Verge Center for the Arts is the leading cultural institution in the Sacramento region for contemporary art and ideas. It has a mission to extend the dialogue about contemporary art to the central valley and provides vital resources to local career and emerging artists, as well as offering arts education opportunities for youth and adults. Visitors have found the environment and people at Verge to be simply awesome. The on-site Axis Gallery is a bonus, and the Members' show alone is worth the trip. The clay classes and workshops are particularly praised, with the staff being welcoming, kind, professional, and supportive, creating a positive and fulfilling experience for beginners and advanced artists alike. Verge is described as a fantastic place for artists of all ages and for anyone interested in learning about art. Went here to take class of stone lithography printing. That phrase may be redundant, but I learned a lot, had a good time, and left with a print I made from start to finish. The Verge has all kinds of art classes, as well as temporary exhibitions in their gallery.
