“Calling all herbalists, natural/organic, and bulk nuts, seeds, and teas lovers. The Food Mill is a literal heaven!! Wanna buy organic black beans, Medjool dates, gogi berries, butterscotch chips or dried lavender IN BULK? Come through! Everybody who works there is so helpful and welcoming. Their store-made crunchy peanut butter is also my kryptonite. Parking could use some work, but I usually have no problem snagging street parking. I am a stan.”
“I truly love this place. It is STUNNINGLY beautiful and always well stocked. For a place its size, it has such a large variety of goods. Also, I absolutely love the amount of local Bay Area brands they carry! The owners are always so helpful and they even sell their own homemade salsas (the green salsa is my absolute favorite)! 10/10 would recommend.”

“Love this location, lines move fast, all checkout lanes are usually open. Very helpful staff, and the store is organized in a way that makes sense. Items are stocked regularly. Parking can be difficult.”
“Sharif’s is my spot! And has been for as long as I’ve been living in West Oakland. My go to for my morning coffee, paper, drinks, fresh veggies and ice cream..and of course lil here-and-there’s like hot sauce, noodles, air freshener, TP, etc. Whole family who runs it are good folks, and they keep their store stocked and make sure they ask their customers what we need or would like to see them in keep in stock. They recently renovated/expanded the interior, and it looks awesome! Super spacious, more fridges, new slushy machines, and revamped fresh veggie section amongst other nice upgrades. Love these guys. Quintessential neighborhood corner market.”

“I came across this market one morning looking for some produce, and mostly come back for the customer service as overall stock is pretty limited. After dropping off my oldest daughter, my youngest and I will come by for a coffee and small treat and just enjoy watching people Chat at the tables out front. Such a sweet little environment.”

“Often encounter a Back-in10-minutes sign. Otherwise I like this shop - well-stocked and I feel safe in here - no unsavory types. Plus they have ATM machines, microwave and fresh coffee machine. Not common for downtown Oakland. I will keep coming here.”
“The overall quality is excellent. Items are very expensive cashiers and not friendly at all. They treat you as if you don't belong in the store... this has happened several times. Ignore them, pay, and leave.”
“Surprisingly good selection of both decadent and healthy treats 24/7. Nicely arranged, groovy stuff from around the world, with a deli coming soon. Really excellent selection of drinks, juices, etc. Sweet and savory items for all appetites. A stoner paradise. The folks that run the place are kind and helpful and super cool. What's not to love about picking up cereal and milk and chocolate, banaganoush, hinkis and pita bread at 4 am? So very few places in the East Bay are open in the wee hours when you need that very late night banquet. Most excellent on all respects.”
“New deli in the back called "O's Deli". Simple, fresh sandwiches. Open 6 days a week, Mon-Sat. Sandwiches aren't as good as the old Oak Knoll Deli ones but it's mostly stacking technique :p, I'm hopeful they'll get there. And it means the line is a lot shorter, no wait on a Monday afternoon.”
“For a corner store these guys have a good grasp of the preferred foods and brands people in the neighborhood want and they keep them well stocked. Prices are not unreasonable, they take EBT, and above all else are not just polite but actually friendly. They keep the place clean as well.”
“I was waltzing by here on a cloudy, fall day and the radiance of the produce section through the windows drew me in. After glancing around at the many options, I purchased probably the best mandarin orange of my life with a single 1 dollar bill (the mandarin itself was 89¢). I consider myself to be something of an orange connoisseur, but even I don't find myself regularly making an impulse orange purchase. Something about this market is magical, and I will be sure to return next time I find myself in the neighborhood!”
“Changed ownership, always been a one stop shop. They have everything you need. You can call in orders for food for pickup, Gub Hub , Door Dash etc. Hamburgers, chicken, french fries, cakes, all type of desserts, pies, fish, oysters, okra, chicken sandwiches, barbecue and more. Things to do with your car oil transmission fluid bulbs dapper frozen food section. They have a veggie section, deep freezer section. Thanks for party toys, medicine.”
“This rating is for the taco tent that has great tacos and burritos they are there working hard mostly Tuesday thru Sunday from 5 to 9 I think they serve pastore , chicken, carne asada, rice ,beans , and all the condiments and you can call in your order for pick up so stop on by its on the corner in 7 amigos market parking lot”

“I've been lucky enough to live near this place since it opened. They're one of the best things that could have happened to this neighborhood. Friendly owners who know everyone around (like everyone--they even know which houses we all live in) reasonable prices, and a fine selection of Mexican and American staples. They'll even give credit every now and then (but only to regulars, of course).”
