“I love Nordstrom, their customer service is top notch. I wish they hadn’t closed so many of them during the pandemic the closest one to me is in Brea. I usually will order things online and have them delivered to the store. They are always so courteous, helpful. Last year I purchased my daughter’s prom dress and they were able to fit her in the same day I bought the dress for a seamstress to hem the dress (my daughter is only 5’1”). She did a fantastic job and my daughter LOVED the dress. I will be a Nordstrom customer for life!”

“I was on my way to work and wanted to stop by here to pick up a new men’s cologne since my old one had just ran out. Most of these department type stores have the checkout area just scattered throughout the store instead of just one universal location. I was in a rush and was thinking I would have to wait in line and find a checkout area, but an employee approached me and asked me if I needed help right away. I was able to tell them what I wanted and check out promptly. Some places you have to go find help, but I was greeted and helped promptly. Got to work on time and my new cologne. Highly recommend this location.”

The Cincinnati-based supermarket giant will open about 110 new stores in fast-growing markets by 2029 and introduce three updated store formats, executives told investors Oct. 20 at the company’s Investor Update in New York. Kroger already runs about 2,700 stores in 35 states. The formats come in three sizes, a bit like small, medium and large, matched to each market. Mary Ellen Adcock, Kroger’s executive vice president and chief merchant and marketing officer, walked through the lineup.
Walmart shoppers want a head start on the holidays, and money explains a lot of it. Some 44% of respondents call affording the holidays their top stressor, and 61% say holiday costs shape their shopping mood. Asked what would make the season easier, 70% picked lower prices and 57% picked more deals and promotions. Convenience ranks lower: 30% want one-stop shopping across categories, and 20% want faster delivery.
