“One of the best stores in the Sacramento area. I love getting local gifts for folks in my family/life for the holidays and this place never fails to deliver. If you are from the Sacramento area, or have somebody in town that is just visiting, you have to come and visit this place. They have adorable and inclusive gifts from gag gifts to super sentimental things as well. It is really the best place that you can get local things from. I will say that the selection is amazing from local creators. I have found adorable books, candles, stickers and so much more from Strapping. I am so happy that they found their home in the Sacramento area because I cannot go anywhere else and find the quality of local items like I can here.”

“We came in looking for some slab for a desk, fell in love with a 3 - 4" thick piece of walnut that had warped a bit but they could salvage some for our 1.25" desk plan. Half down as a deposit, Made some drawings including how to process the drop, sent it off, and they started on it.Turns out the piece was still too wet in their opinion (therefore would continue to warp) and they began looking for another piece.We ran out of time for the project and they were understanding and happy to refund the project. Incredibly happy they could tell it was still too wet because I was already fretting if this desk would warp on me.I will 100% be coming back for wood when I can take on this project again!”

“I happened to have a day off and it was sunny, so I decided to go be a tourist in the town I live in! So glad I did. This shop has some really beautiful Native American jewelry and all of the expected accoutrements. The lady who was working was so nice and knowledgeable about the items. I ended up purchasing a gorgeous leather belt and will definitely go back if the need arises for anything they have!”

“We absolutely love Zanzibar!! We been coming to Zanzibar for over 10 years. Their free trade, and here is 2nd time at the new place. It's so much bigger here in the new location. Yes They have rooms with each place to visit from Japan, China, Africa, Mexico, and Indonesia from all over the world beautiful art, jewelry, statues, to small stones for good luck, and greeting cards. They even do gift wrapping for you too. We are flying back so the they use bubble wrap on my porcelain cup. And gifts to go home You can follow them on Facebook to they sell to on live. They have so prices are moderate to Higher prices They sell online too. The owners are so friendly and knowledgeable and funny too. I Can stay at this store for over a hour just looking before I buy. So much to see. And they have a parking with gate on the side. My Sister and us love coming here when we come in Sacramento a fun trip always here.”

“I had been looking for an Italian sofa for a while but always hesitated to order till I found furnitalia. The reviews seem too good to be true.. so, I drove from hHayward to Sacramento to see the show room... It was amazing and not only did they have furniture, but they also do amazing remodeling. I bought the sofa in the picture attached which Dmitriy and Eugene delivered personally because they were going to also survey my kitchen for a potential remodel. I have to say that this is a small business and the service is amazing. Looking forward to doing more projects with them in my new house. Oh... and the prices are significantly reasonable for the extremely great quality they offer.Katya helped me with the sofa - She was Spectacular and kept it real.”

“Very cute, convenient store next to Smiles Market. I finally got my chance to walk in the store officially on 1.21.24!! I enjoyed my time there. Lots of choices of items to choose from. I loved all the options. Great prices, which are affordable, too! The man that works there is very nice, polite, and helpful. We loved talking to him while we were window shopping. He has a charming smile that makes us all happy to shop there comfortably. I definitely want to come back as I am interested in buying a blanket there and a firm pillow that I would like to gift to my dad. Overall I want to come shop here again. I was always curious about shopping in this store in the past but always came by when it was either closed or I did not have time to go in when I was passing by to grab my groceries at Smiles. I'm glad I was finally able to go this year and see what I have been missing. The store is a bit tight when looking at things, but I don't feel as overwhelmed when I look as it's very general and basic to the point. The store isn't big like KP, but I feel it's easier to look around without feeling overwhelmed, if that makes sense? Small, yet intimate to get the time you need without feeling as though something was overlooked. It's all self-explanatory, all in eyes view without over looking at all the products.”

“I didn't know when hobby lobby sold Gundam model kits but when I found out I bought one just about every week since they do 40% off sale. I got so many gunplas in my collection. I bought my first gunpla sometime in 2019. The store had HGs and some RG kits now they sell some MG kits too. Hobby lobby has the best prices for models kits during their sale week.”

“Yes, I purchased a dining room table at American furniture Saturday evening, and was very pleased with the great service from John. The table was 50% off so I got a really good deal on it and also received my sofa loveseat recliners two days ago and was also very pleased with those. I will continue shopping there for any furniture needs because of their good quality furniture with great prices and great friendly service with no pressure. I highly recommend this place !”

