“This is a very clean location with a wide variety of grocery needs. This store is very convenient for everyone who is exercising in the gym we operate. Keep up the good work ethic team Pavilions.”
“Gelsons supermarket is one of the most organized and fancy markets in Southern California. Excellent produce, Deli, Salad bar. All the regular daily needs plus more exotic funds. Their prices are typically more expensive than other markets. But besides the excellent quality and selection, they do offer better sevices like opening up more registers as soon as the available ones get busy.”
“Solid neighborhood Pavilions and one of the best grocery stores in the immediate area. I’d say it’s Bristol Farms > Pavilions > Gelson’s > Ralph’s in terms of overall quality, selection, and price.
The Ralph’s on 17th (the big one) is a solid market as well. Bristol is Bristol and a bit out of the way.
The Balboa Peninsula is always stocked with great produce (their produce standouts), solid butcher, nice deli, Startbucks and solid liquor department. Anything and everything you could want is readily available here. Not to mention, friendly staff that makes you feel like you’re at your local store every time you visit.
Summer is a zoo here but always in a fun way. Except for when the Vegas and Arizona spring breakers arrive. Disaster.”
“Great place to go for about anything from a small market. You don't see many markets around the water especially on the boardwalk. So it a very good place to go if you don't want to grab your keys and drive out to find a market . Just stay in your comfort zone and walk on in . Very convenient place to shop . Nicolas likes meeting all kinds of his furry friends to sniff , and bark at.”

“Beautiful store with customers bringing dogs inside. I told the managers and they said customers would get upset if they were told to take the dogs out. Dogs did not have guide dog harness. One dog went behind the bakery counter. This is a chronic problem, not an isolated incident.”
“I had a few rude experiences here. But I continued to shop here and they’ve made a huge turn around. Don’t know how or why. I have noticed different employees but I shop here at all different times so who knows. Now it’s my favorite grocery store.”
“One of the cleanest and best looking Whole Foods stores I've been too. Pricey, but you know what you're getting. Quality is pretty good when compared to other food markets around. Their ready-to-eat options priced per weight area a great way to have a tasty and varied lunch.”

“We enjoy our visits to Trader Joe’s with a few exceptions. If we go later in the day, everything seems quite picked over what we are able to find however is very nice. The restroom situation continues to be a nightmare. There are always long lines at the restrooms and they’re never clean. Really hoping that Trader Joe’s can do better.”
