“Great hotel. The rooms are very big and there's a kitchenette. The breakfast is nice, the ladies keep everything organized and tidy.The location is great because you're not so far from the south Bay beaches and the area is pretty quite (besides the traffic) and safe.The Del Amo mall is very close, you can easily walk there.”

“My wife and I stayed for a couple of nights and we had a very enjoyable experience. We were greeted with a smile at the front desk and efficiently checked into our room. The room itself was quite nice - sort of a mini suite with a kitchenette. The bed was comfortable and most of all it was quiet which was a pleasant surprise given the hotel is immediately adjacent to Pacific Coast Highway.Underground parking was plentiful and easy to get in and out of. Breakfast was very good with plenty of options in the self service buffet. We enjoyed eating in the courtyard and I appreciated the sugar free pancake syrup that was at the table.The unlimited Starbucks coffee was a nice plus and my wife really enjoyed the nice selection of teas, both of which were available all day.The location of the hotel is very convenient for the South Bay cities. Close to the Manhattan Village shopping center and not far from the beach.We would definitely recommend this hotel if you want a quiet comfortable place to stay in the South Bay for a reasonable price.”

“My wife and I checked in after flying across the country and shopping for several hours. We were very impressed with the service at check in and the room and beds were amazingly comfortable! H2O may cost a little bit more but it’s so worth it in every way. We slept for over 15 hours and they kindly gave us a late checkout which is just what we needed. Location is awesome and the service and rooms are 5 plus stars!”
“This spot is luxurious, while also being super chill. The employees are super sweet and welcoming, and the location is unbeatable. It was the coolest room I've ever stayed in! And an excellent restaurant (Zinc) on the first floor. Sweet spot for brunch!”

“This Best Western is the true embodiment of a 2-star hotel. When we arrived, the room we were given was not clean and had some type of bodily fluid stain on the sheets. I did not sleep on the bed.The next morning I went down, in person, during breakfast to request a room cleaning and fresh sheets. They assured me that the cleaning team was scheduled to arrive in an hour. When I returned late that evening, the room was still unclean with the same nasty sheets and dirty towels.We will not be returning to this location or to any other Best Western. We're disgusted.Noteworthy details: Waffles at breakfast are nice”

“We stayed at Anchor Pointe Inn twice, before and after our recent Hawaii cruise. The rooms were extremely clean, had good wifi, tv and mini fridge. The bed was quite comfortable, the bathroom was roomy, and the staff was very friendly and quick to respond when we had questions. The only issue we had was that the restaurants in the neighborhood close early on Sunday evening, so get food early if you stay Sunday night.”

“We are in town to visit family and stayed here for 3 nights. We enjoyed the central location and the breakfast. Parking was a bit tight, but we didn't use the parking garage, which would have made things easier. The entrance has quite a deep dip when exiting, so take it slow if your car is low.”

“Excellent location right in the heart of Hermosa Beach. The rooms are very clean and the staff very nice. Breakfast was good. The only complaint was at the AC units are loud and make it tough to sleep at night.Rooms: Rooms seem to have been just remodeled and are very clean.Nearby activities: The Hermosa Beach Comedy and Magic club is just under a mile away.Walkability: Only a mile walk to the Hermosa Beach pier”

“Stayed here the night before a cruise. Purchased the package for a night stay and parking while on the cruise, it was a really good deal and felt my car was a bit safer than being parked in the cruise parking area. The room was spacious and clean. Altho the fwy is very close we were not affected by traffic noise and got a good night sleep.”

“We went for lunch the day after Valentine's Day. There are a lot of tempting choices but we settled on Mr. Franks chicken salad. Our waiter and Mr. Franks advised us it was special and not very spicy. Well it was fantastic. The chicken was very crispy and not spicy at all. We had Mumm's Cuvée Napa Brut to top off our lunch. We go way back with Mr. Franks from his days at Chez Melange and he spent time with us which we loved.”

Looks a bit rough outside too, but my room was super clean, 2 huge beds, 2 tvs. Honestly, I wasn't expecting it to be as nice as it was on the inside. Super friendly front desk staff. Checked me in early. Would stay again.Rooms: Very clean. Looks newly remodeled. Beds were new. We inspect for bed bugs before settling in and everything checked out.Nearby activities: City is very close by. Beach is a short drive away.Safety: So far, I feel safe.Walkability: Anything is walkable if you're brave enough, that being said.... you probably want a car. There's places to go over here, but it's shopping, running errands, restaurants, liquor stores, dollar stores etc....Food & drinks: A lot of mexican restaurants and a lot of liquor stores and bars.”

“Room is spacious and clean. Kitchen has items you need to prep basic meals. There is considerable noise from upstairs if you are in a ground level unit. Beds are uncomfortably firm. Staff is friendly and efficient. breakfast is included but I didnt try it. Target is very nearby for supplies and there are lots of good places to eat in the area.”
“You're 100% paying for the location and nothing else. Great location, but otherwise everything is mediocre. Pretty large gap from the doors to the ground, which made it relatively noisey for an otherwise quiet place.”

“We were in town to visit folks who live in Lawndale, and this was a really good place to stay that was convenient to them, as well as the beaches of LA (Manhattan Beach was about 15 minutes away, and Venice Beach was probably 20 minutes, same with Redondo Beach). The hotel is conveniently located at a main interesection (Hawthorne & Marine). Lots of dining options very nearby. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The breakfast every morning was pretty good. Lots of options (always hot eggs & sausage & potato fries, as well as fresh waffles, toast, muffins, oatmeal, fruit, yogurt, etc....). For future visits, this would be our first choice of a hotel to stay at.”

“The room was nice. I would have liked for the outter blinds to close. So my room could be darker when I slept. When I checked in Daniel was at the front desk. He told me breakfast was 7am-10am. I even asked again in the evening. But when I went down for breakfast the next day the chalkboard said 9am. He also told me I could ask for Late check out Monday. But when I asked the front desk lady, she said we're not offering late check out today. The information given is Very inconsistent an that is Annoying. Plus during check-out, he couldn't print out my receipt. But only could do a print out of me being charged for parking. *Honestly I don't see why we have to Pay to park our cars. We have already Paid for our hotel stay. More variety in Free Breakfast would be nice as well.”

“Offers weekly stays with clean friendly environment. The surrounding community has a small town feel an artistic culture. The local restaurants are almost like museums. Lots of dining options and local attractions. If your vacationing on a budget this is a great option. I wouldn't call this a hotel it's more like a small town inn. This is a great place to stay if your getting work done on your home.”
“I just had a wonderful stay at this fantastic and tastefully decorated hotel!The hotel is located in a quiet part of the Marina, very close to a many things to do and good places to eat. My wife and I did the bike ride along the beach. I highly recommend The Portifino. Also, booking the Oceanside room was worth it!”
