“I am a single woman who was 4 hours away from home and having car problems. I was searching for a mechanic on the internet for an area that i knew nothing about and where i only know 3 people and then God sent me to East Sacto Auto. I say God sent me because i couldnt have had a better experience. From the first phone call to when i left out of there with my car repaired, i had zero worries of being taken advantage of. The folks at this shop are above and beyond in every way. My car was with them for 3 hours and i got it back completely repaired and for a very reasonable price. On top of that they cleaned the inside, (it smelled amazing) and got all the film off my headlights so that they were looking brand new and worked so much better. And they topped off all my fluids. They really went above and beyond. I couldnt have been more pleased. They communicated constantly with me and they really made me feel like they cared about me, a complete stranger. The best part is now i have an amazing and reliable mechanic up here in Sac that my 23 year old can take her car. And thats a huge win for my mama heart. They really made my day. “2024 - I wanted to update my post - I have continued to go to Auto Express since my previous post, now having John and staff (Phil) service my 2015 Ford Escape at 90k miles. As usual, John was informative about not just service called for at this point, but also common sense care recommendations going forward now that our Escape is getting older. In addition to the plugs replacement, coolant flush, transmission flush and change, they also diagnosed the problem causing engine vibration - a failed motor mount. Continued 5 stars!
2016 - I have taken my 2002 Jetta and 2002 Ford F150 to Auto Express and have had a good experience both times. John and his staff are great, they are the real deal - no-nonsense car repair at a fair price. John's estimates were considerably less than those I received from other large and small shops. John takes the time to explain the issues. I'm glad to have found Auto Express.”
“It's a tiny bit more expensive than others, but they have many more services available, including smog. I was also in and out pretty quick, and the staff was very friendly and professional.
I also felt as though I could really trust them. I overheard another conversation about someone who brought in their car after going somewhere else. This could have been an opportunity to take advantage of him, but instead, they carefully documented everything, took pictures, explained everything, fixed they issues, and did not push for other services. I was impressed.”

“Great job from Scotty's. My car was having trouble starting. Went to an auto parts store and tested my battery, they said my alternator was bad. Went to Scotty's who ran a real diagnostic and the alternator was fine, it was the battery! (don't trust the parts store!) Got a new battery and they only charged me for the battery and install. Honesty like this is how you make loyal customers. They have all my business now. SHOP LOCAL!!”

“I took my Kia to Folsom Lake Kia where its gone for the past 5 years where I purchased it. A 2015 Kia Sedona w/ 132k miles on it. It overheated took it to Kia and they wanted $1250 to change the radiator and $238 for the diagnostic. Unfortunately it ended up being a cracked engine block, very, very upsetting. I purchased and engine and Danny's installed it for me. Had I paid Kia the money and it wasn't the radiator I would have been out an additional $1500 dollars. Being a female sometimes it is hard to trust auto shops but Danny's was highly recommended to me and I understand why. Danny's is Honest, Trustworthy, and Experienced! Mike, thank you for your honesty and incredible kindness. God Bless You!!! A Customer for Life!!”

“This place is fantastic. I called Mercedes because I was worried my car was overheating, it’s my first time owning a Mercedes. They wanted $300 dollars just to look at the car. I called A&B and the gentleman I spoke to was amazing. He wasn’t worried about charging me money, he was just worried about helping me. I wish I had taken his name down cause he deserves the credit, but he let me send him a picture of the temp gauge and told me it’s normal for Mercedes to run where I see the temp this time of year. He could have told me he needed to see the car first just to get that money for the diagnostic but instead he took time out of his day to sit with me on the phone, receive a picture from me, and put my mind at ease. Trust me when I say if the car stays this hot during the winter I’ll be taking my car here cause I know I can trust the service to be honest and fair. If you need your car worked on, hit these guys up they’re the real deal.”

I have been there several times before and I will go back. I was in and out in about 45 minutes. They explained everything to me. I used a coupon from the website as well.
