They also can measure your foot arch, width, heel size, etc to fit you with an anatomically correct shoe, which I thought was awesome. This was our second visit to The Dance Bag in Modesto, and I will never buy dance supplies online again. My daughter is in her second year of dancing, and every single time we’ve come in, we’ve felt genuinely welcomed and personally helped. No appointment, no rushing, no pressure. They take the time to properly fit her, explain things, and connect with her in a way that makes her feel comfortable and confident. They are truly exceptional with children, even very young ones.
The store itself is clean, beautifully organized, and thoughtfully laid out. They carry high-quality, trusted dance brands like Bloch and Capezio, and other styles and I was impressed with the variety of both narrow and wide foot shapes. I also just love the store’s overall vibe. Their gifts, trinkets, and accessories don’t feel like random add-ons or filler like most other stores but every item feels intentionally chosen and perfectly matched to the store’s clientele. It’s joyful, cohesive, and honestly just delightful to browse.
One thing that really matters to me is inclusivity as we are a mixed race family and to be frankly honest, ballet spaces in particular have not always felt welcoming or inclusive for me growing up in the dance world. But this store absolutely feels like a safe space for all. The ballerina dolls, ornaments, and stuffed animals reflect a range of skin tones and wasn’t just one narrow image of what a dancer looks like. That representation is noticed, felt, and deeply appreciated.
The Dance Bag is kind, inclusive, professional, and clearly run with heart. I’ll be coming here for as long as my daughter dances and we are in the area.”
“I recently visited Shoes That Fit in McHenry Village (Modesto, California) to purchase my first pair of New Balance shoes for my plantar fasciitis. Erica was absolutely amazing! She gave me the best customer service I’ve ever experienced—not just at that store, but in McHenry Village overall.
She was kind, patient, and very knowledgeable about what I needed. She took the time to help me find the right fit and made sure I left with something that would truly support my feet. “The salesperson Daniel was really nice and very helpful. He grabbed mine and my girlfriend’s shoe sizes and color that we wanted. We felt terrible about when he was tying our shoes to get a perfect fit. Then at the last minute, we decided on a different color. I felt like a jerk doing that to him, but I’m happy to say he did everything we asked for. He had a great attitude and he was really fast.”
“Anything you want or need at this store for western wear. F they don’t have it in the store you can have it delivered to the store or to your home. Really helpful and nice staff inside the store. I love my boots. There is plenty of free and safe parking and ADA parking. The store is easy to locate in the Modesto Plaza Parkway. If you need your foot sized or have questions the staff is great. There is something for everyone in the family to get at this store. Their collection will f turquoise and silver jewelry is too much to choose from. Everything is simply adorable.”

“I took my kids in for some back to school shopping, and Jasmin was FANTASTIC! She was so friendly and warm during our interaction, that I felt compelled to write about it. She helped find the right sizes for my kids, had them try the shoes on and walk around in them, and completely made the interaction seamless from start to finish. “We had such a wonderful experience! When we first walked in we were immediately welcomed by Jaselle. She was absolutely so sweet and patient. She took the time to measure my daughter's feet this is the first time she was actually measured for shoes and it was a wonderful experience. She then took my daughter over to the shoe wall and asked her what she was interested in looking at this made my little girl feel so good and excited. She was so patient and kind while my daughter tried on multiple pairs of shoes and without hesitation she would go back and get another pair if my daughter asked. I did not expect to buy more than one pair that wound up buying more than one because they are such great quality and the customer service was so excellent. The check out counter we were helped by Emma she was also so sweet and helpful as well! We will definitely be coming back here to get our shoes.”

“I went in on 1/3/25 looking for a pair of work boots.I ended up finding 2 pairs I liked and a couple pair of coveralls so I bought them all LOL.Both young ladies working were very friendly and helpful and I thought they had a great selection of boots and work clothes.If you are looking for quality workwear and boot this is a great place.If you are looking for cheap boots you should probably go to Walmart.If your a professional tradesman do yourself a favor and buy Quality boots and workwear!!”
“I stopped by this past Saturday to pick up my pair of white cement 4s I had reserved on the app, I picked up my pair and didn’t checked it throughly since I didn’t want to take up so much time since there was a line behind me, once I got to my car I noticed one of the shoes had a factory defect so I decided to go back inside the store I spoke with the manager about the issue and with no hesitation he helped me out and gave me a better, that manager deserves a raise he was really helpful even though the store was busy he still made time to make it right for me, I will define to be shopping here again thanks to the manager of the store customer service”

“When I visited Tillys I had a good experience I was greeted and welcomed. I requested a fitting room because I wasn’t to sure about their sizing and everything was quick I tried on the pants got the right size and got out. Service was great there were two woman with black straight hair that made my checkout experience quick and easy. I rate my experience 5/5 good service, everything was easy to find, store was neat and very clean, and people at the register made checkout quick and easy. Highly recommend this location.”

I called my wife who then tells me that she forgot to order it. I asked if I can just purchase the item at the discounted price listed on the online order.
