$5 Pizza Place
282 Old Woman Springs Road, Yucca ValleyGreat place, was run by one man. He had handled multiple orders at a time by himself, so there was a small wait for my pizza. But the vibes were fun and the locals were welcoming.

Yucca Valley Outpost Café
55231 29 Palms Hwy, Yucca ValleyThe chili was perfect for a cold day in February. I would describe the base a a brown vegan roux. Maybe it’s the starch released from the beans that gave it an earthy flavor versus using tomatoes as a base. We added a little hot sauce, corn chips and cheese! Call ahead to verify they are open. Staffing issues have caused them to close one day. It’s dine outside only.

ASTRO BOBA - Teas and Poke
57562 29 Palms Hwy, Yucca ValleyMy new favorite meal. It's so filling, and the choices to make your bowl, for a newbie to Poke Bowls it's outstanding.

La Copine
848 Old Woman Springs Rd, Yucca ValleyI really wanted to love this place because I read the reviews and passed it many times unable to get a table. But unfortunately it did not live up to the hype.
Pros
– Warm, attentive service
– Relaxed, charming high-desert atmosphere
– Seasonal, creative menu
Cons
– Popular spot, so it can get busy
- The wine list is odd - quite a few interesting choices that push you out of your comfort zone into trying something new but I would also expect some reliable classics like a Sauvignon Blanc for example
- The cocktail I had was sour (I expected an aromatic fruity fragrant cocktail based on it ingredients which included passion fruit)
- The food was creative and bold and definitely a class above everything else available in the area but the flavors were way too strong as if the chef was trying too hard to prove themselves: the rice was burnt to the point where the bitterness of the burnt rice was all I could taste; the fried eggplant was impossible to eat - just bland, greasy tasteless deep fried vegetable with a sweet tomato sauce that did not add anything to it; the poutine was nice but overly salty; the steak tasted as if it was fried - not grilled - and served with an Asian sauce that was just wrong. So disappointing.

Western Diner Yucca Valley
56098 29 Palms Hwy, Yucca ValleyWe stopped here for breakfast after spending a night at Spark. Delicious! The breakfast burrito on the specials menu was absolutely delicious! I hope my pictures do it justice.
I ordered a breakfast Monte Cristo but I think maybe I was served a Montewaffle since everything was served on waffles. It was yummy! I think the only thing I'd add is heavier maple syrup inside or a strawberry sauce to help lift the dense waffle softness - or a sugared waffle, but honestly. Super yummy. I added plenty of shots to show you how amazing the presentation was, too! :)
The menu was extensive and if I came through here again, I'd stop and try other options as well.
Service was friendly, attentive, and great. Happy that we had a chance to stop in and try it on our way through. :)
Thanks for a nice breakfast experience.

Snake Bite Roadhouse
55405 29 Palms Hwy, Yucca ValleyGave Snakebite a try for the first time on our way to the park for the evening and everything was amazing. We sat in the diner and had Tabby as our server. She gave the best service, was very upbeat, and she recommendations were great. We had the chips & queso, garden pasta, Snakebite burger, and ended with the carrot cake. It was so awesome we will be back in tonight before leaving town and hopefully she's there to take care of us again.

Frontier Café
55844 29 Palms Hwy, Yucca ValleyHonestly, I walked into the place, not very excited. The menu wasn't calling to me. I didn't really want a breakfast sandwich. I wanted typical eggs. But I settled (the wife was game) and so in we went. First off, the coffee was an A. But then, the breakfast sandwich was even better. Seriously, best breakfast sandwich of my life.
Give this place a shot!
(Everyone was super friendly, also).

SoCal Schnauzers
56925 Yucca Trail PMB 109, Yucca ValleyI cannot say enough about this breeder. I got my little guy from Noel. He is now 9 months old and is easy to train, absolutely adorable and so smart. He doesn't have any bad habits. He doesn't bark when the doorbell rings, actually hardly barks at all. He's never met a stranger and plays with dogs of all sizes. Very energetic, but also lays low if we are. He is super easy going, snuggly and really funny. I will only buy from these breeders again. I have had many wonderful dogs, but this guy is something special. Thank you for all you do!
