“We absolutely love Zanzibar!! We been coming to Zanzibar for over 10 years. Their free trade, and here is 2nd time at the new place. It's so much bigger here in the new location. Yes They have rooms with each place to visit from Japan, China, Africa, Mexico, and Indonesia from all over the world beautiful art, jewelry, statues, to small stones for good luck, and greeting cards. They even do gift wrapping for you too. We are flying back so the they use bubble wrap on my porcelain cup. And gifts to go home You can follow them on Facebook to they sell to on live. They have so prices are moderate to Higher prices They sell online too. The owners are so friendly and knowledgeable and funny too. I Can stay at this store for over a hour just looking before I buy. “My old review pretty much sums up my feelings about Evangeline's. One of the best shops in Old Sac. and in town! It's nice that the costume section is now open all year long instead of just during the Halloween season like they did in the distant past. It has been a few years since I have been back since my fiancée Joe K. had passed away. We both loved to dress up for Halloween, Sci fi/fantasy conventions and Yelp themed events. We had a lot of commonalities together. At first, I was a bit melancholy about entering the store, but this time, I came here with my sister to look for an outfit that she could wear for her grandchild's "Frozen" themed birthday party. We found a suitable dress that she seemed to like, but she didn't want to try it on first, thinking it was the correct size to fit her. However, it was a disappointment when she finally tried it on at home. First, it looked too big on her. The attached sashes were placed in an unflattering location on the dress, and all the glitter that was glued on, made a huge mess everywhere! Also, the long blonde wig that we had chosen in it's package, turned out to have grey streaks in it! Bad choices on both of our parts! Even though our shopping trip here didn't fulfill what her hopes were, I still have to give this business five stars, because our selections were not their fault. Evangeline's is still one of my favorite places to visit and to reminisce about the happy times Joe K and I shared together. Maybe, someday in the future, I'll have reasons to return and continue with new memories and a renewed enthusiasm...”

“If I could rate higher than five stars I would. Every time I'm in the store, Howard greets us with a smile and looks genuinely happy to help me out with whatever questions I have. I purchased two rings from Skalet and the design ended up fading a bit. I was really nervous to go back in and ask what can be done about it but Howard told us it simply needed to be re-ionized(?) and he was glad to do it for us free of charge. He even went as far as telling us about the process so we could look into doing it ourselves in the future since we're leaving the area. “The Constellation Market is a small retail gift shop located in the Arthouse on R Street that features small batch goods, handmade gifts, and boutique finds with an emphasis on Sacramento-region makers and entrepreneurs.Upon walking into the store, I was immediately taken in by the large mural at the back of the store encouraging shoppers to shop local (always a good sentiment no matter where you go). My eyes were then drawn to the wide variety of merchandise which included beauty products, home decor, jewelry, clothing, and small souvenirs. After perusing their shelves for some time, I decided to purchase several items - some as gifts for myself, while others to gift to friends.I purchased postcards with a map of Sacramento illustrated by Queeny Lu of Traveling Calligrapher, Citrus Mint soy wax candles from Fish & Chip Craft Co., plant stakes that read "Please don't die" (a very relatable feeling for many of us plant parents) created by Mostly Just Tired a local Sacramento maker, and last but not least mini tinted unscented lip balms in peach crafted by loveBBgoods based in Davis, CA. In my little haul alone, I was able to purchase a variety of goods from local artisans, which I think is something truly unique to The Constellation Market.If you're looking to support a local business and local makers, then you definitely need to stop by The Constellation Market - with their wide selection of products, there's certainly something here for everyone.”
