“Enough can’t be said about this place. My wife and I were recently on a camping trip to Lassen when my truck starting having A/C issues and a burning smell coming though the vents while towing. We only had a limited amount of time as our check out time was on Wednesday morning from the rv park. I visited Jefferson State Diesel first thing on a Monday morning and met with Austin. I told him our situation and he came out to get all the info off the truck with me. He was extremely professional and down to earth. You can tell immediately he has a great knowledge of diesel trucks. Austin asked several questions to get an idea of what may be happening and told me they would try to get it figured out for us ASAP. We left back up to the park with our family and within 2 hours, Austin had reached out to me with the news. To sum it up, I was lucky to have made it to the shop as the compressor was seizing up and the fan clutch was failing. My truck is about 20 years old and the A/C system was starting to deteriorate. They basically had to replace most of tubes and manifolds as a result as well. In one days time, they got all of this diagnosed, replaced, tested and back on the road. Saved me from having to get a rental and changing my travel plans. The owner Jeremy even inspected it all before he pulled the truck around for me and the truck is still working great! The fact that they were able to do all this on such short notice and the quality of their work just stands out above other shops. I know they took my limited time into consideration as they had lots of other trucks in the shop. I can’t thank them enough and would highly recommend anyone to bring their vehicles here.

And most importantly, at no time during any part of this process did I feel pressured, deceived, manipulated… you know, all that stuff we worry about when we're thinking about stepping onto a car lot.

“I cannot recommend MDR Automotive enough! My family and I were camping at Lassen Volcanic National Park to escape the wildfire smoke back home in Oregon when our Jeep completely broke down. We were stranded five hours from home, incredibly stressed, and in total crisis mode. After calling numerous shops that all turned us away, MDR Automotive stepped up to help. They let us tow the Jeep in on Friday night and had it completely fixed by Saturday. It turned out to be the alternator, and they only charged us $360. Being stranded travelers, we were in a vulnerable position where a dishonest shop easily could have taken advantage of us and overcharged. Instead, MDR showed immense integrity and honesty.
