“We came here for the Visions Museum and found this great watercolor museum hosted by the San Diego Watercolor Society. Several paintings were highlighted by their wins at the most recent show/contest. Each month, visitors select the painting of the month, which is on display for a month.
This is a great place to learn watercolor with the great library of resources. The dedicated volunteers here were very friendly and answered all our questions.

“I finally got a chance to do the indigo dyeing workshop with Lauren and brought my two friends with me! We had the best time. What an incredible way to spend an afternoon or two learning a really fun approachable new form of art, working with your hands. Lauren was a great teacher, very supportive of our crazy ideas and was a great balance of structure vs. going with the flow and allowing the students interests guide the class. Opening each piece and revealing the pattern was almost better than Christmas morning! Cannot wait to return for more alumni days.”

“I love Good Faith Gallery. I missed Kusama's Infinity Room because I didn't get to make a reservation once we got in, and now it's closed. At the time, you couldn't reserve a spot to the Infinity Room until you arrived at the museum and reserved your spot at a kiosk inside. Still loved everything I saw. Went to Grand Central Market and Angel's Flight afterwards. Probably my favorite museum in LA.”
“We stumbled upon their class schedule posted up outside the Icarus Creative Arts store while strolling through the village during the Friday night summer art walk. Luckily my friend took a photo of the class that was being offered on my birthday or I would have not been able to locate the information to reference when reserving our class seats. The class schedule for this specific store can be difficult to locate when searching on the Bernardo Winery website because Icarus Creative Arts is a separate website so I have included the link below for convenience. This is also included on the BW website but can get confusing with all the different shops if you aren't a regular here. I would recommend just calling them with any questions you may have if you are not very internet savy! Class Schedule Link; They offer a wide variety of different types of art classes but we came for the acrylic painting of an aurora borealis. Class began at 5:30 PM so we were able to hear the live music start playing shortly afterwards as we painted. We had a male teacher who did a great job of going around the room directing everyone on what can be done to improve their painting without offending anyone. Class moves forward at a quick pace so if you need further direction you have to ask more questions but he was very helpful and gave lots of feedback on the little details! My only complaint was the servers attitude at the tasting room when we went to redeem our glasses of wine that came "free" with the class. Both times different servers made a statement with a negative connotation about giving away "free" glasses of wine which took away part of the fun and was sort of a buzz kill. We paid $45 per person for a WINE AND PAINT night so I believe we deserve these complimmenaty glasses of wine that are included in the class thank you ladies! Other than that, the end result of the paintings all came out so beautifully! It's also fun for those wandering the Friday night art walk to stop in and admire everyone's work and how each piece is unique and comes out differently. I would definitely reccomend comming here if you are in the mood to get your creative juices flowing! It is nice to let go of your inhibitions & learn how to just enjoy the process of having fun creating art!”

“This was my second time buying from Oopsy daisy. The first time, I bought the Up a Tree growth chart for my son’s nursery. I couldn’t believe how beautiful it was, and (3 years later) it is still the most eye-catching feature of his room. We get tons of compliments on it. So when I heard I was getting a niece, and she, too, would have a woodland-themed nursery, I was thrilled to find Oopsy daisy had the perfect growth chart for her as well - wildflower woodland. What’s best about these particular designs is that they’re not super “baby-ish” and will still look fitting in their rooms as we track their growth over the years. Quality is outstanding - these will be lifelong keepsakes of our kids.”

“My girlfriend and I were rushing to our restaurant reservation but, as we passed by, it caught our attention and we couldn't help but stop by quickly. We felt like we're in a different world as soon as we entered. We were stunned and mesmerized by the different shades of blue Margaret was using. She welcomed us warmly with a big smile even though she was busy painting. Our visit was brief, yet it left a big mark on us. We'll definitely stop by next time we're in SD!”

“Such a unique and incredible experience I have visiting this place, the atmosphere was beyond stunning with their own beautiful artwork hanging around the brightly colored walls; it genuinely felt comforting throughout the whole appointment! Everyone is beyond friendly and the creative freedom these artist have is honestly so wonderful to see. Klaudia was my artist and throughout it all her communication was above and beyond. She always responded within good notice and will work with you just to make sure you get the perfect tattoo for you. When I arrived for my appointment, I was met by so much hospitality from all the artists and Klaudia was no different. Klaudia and I clicked instantly and I knew I could trust her to give me the perfect tattoo, in which she did! “Kyle at The Art of Framing is truly in a league of his own. I called dozens of framing shops trying to find someone who could build a shadow box that opens. “Came to get my SONO Chili fest Ticket and Bowl. I was so mad I missed last years event (first one after lockdown was lifted) that I knew I had to get here for the pre-sale! Did not disappoint! The line went down the entire BLOCK and around the corner-seriously!! At least 50+ chili heads were shivering in line when I got there around 6:40pm and they opened at 6:00! Who knows how long the line was before that! Picked my adorable bowl with the help of volunteer students from the studio and checked out super easy! The line turned out to be mainly because everyone was trying to find the 'best bowl that sung their heart song' lol. I even grabbed a yummy pizza and antipasto next door after, too!”

Full of useful facts and date and has a fantastic sense of humor. I let go of a twentieth century bronze sculpture and was pleasantly paid quickly and generously. “My wife and I stopped at this Art center inside Balboa Park while we were in San Diego. We specifically came to this area because my wife wanted to visit the small stores here and look at their jewelry. I also took the time to feed our daughter here as well. The weather was still cloudy so the sun didn't come out yet but it was humid.
The area is decorated colorful to show the art around this area. There also a little water fountain toward the back kind of hidden. The concrete floor here is also in different colors to show the artistic side of things.”
