“IF I COULD GIVE THIS HOME DEPOT LOCATION 10 STARS, I WOULD GIVE 11.I was blown away this afternoon by tye cleanliness and organization of the store and its employees. I actually was looking for something and an employee asked me if I needed any help. You might think this to be a common thing, but ket me tell you it is not. Some stores you go in the employees don't even greet the paying customers let alone ask if they can assist in any way.I have been to some locations where you have a very hard time with making a return, but here you are treated with respect as customer.I have to mention this because as I was looking for the store manager to comment about my enjoyable experience today in this location, the employee helping me mentioned that the manager is off today, but he offered to direct me to the Assistant Manager named Courtney.LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT Courtney the Assistant Manager.As I was approaching Courtney he was assisting one of the cashiers who had a question about a guy trying to make a purchase with cash that Courtney observed where sketchy bills.I was blown away at how that situation was handled. It was handled so professionally by Courtney abd saved the company a whole lot of money due to what that guy was trying to purchase.Courtney gave him the option to pay with a card or either we can call the authorities, to which case the man immediately left the store.Courtney and tgat Cashier deserve a raise and promotion!!!”

“What a beautiful shopping experience my wife and I had in the Gardening Department this past weekend for Mother's Day. Our questions about plant material and much more was answered by Joseph and Candisse and then Johnn reassured us as we checked out. Trust me, my wife and I take notice of names and service. Joseph not only answered our questioned in gardening but walked with us into the store to show us where our additional shopping needs could be met. Joseph - An extra thank you to you!! Your product was fairly well stocked in gardening and we didn't feel like we were rushed to make a decision like we usually feel when asking a question. As an FYI, 2 registers should have been open, the lines were too long.”

“My favorite location. The employees are always helpful. I usually find what I need. They always spend time explaining other options or recommendations to the customer. I’ve only had one run in with an employee. His demeanor towards me seemed to be irritated and angry when I asked him about military discount at the register. Like he could not be bothered by it at the time. Other than that I don’t enjoy going to any other Home Depot other than this location.”

“A lot of friendly staff. We went at 11am on Sunday but surprisingly it wasn't very busy. They only had self checkouts. We went in looking for a particular bonding primer Ace sells but the Home Depot only carries a few major brands, the best one being Kilz.”

“We have been going to Home Depot in Mission Valley for years and are extremely happy with the 'Service', 'Selection' and 'Value' at that location. That said, it was wonderful to get the same excellence in all the above at this warehouse off Genesee Ave in Clairemont. Ryan (who I thought was the "HD Manager") immediately asked how he could help and when I shared that we had ordered a product on-line, he quickly knew what to do - and he did it! I listened as Ryan picked up the phone and introduced himself to a manager at another store with such a clear, calm, and warm voice that I knew he would have a positive outcome from his call - and he did! My guess is that if he chooses, Ryan will be a "Manager" in no time at all.”

“I usually go to Genesee Home Depot and they are always really fast with curbside pickup but unfortunately they didn’t have my items. I did curbside pickup here after waiting 15 minutes and no one coming I finally went into the store to wait in the long line. Then the associate tried to give me my order without an item saying it wasn’t included in the order even after I showed her my email receipt. I’d rather pay for shipping than come here again.***** Update. Several staff from HD contacted me after my review to apologize for my experience and offered us a discount. Today Cory, the manager at HD and Allie, a HD employee made a surprise visit to our house and hand delivered to our house a welcome HD bucket with a bunch of HD goodies and a toy for my kiddos! I wish I’d taken a picture to post. Hands down, Cory and his team are AMAZING, they truly go the extra mile (or 15 in my case) when things don’t go as planned with the customer experience.”
