We thought we had an impossible dog to groom because that is what almost every groomer has told us. Turns out, this is not true and Tiffy was able to groom him perfectly during the first visit. 4263 Birch St, Newport BeachI saw doctor Fanous for the first time yesterday with my dog who injured her leg. He's so very kind, calm, and gentle and we just loved him! Other vets have been somewhat nervous working with my bullmastiff mix because of her size, appearance, anxiety at the vet even though she's never tried to bite anyone(only barked) but they'd always ask me to muzzle her just in case. I came in with her muzzled, prepared for more of the same. Dr Fanous was the first one to ever ask me to take her muzzle off to let her be more comfortable and worked at her pace/comfort level with me there to keep her calmer/feeling safer instead of taking her to the back alone where she's more afraid. She always barked at her last vet when he'd walk in and he in particular seemed very afraid of her which just made her more nervous with him. She didn't bark once with Dr Fanous, was much less stressed around him, and was taking treats from his hand by the end of our visit! Even though it's a bit of a drive for me, he will definitely be our new vet from now on. It's so worth it! If you have a nervous, anxious, fearful, or giant dog that other vets aren't comfortable with, go to Dr Fanous!

Mariners Mile Pet Clinic
2630 Avon St, Newport BeachMy 55 pound dog Duke was very anxious for Nail cuttings (So is his Owner) I think he fed off my anxiety, but as soon as I got To Mariners mile, they soothed him. They got him to the back his nails were cut. He didn’t yippee he came out wagging his tail. I am so relieved. I have found Mariners mile and I will go there from here on. They were absolutely wonderful.

2670 San Miguel Dr, Newport BeachDr. Moto and the staff are wonderful. We had never used this Newport Hills, but they had Sunday hours and got our sick Cavapoo in right away. Dr. Moto was kind, thorough and excellent at explaining what he thought was going on and how we should proceed. Our dog does not usually (or ever) like strangers, but when I picked her up, she was happily in the arms of a tech. I could not be more grateful or impressed and will continue to use this animal hospital.

3720 Campus Dr suite d, Newport BeachThis is the face of a champion. At 18 years old, he is still going strong after an intensive surgery that removed his spleen, gallbladder, and part of his liver.
Dr. Kim, Alex the Manager, and their incredible team of veterinary technicians once again showed the boundless depth of their skill and compassion. A heartfelt shoutout to Ernesto, Chelsea, Omar for their support throughout the surgery. They cared for my boy with such steadfast dedication and also managed to somehow find time to comfort his very anxious hooman mom. If they had not acted as quickly as they did to move forward with surgery, my pup could have suffered a rupture that would have taken him from me.
They have given me something truly priceless. They have granted me more time with the dog who has been by my side for 17 years. I will treasure every moment of it, and I will forever be indebted to this incredible team. Thank you for returning my boy back to me.

For A Civilized Dog
20321 Riverside Dr, Newport BeachI am so glad I came across Cary and the team—Jaclyn, Sadi, and Dannielle! I had a very active puppy who needed a lot of training, and I had zero experience with a dog this young.
From my first conversation with Jaclyn, everything she said just clicked, and I knew this was the right place for my pup.
My pup spent 21 days in their board-and-train program, and I loved getting photos and updates almost daily. When we picked her up, my whole family was THRILLED seeing how much she had learned.
We also did four in-home sessions with Cary, and it’s been amazing to watch her continue to grow and improve. I plan on continuing with more training.
Our household is SO much better now that we have A Civilized Dog as part of our support team. Even when she goes for boarding or daycare, they’re still reinforcing her training every time.
I’m so happy to refer them to everyone! Feel free to reach out if you have any questions—you truly can’t go wrong.

20322 Riverside Dr, Newport BeachCan we give more than 5 stars? Tina is some sort of doggy angel. I dropped off my very very anxious puppy for a 3 day overnight stay while I was on a business trip. He had never stayed away and has separation anxiety. He was a challenge and they never made me feel bad, they would call me with updates and positive news and offered to work together to help getting him settled. I drop him off once or twice a week so he can get used to it. I've seen a HUGE improvement in just a couple of weeks. Big shout out to Nate as well who has been managing my little monster. Tina is full of love and knowledge, I've been a dog owner my entire life and already made a few changes based on her recommendation. THANK YOU Tina and Nate (and everyone else) for loving and helping our little furry baby.

