“Excellent Personal Service and Quality - Hidden Gem!
I discovered Rashi's Collection while searching for Modi vests for upcoming Indian weddings. This family-run business operates by appointment only from their home garage - definitely call ahead as mentioned in their tagline.
I was helped by Aanvi, the owner's daughter who's studying data science at UC Berkeley. Despite having a full-time summer internship, she was incredibly patient, pleasant, and helpful with no pressure or rush whatsoever. Her approach felt more like helping a friend than making a sale.
While the selection may be limited compared to larger stores, the quality and taste are excellent. Aanvi has a great eye for color matching and ensuring proper fit. I went in for two Modi vests but ended up with two full-length kurtas and white pajamas in addition. My wife also found something she loved.
What sets this place apart is the personalized attention and genuine care. Aanvi took time to understand what I needed and made thoughtful suggestions. The whole experience felt relaxed and enjoyable rather than transactional.
If you're looking for quality Indian formal wear with exceptional personal service, this is a great find. Just remember to call for an appointment first!”

I appreciate his helping after he was delegated to us from the blonde guy “presenting” himself at the front desk who seemingly decided he didn’t want to assist me or my husband. I don’t know maybe blondie was the manager and therefor he didn’t think he needed to stoop as low as helping clients OR he thought I was going to be a pain because I sort of knew what I wanted but sort of didn’t and he was getting a bad vibe but it showed. Once the sizes were done we picked through styles and colors. The sales people were kind and courteous. “Quite possibly the best buying experience I have ever had. I first walked in here recently to find my wedding suit - Jim was the first person to come up to me and led me to this beautiful blue suit. After viewing a few others I knew the first suit he picked was perfect for me. That day I didn't buy that suit because I wanted to see what alternatives were out there. There's a lot of good suit places in San Jose, but nothing quite like Eli Thomas.. Jim and his staff were so friendly and attentive and know exactly how your suit should look. I ended up coming back to see if I can order that exact suit, which at the time wasn't in my size. To my amazement Jim had the right sized suit ordered, shortly after my first visit, and it arrived the time I came in. Jim is a very confident sales man, and rightfully so.. it shows in the level of rapport and trust. Highly recommend buying your next suit from this store - my suit looks excellent!”
