“The produce is great. So is their customer service. I have a allergy to Turkey and every time we go to the deli they have had no problem cleaning off the slicer to make sure there will be no issues. In fact one time one of the ladies recognized me and remembered. Before I got to order she double checking if I was the person who had the allergy. It felt great to know that they are taking note of that kind of issues. Today when I went it one of the cashiers not just remembered me but remembered my name. Update: This place is fantastic.”

“They are so awesome here. Best people ever. I've lived near here for 10 yrs and never ever had one problem here. They try so hard to please their customers. Greet you like a lost cousin. It's close to home. Walking 7min.. So we walk here sometimes. If we are short change they let us slide. We always pay back what we owe. It's small, convenient and have about everything you're looking for. I'm glad they are here. More the people then the store. Anyone can have a store it's who's inside that makes us come back. Parking is ok. Never really had to search for parking. The people haven't changed much like different workers. They all have been nice and cool with us. I'm glad to support my store when we can. “Hello, I had a potentially negative experience turned into a positive experience by the manager, Joanne. I arrived at 7:30 for the Thursday special. There was already another customer in front of me getting the same thing. I waited patiently but when it was my turn, the employee, Lino, told me they were understaffed today, and they ran out of ingredients, so they had to close early, and he couldn't serve me. He said they usually close the food area at 8, but they had to close early for the reasons stated. I told him I still wanted at least drinks, and I asked if I could have some sort of discount since I came just for the Thursday special, and I arrived on time. He said he couldn't do that, so I asked to speak to the manager. He sent me to the front desk because he didn't have a phone in his area. Joanne, the manager, helped me. I told her I understood they might not be able to serve me the special, but I asked if she could at least give me a small discount on the drinks for my trouble. She was very accommodating, and she was happy to give me a discount (the Thursday special comes with a discounted drink). She walked me over to the aguas frescas where Lino was waiting to tell us that he was able to get the ingredients to make me the Thursday special. I thanked Joanne, and she said that she was happy to help and to please talk to her if I ever have any problem. While Lino was preparing the food, she asked me what drinks I wanted, and she put on gloves and a hair net to get me my drinks. Joanne was very hands on and helpful. I appreciate her assistance very much.”

The Cincinnati-based supermarket giant will open about 110 new stores in fast-growing markets by 2029 and introduce three updated store formats, executives told investors Oct. 20 at the company’s Investor Update in New York. Kroger already runs about 2,700 stores in 35 states. The formats come in three sizes, a bit like small, medium and large, matched to each market. Mary Ellen Adcock, Kroger’s executive vice president and chief merchant and marketing officer, walked through the lineup.
Walmart shoppers want a head start on the holidays, and money explains a lot of it. Some 44% of respondents call affording the holidays their top stressor, and 61% say holiday costs shape their shopping mood. Asked what would make the season easier, 70% picked lower prices and 57% picked more deals and promotions. Convenience ranks lower: 30% want one-stop shopping across categories, and 20% want faster delivery.
Walmart wants your groceries at the door before the ice cream softens. On May 29, the retailer said its 30-minute-or-less delivery had reached 33 U.S. markets, adding a wave of new cities across the Northeast. Shoppers in those areas can order from more than 100,000 items, everything from fresh produce and baby formula to pet food, electronics, cold medicine, and prescriptions. Behind the scenes, the service leans on Walmart's store network and an algorithm that factors in order size, available drivers, and distance from the store.
Trader Joe's keeps adding stores, and shoppers keep showing up. The California grocer has marked nine more locations as "opening soon," pushing its expansion into new corners of the country. The grocer also took first place in the American Customer Satisfaction Index's 2026 supermarket rankings. It has held a spot near the top of that list for years.
Target is rolling out its most ambitious store overhaul in more than ten years, with plans to remodel over 130 locations and open 30 new stores across the country this year. The retailer is also putting money into supply chain technology upgrades to keep pace with how shoppers buy today.
