“I have been with Wheelhouse Credit Union (formerly San Diego Metropolitan CU) for over 20 years and I have not had any of those issues of what those others have experienced. I have taken out 2 car loans in the past and they have been automatically deducted from my account, the fees for any special transactions have been mailed to my home and tellers have cleared informed me the fees before I did the special transaction. The staff have been friendly and respectful when I come into the branch. I do not see any reason to move my money from this institution. I am sorry to hear that others have had a bad experience, which I cannot help them since I do not work for the credit union. I hope this post helps those future customers.”

“The staff are very friendly and accommodating. I use a mobility scooter. Unfortunately, it is too big for the little elevator that they have for wheelchairs. I only have to go down 4 steps. Again, the staff are friendly. The location works too, and it has a walk-up ATM.”

“I had to stop by and drop off a personal loan payment. Security was professionally nice. Wait was not bad. Clean Credit Union location. Everyone was extremely nice. I was greeted and helped by teller Edwin. He helped me with my payment transaction. Since this was my very first payment. He walked me through the steps to do my future payments. He also wrote everything down for me. I was blown away because he took the time to do that for me. He didn't have to. But he did. To insure I do it right. You don't see that time of customer service situations anymore. Please give Edwin kudos. He was professional and polite. And is an asset to this location! “I went in the Navy Federal Credit Union at 200 Catalina Blvd San Diego to open an account on 12/20/2019. My father was an enlisted man and was honorably discharged in 1956. I had his DD Form 214 in hand to show proof that my father was in the Navy. I was met by very friendly receptionist who gave me a packet to review. Within two minutes, Symphonie, the teller took me back to an office. Symphonie was very personable, pleasant, and very knowledgeable about the credit union. Within 20 minutes, I had an account opened with a debit card in hand! So far, NFCU beats any bank in town. You couldn't have a better location over looking the Pacific Ocean and parking was a breeze. If you are able to join, I would definitely recommend Navy Federal Credit Union.”
