“I haven’t felt a warm vibe in every shop on Piedmont and vintage stores can be kind of snobby sometimes but I’m happy to say that that frigidaire environment has NOT been my experience at Sunshine Prophecy. The vibe is super warm and inviting; There is ALWAYS good music playing; The employees there are always very patient with any of my (often MANY haha) questions; — AND I’ve never felt pressure to buy anything if I wasn’t ready. — That is especially important to me bc in order to budget I purposely do LONG leads on items I’m interested in. I might stop in once or twice and ask questions/do price checks before I finally treat myself and they always treat me like a paid customer. Clothes, jewelry, purses are cute. LOVE their witchy candles, herbs, and TAROT CARDS. It seems like the owner of this store had more of a “creative calling ” then just a bottom line in starting this business.”

It’s my go to spot now. Their selection is fantastic, offering a wide range of high-quality options for all occasions. The owner is incredibly friendly and welcoming, and Sonu is super helpful—both really go out of their way to style you for the events you're shopping for. I was able to get several outfits for my brother's wedding and my best friend's wedding within a day, and every piece was unique and beautiful. They even tailored everything, and the fit was perfect. One blouse needed to be fixed again and they were so kind and quick about it. They truly care that their clients are well taken care of. The prices reflect the quality you’re getting—well worth it! I also found gorgeous matching jewelry to complete my looks that the owner hand selected and was patient while I figured out what I liked best. My husband got three outfits and couldn’t be more excited to have high-quality Indian clothes, from a hassle free, fast, and easy shopping experience. I found a pair of denim that was perfect for me and my first pair of selvedge! In love with the fit -- definitely trust Julie to help you find a size that works. Maybe due to modern vanity sizing, but I had to go 2-3 sizes down from my normal denim. I'll be back for repairs for my well-loved pairs :)”

I appreciated how the store owner allowed me to pair and match various baskets even though they were filled with inventory. I was able to pick up last-minute Christmas presents from Nepal, Kenya and India. If you are looking to add more color or geometric designs to your household, there's a drool-worthy section of constellation-inspired houseware (like salt cellars with stars on them) and beautiful basket planters all over the shop.”

“Ruby and Zinzee (sorry about the spelling!) are both so friendly and personable. I love this shop - jewelery and clothing. There are hijabs or head wraps, mugs, and journals, and if you'd like to try anything on, there are dressing rooms in the back. I purchased a beautiful, tall mug that was design by an artist in Sacramento. It's such a unique shop and I had no idea but they've been here for over 20 years, or was it 30? How rare is that? They're family owned, too. Come check it out! When I mentioned that the mug (beautiful women of color all around the mug) will be a gift, for a friend, they placed it in a pretty gift bag and put colored tissue paper in there! It's ready to gift to her now! Perfect. They get merchandise that come in, so come check them out once in a while. They have a sale rack in the back to the right. There are jeans, dresses, tops, purses, small backpacks, hats, etc. Go check them out!”

“I saw Lesley Evers clothing in my Facebook feed and was drawn to the colors and prints. It took me over a year to get here. I love the fact the clothes are designed in USA. There are so many cute items with fabulous colors. They are well made and good quality fabrics. The prices are very reasonable particularly considering they are made in the USA and not cheaply made in China. The sales clerk was very friendly and helpful. She was knowledgeable about the stock and sizes. Even my daughter saw sweaters she would wear. We will be back.”

“A lovely and well curated little shop in Albany. Just steps from Solano Ave but easy to miss on a side street, this place is a delight. They have ceramics, incense, jewelry, perfumes, body wash, cards, small gifts. I think I saw granola, olive oil and a few cookbooks. They also have a good selection of gently used clothes, shoes, and bags. Kind people behind the counter. Just a wonderful place all round. I hope this store stays for a long time to come!”
