The atmosphere was calm compared to other VCA facilities I have been in and the Dr.Horwitz was awesome with our patient and my small human who loves that hamster. She came highly recommended by another vet in the valley as well. Here she is taking her meds happily.

We've been taking Roxy (our Mastiff mix) to DDO for about two years now for daycare 3x per week and boarding services as needed. Aside from the socialization Roxy gets while at DDO, there's a peace of mind that comes with knowing she's in an environment staffed by caring, kind, and attentive staff. In addition to being great, proactive communicators -- and super-responsive when we have inquiries -- the owner and entire of Doggie's Day Out of Palm Springs family, set a very high bar for professionalism and courtesy.

Great Shakes
160 South Palm Canyon Dr A, Palm SpringsThe Baseline: The Ice Cream/Gelato Baseline consists of having quality dairy product, variety of flavors/mix-ins, and serving quantity for the price.
Food: They are shakes and they are good. They are sweet because ice cream, fruit, peanut butter, chocolate, etc. It’s friggin’ sugar! It is also hot in Palm Springs and ice cream shakes really hit the spot. The shakes rate 4 to 5 out of 5 so you will not go wrong here. We got a few Date Shakes and they are open later than Shields Date farm so if you need a date shake fix. I recommend Great Shakes.
Service: They are an order-to-fixing-to-serving machine at Great Shakes. Efficient and polite service.
Ambiance: In July heat the only ambiance i wanted was air conditioning and they have it. The fact it was old Palm Springs-Rat Pack-1950/60s decor was the cherry on top (pun intended).

It truly did not disappoint and the gelato was DELICIOUS. i had a guest go back for 5 servings. Communication was also amazing and they were such sweet vendors to work with. Everyone loved the dessert after dinner and we can't wait to visit again when we're in Palm Springs. Thank you!!!
