Fairmont San Francisco is a historic and classy hotel that offers spacious and clean rooms, many of which have great views of the bay. The hotel is located near a variety of activities, including brand stores and walking areas close to the ocean, providing plenty of things to do nearby. The on-site restaurant serves good cuisine, and the hotel is known for being dog-friendly, with helpful staff who aim to make guests feel comfortable. However, some guests have experienced issues during their stay. Check-in can be slow, especially if payment problems occur, and service at times can be inconsistent, with delays in room service and difficulties with amenities like the mini bar and bathrobes. Staff interactions have sometimes been less helpful or friendly, leading to feelings of disappointment. Despite the hotel’s historic charm and prime location, some guests feel it is overpriced for the level of service and amenities provided, and find it less lively than expected for a resort. Overall, Fairmont San Francisco offers a comfortable stay with notable positives but also areas needing improvement.
Fairmount remains on the top of my favorite hotel brands. Was delighted with lots of goodies and f&b credits with my Accor loyalty. Only regret was Tonga wasn’t open on a Sunday

I was there for a conference and the stay was absolutely wonderful.

Beautiful and elegant building. Good service. Not too many choices at the restaurant menu. Slow service. Food is pretty mediocre.
