“So it’s been exactly 1 week since I got my car back from the shop ?I had an electrical issue. (Wires)When I would press the start button to turn off my car, the engine wouldn’t shut off right away. It would take a few minutes. It would shake until it would force itself off… then my headlight would turn itself ON. (Yes, the lights were OFF) So b/c there was no other way for me to turn off, a button that was already off.. it would kill my battery… which would make me jump my car every other day when it wouldn’t turn off properly.Anyway… I had already made an appointment at a Ford dealership in San Leandro for an oil change.. then I included the issue above. I had my car there for a lil over a week, I spoke with him the weekend after drop off (monday), and the day of pick up (the next Monday). I couldn’t get a hold of him throughout the time my car was getting looked at.I called & spoke w/a few other ppl then I eventually spoke w/manager who told me he would get the guy assigned to me to reach out, which he never did. When I picked up the car, they said they couldn’t find anything.A day after, the car started doing the same thing, I dropped my car off after hours (b/c of work)Spoke to someone new, asked for someone different for the lack of communication, the new guy didn’t like that so much, so I took my car to the Ford dealership in Fremont,They ran another diagnostic (2), they too said they could not find anything, but that my oil was over filled & that I needed another one (drain out and put new), something about a lid under the hood needed fixing which would cost $1800, and I have bad tires in the front. They too had issues with communication, but it was kinda better then San Leandro..+ it was there a lil over a week b/c I had to wait 3 days for someone to run a diagnostic ?I honestly felt discouraged, and I didn’t know who to trust.Then I went ahead and took it to Managal Motors, because I remember having a good experience with my rotors getting replaced a few years ago.I called in, I dropped my car off the day of. I was told that they were going to run another diagnostic (3) and that it would take some time to find out the issue of the car. They called for questions about it before working on it, plus called in again to let me know what they were doing, and what he thought the issue might be, and then I got a text of a receipt & a call it was ready. I dropped it off before their shopped closed on a Tuesday, and got the car back on Monday (they had it fixed less then a week!)I haven’t had any issues with the engine turning off, or no spooky lights turning on by itself since ☺️☺️☺️☺️ & I was also told about my bad ties in front. (Which I did know about, I had my back tires changed, and I was working towards the front… anyway) I felt like they actually took the time out to find out what was wrong w/ my car, & kept in communication, and my car wasn’t even with them for a whole week.I’m not sorry for the long review, I’ve been really frustrated with the lost of money,time and lack of communication and trust. I’m so thankful that my car is back up n running.? THANK YOU MANGALE MOTORS!!!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!Ps. I had some burnt wires (from a car accident) that needed to be replaced, and the total cost was $537.69Which includes a diagnostic, parts, & labor.”

“My car's clutch decided it was a good time to disintegrate and this shop just happened to be the closest one to where I was about to break down. I consider myself lucky, Henry was amazing to work with! He gave me an honest quote with options for OEM or third party parts and explained what the quote did and didn't include.As an engineer who tries to do as much maintenance on my car as I can, I appreciated the way Henry talked me through what he was going to do and what they might find. It's a huge amount of work to get the transmission out of the car and I agreed with him about replacing the main engine bearing/seal while there was access. It's not an upsell, it's common sense and I feel like Henry's explanations throughout the whole process would make sense to even those who are less mechanically inclined. He sent me pictures of the damage they found and pictures of everything sparkling clean before they put it all back together.It sounds like this shop has been around for a long time and I hope it stays in business for a long time to come. I won't hesitate to bring my car back to Henry if it needs transmission work in the future and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this shop to anyone in the area.”