“Customer service is great. All the inventory is neatly setup and I appreciated that it was not overly cluttered. Inventory varies but they have a little bit of everything; so everyone in your party will surely find something they like. Some furniture is new, other is used but the price signs inform you exactly what you are buying. Inspect items thoroughly as I learned that the hard way with a side table I purchased. Seems like the previously used items usually have some defect and I didn't notice until I was unloading at home. Other than that, I love this place.”

“The Constellation Market is a small retail gift shop located in the Arthouse on R Street that features small batch goods, handmade gifts, and boutique finds with an emphasis on Sacramento-region makers and entrepreneurs.Upon walking into the store, I was immediately taken in by the large mural at the back of the store encouraging shoppers to shop local (always a good sentiment no matter where you go). My eyes were then drawn to the wide variety of merchandise which included beauty products, home decor, jewelry, clothing, and small souvenirs. After perusing their shelves for some time, I decided to purchase several items - some as gifts for myself, while others to gift to friends.I purchased postcards with a map of Sacramento illustrated by Queeny Lu of Traveling Calligrapher, Citrus Mint soy wax candles from Fish & Chip Craft Co., plant stakes that read "Please don't die" (a very relatable feeling for many of us plant parents) created by Mostly Just Tired a local Sacramento maker, and last but not least mini tinted unscented lip balms in peach crafted by loveBBgoods based in Davis, CA. In my little haul alone, I was able to purchase a variety of goods from local artisans, which I think is something truly unique to The Constellation Market.If you're looking to support a local business and local makers, then you definitely need to stop by The Constellation Market - with their wide selection of products, there's certainly something here for everyone.”

“This store goes above and beyond with customer service. I purchased the Ashyln Bookcase yesterday, and after unpacking all of the pieces discovered it was missing two of the cam bolts needed to put it together. When I contacted the main World Market number the day after purchase, I was told the missing parts were "unavailable for replacement" and that I could "possibly" return or exchange the bookcase, or contact other stores to try and find the part (which shouldn't be my job since I purchased an item with missing parts). Return or exchange would have been near impossible since I live 30 minutes away and had to unpack all of the very heavy pieces to discover the missing parts. Enter Lexi, the employee who not only patiently listened to my tale of woe, but then called multiple stores to see if they had the missing parts, found them, and then offered to drive to Citrus Heights, pick up the parts, and mail them to my home. Way to go, Lexi!”

“After searching for ages for a specific dining room table that I had in mind, I finally gave up and decided to look for a local woodworker here in Sacramento who could bring my vision to life. I reached out to Mike at Ambrose Woodworks after I found his website and saw his portfolio of live edge furniture pieces.I had my eye on a white elm dining table that he handcrafted, and I sent a message to him to see if I could check it out in person. Mike was a great communicator, and he invited me to his studio to look at a couple finished pieces as well as some wood slabs that he had available. As a side note - I walked in while the album 'A Deeper Understanding' by The War on Drugs was playing in the background (one of my favorites), and I just knew this would be an awesome experience.As soon as my eyes saw the white elm dining table, I knew it was the one. I stood there in awe as I saw the way he managed to highlight all the natural beauty and variations in the white elm slabs and wood grain. The quality and craftsmanship were unmatched. The attention to detail was next level. This table was a true work of art, and I knew it was going to be admired on a daily basis as the centerpiece of my home.Not only is Mike a skilled woodworker, but he is also an experienced metalworker. I had a different vision in mind for the table legs, and he was able to collaborate with me to come up with an idea for an angular V leg base that would be constructed with matching wood. After he came up with the prototype, he realized that the structural integrity would be compromised due to the heavy weight of the table top. From an engineering standpoint, the stability of the table would be greater if he were to fabricate a metal angular V leg base. He did just that and had the table legs powder coated matte white to match. The table turned out to be exactly what I had envisioned, and I was beyond thrilled once the table was delivered.Mike Ambrose is one of the most talented craftsmen I've ever worked with, and he takes great pride in all his pieces. He's super passionate about his work, and his heart and soul can be seen in everything that he creates. I'm very lucky to be able to appreciate one of his masterpieces on a daily basis!”

“Visions of Eden in Old Sacramento is one of the many souvenir stores there. But they're not the same as the other stores. Visions of Eden carried many items I couldn't find at the other souvenir stores. The store is beautiful! This was the first thing on my mind when I walked into the store. They have a much better way of displaying the items. The souvenirs in Visions of Eden are more attractive than their competitors in Old Sacramento. The workers there are friendly and attentive. I got a nice greeting from two of the employees there. They also politely offered help. The prices are comparable to all the souvenir shops in the tourist district. But I feel more comfortable to shop here.”
