“I went in the Navy Federal Credit Union at 200 Catalina Blvd San Diego to open an account on 12/20/2019. My father was an enlisted man and was honorably discharged in 1956. I had his DD Form 214 in hand to show proof that my father was in the Navy. I was met by very friendly receptionist who gave me a packet to review. Within two minutes, Symphonie, the teller took me back to an office. Symphonie was very personable, pleasant, and very knowledgeable about the credit union. Within 20 minutes, I had an account opened with a debit card in hand! So far, NFCU beats any bank in town. You couldn't have a better location over looking the Pacific Ocean and parking was a breeze. If you are able to join, I would definitely recommend Navy Federal Credit Union.”

Maureen is the best!I'm a few months late writing this review and still writing one because Maureen definitely deserves ALL the 5 star reviews.I came to Maureen after working with another mortgage broker. After being told some strange things and being told the home we wanted would be complicated, I had a gut feeling I should fact check my original broker and called Maureen just to get another lender's opinion. She confirmed that the things I was told just weren't adding up and took the time to go over some things with me, even though I was already working with someone else!! Anyone else might see me as a waste of time because I was already with another broker! Well, after talking with her, I knew I had to transfer to her and sign the papers with Maureen to work with her. She just immediately gave me the confidence I needed as a first time home buyer. Trust me, and she'll tell you herself, when she needs answers from others (getting answers was a timely and annoying thing for me prior to Maureen), she will get what she needs to get things done. And she'll get them QUICK and update you immediately. GREAT communication.She even helped me get a lower rate and told me the rates I was getting quoted before were much higher than they should have been. “In June of 2023 my husband was working in Korea while our kids and I were living in Washington state. We were faced with an extremely tight timeline in which to find and buy a home in Maryland; hoping to have keys in hand by mid/late August. She also was great at communicating directly with our realtor as needed as well. Merry was so patient and willing to explain (often more than once) answers to any questions we posed. She helped us gameplan a realistic price range to stick to that would allow us to meet our long term monthly budget. Her confident professionalism and wealth of knowledge and experience put my mind at ease. I could fully trust in her ability to complete her job without feeling the need to ‘keep tabs’ on her progress. She and her company were able to process all paperwork virtually and complete everything in a shorter timeframe than typically offered by lenders- which was essential for procuring our home in time. “I've used Windvest to fund 3 projects as of the writing of this review. Each time the level of customer service was beyond expectation. They work quickly and make it very easy to do business with them.Our first transaction with them was for a small (14 unit) apartment complex in Tennessee.
