“Amazing place. Beautiful spacious room. Full kitchen was essential. Lots of amenities. Washer and dryer in the room came in handy for the kids covered in sand. And the beach side bond fires at night were awesome.”

“It's a great place to stay whenever you are visiting Sunset State Beach. It is kid friendly. They have a pool for kids to enjoy which closes at 10pm everyday. They serve breakfast from 6am-10am.”
“Had a Wonderful stay, was greeted by a friendly gentleman named Sean who assisted with check in, he was warm and welcoming and made us really enjoy the rest of our stay.
Would definitely recommend this place for its level of service and location. :)”
“Pros: Welcoming front! Clean and modern! Check-in process was quick and the receptionist was very helpful and polite! Breakfast area was clean and tidy! Good breakfast buffet aligned with Holiday Inn Express standard!
Cons: The only complaint is the deceptive amenities advertised about the indoor swimming pool and pictures on all booking websites. The reception said it’s been closed and locked for six months with no updates. I visited Point Lobos Nature Reserve which I could have picked another closer IHG hotel with pool to relax after long hikes!”
“My wife and I stayed here last weekend. She loved the decore , we loved the hottub and it is located very central to everywhere we wanted to be.
That alone would earn them a 5 star review HOWEVER I left my 49ers watch hanging on the lamp! I can't believe I did that.
They text me and let me know when I was already on my way home. I figured I would have to drive back the next weekend.
The very next day they reminded me and also offered to mail it.
It cost me $9.75 (what the post office charged) and sent it :)
Starting with the housekeeper that found it and didn't keep it to the the office staff and manager that mailed it I feel they went ABOVE AND BEYOND the call of duty to help me out.
My wife and I will definitely be staying here again!!!
Also, the breakfast is AMAZING!!!!”
“This is a convenient location near the freeway and fast food. It's a good location because it's very close to Monterey without the higher cost. The nice gentleman at the front desk upgraded our room to a lovely suite which looks brand new. It is pretty quiet. Unfortunately breakfast was not great. There are plenty of options but the scrambled eggs and sausage were both pretty dry.”

“The man who checked us in was very kind and efficient. Our room was spacious, clean, and cozy. We were sooo excited when we went to check out and we were given a special complimentary to go breakfast !! All of the staff were very sweet and it was cool to have access to a gas station right outside of our motel. Perfect place to stay during our travels. :)”

“tldr: As good as can be expected IF you can get it for under a hundred a night, but more than that and you may be disappointed. I had to pay way more due to busy weekend, and in retrospect the extra few bucks a night may have been worth the upgrade. They don't have fitted bed sheets, for example, so they're always pulling out, and the shower is circa 1950 and dank. NO AIR CONDITIONING but the windows open so good airflow if it's not a heat wave. AMAZING burritos at Papa Chevo's just a few blocks south!
Long winded: I was in town to attend Sea Otter at Laguna Seca, and I stayed her to save some money vs Monterey. If you're the kind of person I am - a guy who road trips and has no standards - you always stay in the cheapest place you can find that doesn't have something REALLY bad wrong with it. A few cleanliness reviews are not going to deter me. I'm not a clean freak, and I don't expect a spa: I just want enough space to stash bikes and get some rest with my kids. And I like these one-story motels with the parking lot in the middle because of security and being able to get to your car so easily, especially when traveling with bikes.
This place mostly met my very low expectations. The two-queen room was HUGE, with two beds AND a 3-person dining table setup AND lots of room left over. So that was awesome. The beds were too firm, but I travel with a camping pad to put on top anyway so I don't have to worry about it, and kids are tough. (My wife wasn't with me so I don't have the ladies' perspective, but I can guess she would not have loved it). The shower was one of those dark, fully tiled stalls behind a tiny glass door with no light, which gets the job done but will not cause you to linger any longer necessary, and I'm not the type to pull out a flashlight and go looking for grime so I wouldn't know if it was dirty or not. Overall very cheap bathroom with no fan, but the window opens.
My main beef was price. There was a big event nearby, which I was attending, so I had to pay $220 PER NIGHT for what is $80 every other weekend. Okay, all is fair in love and war: if they're busy they can ask more money, that's just business. But then I get there and the parking lot was almost empty! It just made me feel like they should have negotiated with me a bit since I was booking only a few days ahead so they KNEW they were almost empty, yet they held the line at that ridiculous price. Oh well, it was a good stay for our use case (dudes and teenagers more concerned with storage space than amenities), but most women I know would not like it just because of the age of the bathroom and the lame bedding.”

“The wife and I spent a night at the Comfort Inn in Marina while on a quick trip to Monterey. The property was just off the freeway, with a Denny’s around the corner,
across the street from a Walmart, and less than 2 minutes to the ocean at the end of Reservation Road. Room was large, comfortable, and fairly quiet. We found the beds and pillows to be great to us, and the hot breakfast to have plenty of options to choose from. The price was about average compared to other Comfort Inns we have stayed in this year, and though pricier than some of the motels in Monterey, it was a good place for us.”

