75 & the tire rotation was $35. I would definitely come back again. Staff is friendly and makes it easy to schedule an appointment or walk-in”

“If roadside guardian angels wear coveralls, Eric is definitely one of them. He’s the GOAT. Don’t be fooled by the fact that his shop is apparently in/around (used to be?) an old gas station. This dude knows his stuff.
We were passing through town on a tight road-trip timeline when our traction control system decided to have an existential crisis. Enter Eric. He dropped everything, diagnosed the problem almost immediately, ordered the part, replaced the broken component, and had us completely fixed and back on the road in about an hour. No drama. No delay. No “this might take all day.”
On top of that, the price was extremely fair. No mysterious add-ons, no “while we’re in here…” nonsense. Just a straight shooter who clearly knows his stuff, respects your time, and actually wants to solve the problem.
Professional, knowledgeable, efficient, and refreshingly no fluff. If you need an honest, independent mechanic who treats emergencies like actual emergencies, Eric is the mechanic you hope to find when your car decides to misbehave mid-road trip.

“They immediately repaired my tire (on a Tesla) in less than 10 minutes for $25. I had called around before and Big O told me I would need to leave for 2 hours. Other gas stations didn't answer, or couldn't do it. I mention Tesla because I was told in the past that they couldn't work on Teslas (even the tire!)”

My tires were at the absolute brink of catastrophe and this team worked with ALL means necessary to get the sophisticated lock nuts off the car, replace 2 studs and get me new tires AFTER hours. “This review is for the used car manager David Ramirez, service writer Stevie Tausan, and Abdul used car manager. I purchased a 2021 Honda Pilot in October 2023. I did notice the car had an alignment issue that according to the technician was corrected which was not, I also did not receive my second key, and it only came with less than half a tank of gas. I was hesitant to give them a review at that time because I felt that the car still had an alinement issue. After speaking with the team, I named above on January 27, 2024, I brought in my car for a second diagnoses. They did a great job.
