“Very friendly service and a pretty good variety considering the extremely small space they have. Convenient for grabbing a few groceries for the room while staying in Olympic Village.”

“There’s a deli in the back that has the best sandwiches, sushi, and salads! If you’re looking for a quick and healthy snack to grab before a trip to the lake this is my favorite spot! They also have benches outside to relax amongst the trees ?”

“Awesome workers here...No, Truckee is an expensive place to live. And shopping is tough especially when you compare it to Reno. But I stop in here once in a while to see if they have any good deals. Today I stopped in to see if they had any five dozen eggs because the wife wanted me to bring eggs home.According to one of the assistant managers, they have a shortage of dairy products and though they have quite a few different types of eggs, there were no 60 packs. Right now the five dozen are $8.99. After leaving, I saw that they had just received a huge shipment and there was a large semi truck parked in the parking lot unloading tons of pallets. So I called back and the girl who answered the phone was extremely nice and went to check and see if they did in fact get some eggs in their delivery.Very nice and courteous. Greeted with a smile. Good phone etiquette. I recommend it”

“My girlfriend and I were driving over to Squaw from south lake, when her car let us know that we were very low on coolant. The alerts continued so we pulled over to take a look. A mustached guy on a killer Harley pulled over and offered to help us out if we followed him down to Obexer's. After looking at their website I believe it was Moe. Sure enough he topped off our coolant and wouldn't even accept a few bucks. Now I don't own a boat but if I ever do, that's the type of dude I would want helping me out. Genuine as can be, great to see that there are still people like that out there. Moe I owe you a beer!”

“We had an AMAZING experience at West Shore Market. It was the best meal we had while in Tahoe City and the best pastrami I’ve ever had. We got the Pastrami Sandwich and the Smoked Mozzarella Pasta Salad. Both were DELICIOUS and even with splitting both we had more than enough food. Highly recommend!”

“Delicious little deli! Stopped in for a quick lunch and we were pleasantly surprised with the high quality ingredients and tasty meals. I had the shrimp spring roll and it was delicious, it comes with the best peanut sauce you will ever have. We will be back!”

“Nice store with everything being available. Also the store employees are very helpful. We tried their pizza and it was awesome. It was better than all the major pizza stores, so even if you don't want to buy anything, just go there and try their pizza and sandwiches. This store has everything of your needs, pretty much everything. So if you are traveling from South lake Tahoe to North, this is a good place. It's just 25 mins from places like Palisades Tahoe”

“Always love a stop at this olive oil shop. Friendly and knowledgeable service with recommendations on pairings. I always find myself going home with a new flavor balsamic vinegar and olive oils, while stocking up on my staples like arbequina. Love the tastings here. Definitely a stop not to be missed in the quaint and lovely Truckee.”

“Thank you, Rolando, Chelsea, and everyone for helping us when we run out of eggs and energy and need a kind word and a lot more caffeine. We appreciate your team so much. Thanks for being such great neighbours to our small business.”

“Pretty expensive but good quality stuff. Right on the lake. Convenient. Sell sandwiches and liquor. Gotta pay the prices to keep them in the neighborhood. I'll pay every so often to keep them around. It's a lot closer to Norden than Truckee!”

“What a wonderful store! Anything you need, they have. Whatever dietary restriction you may have any gluten-free, dairy free, they accommodate an offer options for all. They are very conscientious and thorough in their selections and meet all means! The deli will even make gluten-free sandwiches. What a dream!”

“Sure there is a Safeway and a Raley’s close by, but sometimes you just don’t want to get in the car. Very convenient location. I think we went twice a day while staying here! They have a lot of items that fit several diets. I am wheat, soy and peanut free (minimal dairy) and they had plenty of things I could buy there. The iced chai latte with almond milk is delicious. My husband ordered an iced mocha everyday! He doesn’t drink coffee but once a month - maybe! I tried a sip, hands down best mocha I’ve had. My husband and friend had breakfast there one day and they said it was also really good.Prices are what you would expect for a specialty market in a resort village. I don’t mind paying extra considering how convenient it is - and how good the drinks are! *I also shop at Whole Foods - so I wasn’t in price shock.Dee and Sarah and very friendly!”

“Great store, beats fighting through safeway with angry soccer moms... And way better prices. Also, please take a look at all the people who leave one star reviews. Most of them only leave one star reviews for any place they review. some people.....”

“Great selection of groceries! Staff are friendly and nice. However the store is pretty dirty. I also noticed two staff that should of been restocking were talking and having a good time laughing for a long time.”

“I could honestly see many folks giving this Safeway one star, but I'm giving it four and I'll two you why: service under pressure. This place gets absolutely bombarded with folks, both tourists and locals all times of the year. It isn't uncommon to struggle to find a parking space, and the lines can become exceedingly long. While I know this can be very frustrating, you also have to understand how hard the people in this store are working to keep everything up and running.”

“We had a large purchase and Adam had so much patience, enthusiasm and was so kind. We could not stop talking about how amazing his customer service was on our way home. The young lady who bagged our groceries with Adam was so friendly. We will ONLY go to Adam’s line. Five stars is not enough!!!!!”

“Safeway located in Truckee, CA is a good spot to Go if you'll need some grocery's when staying near North side Lake Tahoe area, they mostly have everything you'll need from Vegetable's, Fruits, Water, Adult beverages like Beer, Wine, and Liquor etc and frozen goods like Tv Dinners. One thing that I don't suggest is buying their steaks here it's very high in price (IMO) I wanted to get RIB EYE steaks And it was price so high like two steak slabs for $50-$60 dollars, I'd rather drive up to COSTCO at RENO (30 min drive) and grab their RIB EYE STEAKS there way cheaper and I'd say better quality and quantity. Parking - Don't have too worry about parking lots of parking space so it's a plus (I seen on other Yelp reviews that people had a difficult time with parking space owners who had Big trailers) One thing I wish they could do better is if a staff member could organize the checkout lines with a better System (there's some customers who think their right when forming a ling like ohh line supposedly be form this way that way etc.) LIKE CMON Also don't forget bring your grocery bag if can cause if not then it's 10 cents a bag for your grocery's”