“I spent weeks trying to figure out why my engine wasn't getting sufficient gas. Ken is very knowledgeable and diagnosed my 280zx. Turns out my fuel injectors were clogged due to my fuel filter deteriorating along with some other things. I would trust this man to restore my car to 100 percent, but unfortunately I don't have the money for that so Ken replaced my distributor, fuel filter, fuel injector, fuel pump, and ignition coil instead haha.On the day I came to pick up the car he drove it up front and noticed some last minute behaviors and said "I'm sorry I can't give you something that isn't perfect". That moment right there was when I knew Ken truly CARES (obviously I knew before that moment). I'll continue working on my Datsun and replace/fix things I can within my own ability, but I know where I'm taking it the next time I need something major figured out.Thank you Ken for your patience and automotive service. “I have had horrible luck with mechanics. As a woman who isn't car-savvy, I can't help but feel like other mechanics take advantage of this and charge me for unnecessary repairs. I took my car in to Made in Japan late last year for a 2nd opinion on some extremely expensive repairs done by another mechanic (De Anza Auto Repair) that I had been told by other mechanics was not necessary. Luckily I spoke with Nicky (sic?), a fellow woman, who made me feel a lot better about the chunk of change I forked out. The techs did a general inspection of my car and it got a clean bill of health. The bill wasn't bad either for the inspection compared to De Anza Auto.Then the horrible winter storms happened in January and suddenly I found myself driving my car to Made in Japan with a leaking roof. They were fast, efficient, organized, communicative, and kind while working with me and my insurance to repair the water damage in my car's interior. They were reasonable with regard to cost - about half the cost of what I was paying at De Anza Auto. And then this morning (10/24) my car would not start. Nicky and a tech (I'm so sorry, I forgot his name) came to my apartment (!!!) to jump my car and they themselves drove my car to the shop so that I didn't have to deal with a tow truck. Throughout this ordeal they were communicative and explained what was going on to me in terms that I could understand. They quickly got my car back to me before the end of the work day. And THEN about 30 mins after picking up my car, it would not fully start in my grocery store parking lot. Nicky and another tech drove all the way from Made in Japan to my grocery store, after their work hours, to see what was going in with my car. They were able to figure it out and I was able to drive home without the same issue happening. They were so kind to me and didn't make me feel bad at all for coming all the way out to my neck of the woods.The professionalism, friendliness, efficiency, and kindness they have shown towards me has changed the way I view going to the mechanic. They aren't trying to rip me off, and I can tell through their actions. The fact they drove to my location TWICE in one day (my neighborhood is pretty far from the shop, too) is noteworthy and commendable. They actually care about their customers, unlike other auto shops. I highly, highly, HIGHLY recommend Made in Japan. Thank you, Nicky, Sean (sic?), and the technician team for treating me and your customers with respect always.”

“This marked my first visit to Mark's Transmission, now formally known as MTS Transmission, and I must admit, I've never had a better experience dealing with mechanics. Initially, I took my Jeep Wrangler to the dealership, where they proposed replacing the entire rear differential at a steep price. However, upon a recommendation, I visited MTS Transmission, and it turned out to be the best decision I could have made. Mark was exceptionally pleasant and patient. He took the time to inspect my Jeep thoroughly and provided a detailed explanation of the issue. Contrary to the dealership's recommendation, it was determined that my Jeep didn't require a full rear differential replacement, but rather just the rear differential carrier, along with the installation of new side bearings and rear axle bearings, which resulted in a much more reasonable overall cost. I will certainly return in the future. Many thanks to Mark and his team for their assistance and efforts in getting my Jeep back on the road.”

“My 2018 Mazda cx-5 battery was showing signs of wearing down (had to jump start once.) After my car warranty was over, I did not see any benefit in going to dealership and getting fleeced with exorbitant charges. Instead I went to Independence Car Service based on recommendation from a friend who has been going there for the past 15 years. I was not disappointed.They were very honest and transparent in their communication from the very beginning. I've seen other services recommending thousands of dollars of repairs after an inspection. The battery replacement was taken care of without any fuss. I also asked for a Tire rotation service and they let me know that I can do that for free at America's Tire since I bought my tires from them. I was pleasantly surprised at such honesty. “So I used to go the Lim Express which is right next to Pacific Lee Auto, so I knew of them. Well my car broke down this past Friday (day after Thanksgiving‍) and I had my AAA tow my car to Lim's. Called with no answer, but I noticed the Lim sign was gone. Didn't think about it so I left my car there in front of Pacific's with a note. Sunday evening I checked Google and found that Lims was PERMINENTLY CLOSED!!!! So I called and left a message for Pacific Lee. Monday morning, Mike of Pacific Lee Auto called me and confirmed that my regular mechanic closed down. And of course I asked if he could service my car and he said he would be happy to. My car was completely fixed with new, high quality parts, later that day for a very fair price.Since I wasn't able to pick up my car because I had to be in SF for surgery the next morning, I was able to pay him by Zelle. And he drove my car to my house (I live very close to the shop) and dropped it off so that it didn't have to stay there. GREAT attitude, knowledgeable and kind, honest.I'm a satisfied customer.