“Overall this is a great hotel to stay at. The staff is over the top friendly and helpful. Their morning breakfast is always hot and delicious with a good variety. Rooms are always super clean and there's plenty of towels in the room. The only downfall that I have found is if you're showering during a high water usage time, the water is not super hot. It is warm but it's not hot. Any other time it's fine.
It's a good hotel to stay at. I have stayed here before and I will stay here again”
“This is THEE best Motel 6 on the west coast. I travel up and down the coast for work with my cat and we regularly stay at Motel 6. I've stayed at countless Motel 6s from Seattle to San Diego.
Checking in was a breeze, getting the room I wanted was so simple, normally I feel like I have to over explain why I want a bottom floor room, or they always look annoyed for some reason.
I love my room I wish I could live in it. The furniture is still new, the bed was so comfortable I could cry. I had the best nights sleep that I've had in 2 years.
There's a side of the hotel that is in the back and it's so quiet (aside from inconsiderate people talking at full volume while they smoke at 2am lol but that's not the hotels fault). The front is facing the freeway so it's a bit louder.
Usually you can hear the person above you and it sounds like they're moving furniture... I barely heard a thing!
It's next door to a Denny’s, and walking distance from Wal Mart, and the beach!
There's also privacy! They have walls and bushes in front of the rooms and I've never seen that before at a Motel 6.
They also still have bathtubs!!!! a lot of the hotels on the West Coast are pulling out the bathtubs and replacing them with these locker room style showers but I personally love taking baths as I have been traveling so much. So it always breaks my heart a little bit when I check into a hotel and it only has a shower. So to my surprise there's a decent size bath and the water is so hot and consistent!”
“Nice clean place. No a/c but two fans in the room. Big bed, thick fluffy towels, owner is nice and professional . Will definitely return if I'm ever in town again”

“I always want to buy everything here! It’s a one-stop store because they have boots, tons of Ariat jackets (more than the Ariat store ) , jeans, shirts, belts and lots of hats. The staff are friendly, they greet me and ohelped me find an outfit for my husband that would match my dress. Really patient and helped me find the correct boot size for my kids and me (first time buying them boots)Overall we bought an outfit for everyone and will come back! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”
“I've stayed at this hotel on multiple occasions and I've always had a positive experience. The rooms have lots of accessible outlets for electronics if you're a busy traveler. The rooms are generally quiet, but if you prefer to keep the window open for fresh air you'll hear some mild road noise. Towels in the bathroom are a bit on the thin side but serviceable and the shower had good water pressure. The free breakfast in the morning is okay, there is a waffle maker and some packaged breakfast sandwiches and danishes.”
“Stayed one night in a suite. Friendly, accommodating staff like Hope, easy check in/check out process. Clean room and kitchen supplies, comfortable bed. Shopping area just across. Free healthy breakfast available. Swimming pool in Residence inn, gym by Courtyrad next door. Please consider offering complimentary free parking as your competitors are. Would stay again.”

“Checked in super late and the guy was so so so so nice and helpful and chill. In the morning I asked the front desk to freeze some ice packs I had before I leave, and the kind lady was super helpful. She also filled my water bottle for the trip. All in all anyone from the staff I approached in the few hrs I spent there were genuinely helpful and kind. Thank you

“For 100 bucks the room in my opinion was great . Clean, no orders, no carpet, spacious rooms, comfortable bed, those people there show that they take care of there motel . Unlike some of the places you wouldn't let a roach sleep there . Get this as well, they have soft water ! I was shocked when I saw that . So that's another plus . Sleep there its a nice place. Negative reviews ? Some people will just complain to complain .”

“So from the moment I arrived the lady in the front has been super kind and outgoing in order to make my stay convenient and enjoyable. In general this, please is very nice and almost unexpectedly a great fine and to top it off the customer service is very awesome and satisfying. Now last week I stayed at Motel 6 not too far from here and it was night and day, not even comparable. I don’t even know where to start so I’m just gonna say that I will never stay anywhere else except this place when I’m in the area and I travel a lot for work. I wish I would’ve found this place sooner. Awesome prices awesome service very good location. Everything is near here freeways and everything else that I may need when I’m away from home. I will definitely be extending my stay until I am finished with the job here and I will definitely be coming back when I’m needing a hotel in the area. It’s a no-brainer for me and don’t take my word for it. If you’re in an area, give it a try you will not regret it guaranteed and I’m sure people get paid for these or get some type of incentives, but that is not the case I’m just genuinely pleased and want to let people know not to make the same mistake. I did by staying at some hole in the wall place when this place is available. It’s very comfortable. There’s no riffraff around or ghetto activity or nothing like that. I would have no problem bringing my kids here and the stadium is right next-door basically so it’s perfect”
“Just want to say thank you for your customer service REMY ?? will definitely be back here. Thank you for talking to me on the phone so I can translate for my partner. ?”
“I was in room 103, the 1st morning was Glorious! So much Fog!! I fell in love with Country Inn. I was an Evacuee from the 800 Casanova ave Building fire. The Staff & service was outstanding.
Thank you”
“Dock Holiday at Captain's Inn was perfect for three sisters enjoying an otter outing. The accommodations were well kept with amenities aplenty. The view of the deck was beautiful with an otter sighting/welcome upon arrival! The surrounding grounds are designed with character (turtle pond! flowers! tables and chairs!). The common areas were well furnished, and the complimentary breakfast was generous. Hoping to return soon!”