20291 Riverside Dr, Newport BeachWe have been bringing our dogs there since 2015. They love Gary! We had one Lab and 2 Golden Retrievers who have found a second home there. Last month, we had to travel overseas for 3 weeks and were sad about leaving Teddy for so long. But Gary did a fantastic job to keep him busy and took him for walks regularly. At the end, he didn't even want to be paid for the extra activities. We strongly recommend Four Paws!

4263 Birch St suite b, Newport BeachIf I could give 10 stars, I would! Only Cremations is truly the best. This is the second animal they are providing services for. My cat Sam Sam was cremated in 2024, and my dog Lala this year. 2024 was the first time I ever lost an animal, and when I went to pick up Sam Sam's ashes, I just started crying out of joy. The packing was so beautifully done, and you could tell the way it was put together was done with thought and perfection. I didnt know what to expect. I had never done this before. I was touched. Fast forward to 2026, I was pretty confident they'd do a great job, but this round, I was even more in my feelings. After I picked up Lala's ashes, I had another crying session, this time in the car. I ordered a few extra items like her nose print and hair clippings so I was more than touched. Again, so much thought and detail in the presentation. Big shout out to Kayla for her professionalism, kindness, and patience with me during such a tough time. Thank you for what you do. You guys are the best!

The food was delicious, and the customer service was outstanding. Our waiter was friendly, attentive, and genuinely seemed passionate about his job.
I’m a tourist who decided to try this place, and I’m so glad I did. If I lived here, I would definitely be a regular and come back again and again. Highly recommend!

I’ll start with the service which was excellent - from the hostess (I believe it was Alexis?) who accommodating me calling an hour before on a Saturday night of a holiday weekend and then not only swapped us for a great table, to the peaceful ambience in there. You almost feel like you’re at your friends house but it’s extremely elegant, sophisticated and simple but homey! And of course the views, you feel like you’re outside but still get the warmth and ambience of being inside. All of the service was also extremely attentive- water as soon as we sat down, warm bread shortly after, our server (Frank- hope I remembered correctly) was very kind, helpful and assisted us in making great choices and making sure we were taking care of. He helped us to make a great wine selection for the evening. As well as the rest of the staff too! Food was excellent. We had the octopus which was wonderful, the citrus salad - so refreshing, delicious and balanced. I got the fish of the day which was halibut and my boyfriend got the filet, both were incredible. Dessert was the bread pudding and homemade ice cream which was melt in your mouth delicious. Portions could have been a bit more generous for the price but that’s Ok. Would absolutely come back next time we are up in Newport!

The seasoning on the chicken is unbelievable, perfectly balanced, full of flavor, and you can truly taste the quality and freshness in every bite. Every side dish was just as impressive and made with the same level of care and attention.
What really makes this place special is the owner, Fred, and the entire team. The service is outstanding, everyone is welcoming, friendly, and genuinely passionate about what they do. You can tell Fred takes pride in using fresh, high quality ingredients and preparing everything the right way.
Amazing atmosphere, amazing people, and even more amazing food. This is one of those rare places you keep coming back to because everything is done with excellence. Highly recommended.

As for the food, we were very happy with our selections which included the crispy asparagus, fish and chips, curry mussels and brussels sprouts. We were told that the fish and chips were rated as the best in Orange County and although we’re no fish and chips experts, the fish part was the best we have ever had. The chips were solid too but not special. The curry sauce on the mussels was fantastic. We would both order the brussels sprouts again but only one of us would order the asparagus. Overall, fantastic experience.

Majority of the staff speak French. They have stores in the same plaza that sell various French items and decor. As we love French food, this was quite an experience. Prices are up there but worth every penny. Coffee is delicious as well. Planning on coming back for more
